The aim of this study was to examine how the social services could investigate and support children of irregular immigrants within the boundaries of the law. More specifically it aimed to examine the legal possibilities and obstacles for the social services to support irregular immigrants, how the officials at the social services act considering the legal aspects, and how they reason morally and ethically when dealing with irregular immigrants. To answer the aim of the study the theory of positive law was used combined with qualitative interviews with two officials at the social services. Moreover a small quantitative telephone study with officials in the social services and with voluntary organizations was made. The study has used theories of sociology of law, law and ethics, and professional (civil) disobedience.

The main purpose of this master thesis is to investigate in what ways library and public preschool cooperate with families with immigrants background in developing and protecting children's languages and cultures in two districts, Hässleholmen and Norrby, in the community of Borås. I want to investigate the parent's meaning of view according to which roles the libraries and public preschools involvement play. The study is based on qualitative interviews. Nine interviews were undertaken with parents who live in these two districts and five interviews with the librarians and preschool teachers who work in the libraries or the public preschools. The study of relevant literature, which describes topics such as psychological aspects of immigration, facts about children with immigrant's background and their language development and multicultural librarianship, provides a basis for the discussion.

Sweden has long been nonaligned in peace with the aim to remain neutral in the event of an outbreak of war. Building confidence for this neutrality was important for Sweden during the Cold War. This placed high demands on the Swedish Navy to detect and repel violations of Swedish territorial waters. The archives, which contain the secret reports on the violations that occurred during the 1960s, have recently been opened up.The purpose of this essay is to study how the incidents that took place in Swedish territorial waters in the 1960s were managed and to examine if the handling of them was different depending on whether they were caused by the east or west side. Furthermore, the aim is also to try to categorize and interpret these measures from the two pairs of concepts of deterrence and reassurance and integration and screening.In making it possible to answer the questions, all the reports - 66 altogether - which refers to the incidents which occurred during the years 1962 through 1969, have been studied.

This essay studies the christening rites in Church of Sweden and what theological motives that are present herein, and how the current revision of the rites have brought in new theological motives with the basis in the contemporary theological debate about the liturgy and theology surrounding the christening rites.The conclusion of the essay is that the revised christening rites have not included any new motives, but has rather restructured and re-emphasized the motives to adopt the christening rites to the findings of contemporary research regarding the christening..

The purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine what needs and expectations the patrons have on the local public library services for adult students. With increased knowledge of these matters the library will be able to support and improve the service for users. The focus is on adult students with immigrant background who study Swedish as second language in a municipal adult education school. The main questions are: How do adult students use the library at present? What do they consider to be most important when using the public library for their studies? How do these expectations correspond to their experience of the library services? Two focusgroups and one in-depth interview were carried out.

Despite this need, harmonization continues to be far from achieved in the area of direct taxation which also affects the integration and growth opportunities for SMEs. In the Agenda for Entrepreneurship, the Home State Taxation regime, which is based on formula apportionment, has been proposed by the Commission as one option in order to mutually recognize the different Member States? taxation systems to facilitate cross-border activities and reduce ?red-tape?.

I dagens svenska samhälle finns det många människor med utländsk bakgrund och skolan har blivit en plats där möte mellan olika kulturer dagligen sker, vilket i sin tur öppnar möjligheter för en integration. Tidigare forskning menar att svenska skolan är en av de viktigaste institutionerna där olika etniska och religiösa identiteter kan mötas. Läroplanen för det obligatoriska skolväsendet menar att internationaliseringen ställer högre krav på människor att leva i en kulturell mångfald. Dock har forskare valt att koncentrera sig på att se hur lärare jobbar med invandrarelever i de teoretiska ämnena, vilket gjort att det finns i lucka i forskningen när det gäller ämnet Idrott och hälsa och integration.Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka idrottslärares syn på hur ämnet Idrott och hälsa fungerar som en integrationsarena, det vill säga hur lärarna ser på problem och möjligheter i undervisningen när det gäller att integrera invandrarelever i skolans värld och i det svenska samhället.Vi har valt att göra en kvalitativ undersökning, genom att intervjua fem lärare som undervisar i ämnet Idrott och hälsa. Dessa lärare har även erfarenhet av undervisning av både invandrarelever och svenska elever. Vår undersökning visar att idrottslärarna ser invandrareleverna som en tillgång i undervisningen, eftersom alla kan ta lärdom av varandras olikheter.

Syftet med min studie är att beskriva arbetsgivares upplevelser och erfarenheter, av arbetet med att integrera anställda med funktionsnedsättning i verksamheten. Arbetsgivarna har tagit emot arbetstagare med funktionsnedsättning och nedsatt arbetsförmåga, via så kallad övergång från Samhall AB. Människor med funktionsnedsättning har svårare att nå, få och behålla arbete och exkluderas från arbetsmarknaden, vilket regeringen har som ambition att förbättra. Samhället ska präglas av mångfald och allas lika rättigheter. Detta innebär bland annat allas rätt till arbete för en fortsatt välfärd.

Det övergripande syftet med denna studie är att utveckla kunskap och få en ökad förståelse av musikskolan El Sistemas verksamhet i Sverige med utgångspunkt i en av El Sistemaskolorna i Göteborg. Det har varit av vikt att utforska huruvida El Sistemas arbetssätt och metoder är någonting utöver vad som kan sägas vara ?vanlig? musikundervisning i musik- och kulturskola. Därför har det även varit väsentligt att sätta sig in i skolans bakomliggande idéer och förutsättningar. Studiens teoretiska ram är inspirerad av sociokulturell teori och genomförandet av etnografisk metod. Resultaten har dock främst framkommit genom kvalitativa intervjuer med fyra pedagoger och sex elever.

With an estimated 250 ethnic groups, Nigeria, no doubt, has been grappling with the problem of pluralism of ethnic nationalities. It is not news in Nigeria that extreme ethnic consciousness of its citizens has led to the victimization of one ethnic group by another. This victimization has come in the form of exclusions in the distribution of both wealth and power in the country.Amidst all the exclusions, the unity of the country has been ironically regarded as sacrosanct, and should not be negotiated. It is often said that fate brought all the ethnic nationalities in order to form one great country. I subscribe to this belief that fate brought us together for the above purpose, especially now that several countries around the world are merging in one way or the other to form a formidable force to reckon with both politically and economically.
