This diploma work, with the title Represent and Consume the Land ?I drove following the picture of a spruce through Sweden, is presented as a film and an essay and the aim is to explore the perception of an individual with the film as the medium. To reach this, it is necessary to destabilize my own reality, to explore myself at the same time as I study landscapes and representations of landscapes. The diploma work focus on representations of landscapes of Sweden, external pictures and internal Images. The picture is a very strong medium that holds and comunicate myths, about the landscape and about the nation.

Menopause is a complex, paradoxical totality and every menopausal experience is differentfrom the other. This essay aims to capture some of the experiences surrounding it.The main questions is what it is that the women of the study share about menopause, andhow they talk about it. The material consists of interviews with eight women from the ages 51to 81, all of whom are either in menopause or have come out of it, and narratives collectedpartly on my own website ?Övergången? (?Transition?) and on the Internet via blogs and adiscussion board on menopause.Using Goffmans theories on interaction and roles and theories about gender and age as asocial construction I discovered that it is ambiguous messages that are thrown at the middleaged woman in menopause. Menopause is not always a welcome part of the role as a woman.The menopause is also associated with aging and a woman is expected to experiencemenopause during a certain age and period in the life schedule, often the middle age.

Big Image är ett företag som trycker stora bilder, på bland annat polyesterförstärkt PVC-duk, till både butiker och teatrar. När en eller flera PVC-dukar måste skarvas för att uppnå rätt bildstorlek använder sig företaget av symaskiner. Detta är dock ett tidskrävande arbete och målet är att hitta en ny metod att skarva dukarna.Enligt nulägesanalysen används all golvyta i Big Images lokal. Big Image har en svets som svetsar med hett verktyg vilken inte fungerar tillräckligt bra för att vara lönsam. Under en omvärldsanalys besöktes ett företag som specialiserat sig på att svetsa plastdukar.

Kameraövervakningen i samhället ökar idag kraftigt. Statistik från BRÅ visar att den tillståndspliktiga och anmälningspliktiga kameraövervakningen ökat från knappt 5000 tillstånd 1999 till 6100 tillstånd och 3200 anmälningar om kameraövervakning i början av 2002. Samtidigt som användningen av kam-eraövervakning ökat har också toleransen för kameraövervakning ökat. Detta har även samverkat med att lagstiftningen utvecklats och det blivit lättare att få använda kameraövervakning.Tillstånd eller anmälan till länsstyrelsen om kameraövervakning måste i de flesta fall göras för att kame-raövervakning, om den kan användas för personövervakning, skall vara tillåten då övervakningen skall ske på plats dit allmänheten har tillträde. Uppsatsen behandlar de huvudsakliga reglerna kring kameraö-vervakning och hur lagstiftningen förändrats sedan den första regleringen infördes i och med lagen om TV-övervakning, via lagen om övervakningskameror (ÖKL), till den nu gällande lagen om allmän ka-meraövervakning (LAK).

The purpose of this thesis was to examine the relationship between feelings and visualizations of climate change. A case study was done on visualizations of climate change from a web page concerning climate change published by the Swedish newspaper Expressen and from the American photographer Gary Braasch?s web page ?World view of global warming?. The thesis is based on the article ?Emotional anchoring and objectification in the media reporting on climate change? by Birgitta Höijer.

Visualization plays a key role in the concept of Lean. Lean was developed in Japan as a business philosophy in order to lead to an activity, where only steps that contribute to customer value of the final product are being performed. By defining the customer value and establish visualized standards, it is possible to see when situations differ from the standard. Then it?s possible to lead the process back on track.

En utmärkande egenskap hos nästintill all dagens teknik är att den innehar funktioner med syfte att utöka och stödja människans kognitiva förmågor. Det kan vara funktioner som stödjer vårt minne, som styr vår uppmärksamhet eller hjälper oss att planera och organisera aktiviteter. I Sverige har det blivit allt vanligare att teknologi i form av smartphones, surfplattor och datorer används på ett utbrett sätt i elevernas skolgång. Enligt tidigare forskning är däremot lärarnas inre föreställningar och attityder gentemot teknologin en avgörande faktor för huruvida lärarna i slutändan väljer att integrera teknologin i sin undervisning, och på vilket sätt som de väljer att göra detta. Den aktuella studiens syfte var att undersöka lärarnas föreställningar och attityder gentemot fem kognitiva funktioner som finns i teknologiska enheter som smartphones och surfplattor.

En ökad textilkonsumtion har lett fram till en problematik kring miljöpåverkan på grund av den ökade mängden använda textilier som ska hanteras efter produkternas död. För att ta till vara på de dyrbara resurser som har använts för att skapa textila produkter, har intresset för återvinning av textila fibrer ökat. Forskningen inom återvinning av bomullsfibrer har däremot inte kommit tillräckligt långt för att produktion av återvunna fibrer av hög kvalité ska kunna göras storskalig. Detta speciellt eftersom problem med exempelvis blandfibrer och separerbarhet försvårar arbetet. Det finns förändringar som kan göras av modeföretag i produktutvecklingsfasen redan idag, vilka kan underlätta återvinningsprocessen och syftar till att skapa ett slutet system i framtiden.

Today, Sweden has about forty companies owned by the government. These are active on markets with variable competition. Some have been given special areas of responsibility that in a practical notion make them monopolists. The period when most public companies where formed (and with that the following subjection to competition) during the nineties and early 2000's, forced the formerly protected businesses to act on the terms of the open market. Parallel to this development the brand has for the last twenty years evolved into something great strategic importance for the business, including the business-to-businesses (B2B).

The aim of this work was to find out what potential contaminants from roads, residential area and businesses within Svedens industrial area that can affect groundwater quality and quantity. Data collection was from SGU, VISS, internal material from Gävleborg county Administrative Board and Gävle municipality archive. GIS software ArcGIS was used to create the map Images in the work. The studied area is located approximately ten kilometers west of Gävle city and consists of the esker Valboåsen, which is a glacifluvial deposit that in its central parts consist of coarse material that is overlaid by sand, clay and silt. North of esker Valboåsen there are the river Gavleån which has an inflow to the groundwater in the esker. This inflow represents the largest part of the groundwater recharge.

In autumn of 2021, the anthology A Bridge of Poetry was given to all six-year-olds in Sweden. The anthology contains both older and contemporary poetry, as well as both children?s poetry and poetry written for experienced readers. The idea is that, with the help of an adult, texts and Images, and in some cases short movies, will together stimulate children?s thoughts and initiate conversations, as well as arousing children?s curiosity about poetry.

Our planet is faced with enormous challenges as the extreme weather events related to the human-caused climate change continue to gain strength. The scale of the problem has made changing human behaviour the central focus of sustainable development, and both public and private sector are expected to gain relevant expertise and introduce this work in their agenda. Over its 40-year history, social marketing has become an established field providing tools for social change, but compared to health promotion, sustainability has not been a major focus of social marketing research so far. At the same time, sustainable lifestyles are embedded in complex systems where both individual factors and those of physical and social environment play a defining role in their adoption. Communities are a good example of such environments, and they became the key focus of Community-Based Social Marketing, which combines different insights from psychology to suggest a step-by-step framework for crafting behaviour change campaigns. However, it has not been applied to larger and diverse communities, like cities, and has not focused on sustaining new behaviour over time, which is crucial for creating sustainable lifestyles.

Residential estates are created without any adaptation to the users who will use them. Clients wouldprofit on involving users in an early project stage to create housing estates adapted to the user?s needsand wishes. Clients of the housing estates that require missions from consultants should realize that noone exclusive can represent other people's needs, regardless of the theoretical expertise they possess. TheSwedish million programme in the 1970s is an example of how objective expertise gained control, whichled to the creation of outdoor environments where few wanted to stay and live.

The purpose of this study was to investigate what knowledge 16 year old highschool students have when it comes to text- and imageposting on social media and how they act on the basis of their skills and attitudes on text and image publishing. An important aspect of this was to investigate the impact of young people 's identity in relation to text- and image posting on social media as this according to research is a big part of what motivates young people in their everyday practices (Buckingham, 2008). The essay questions was , What is young people?s experience on posting text- and image on social media? How aware are young people at the pros and cons on posting text and Images on social media? What are young people's attitudes about text and image posting? And how do young people act on the basis of experience , awareness and attitude? Which role plays identity in their actions? To seek answers to my questions and achieve the aim of the thesis was conducted three semi-structured focusgroup interviews in collaboration with two high schools. The results have been reported, interpreted and analyzed by pattern-seeking. The theoretical framework used in this paper is the research and theories of primarily media researchers who have distinguished themselves in the Media and Youth research, For example, Ulla Carlsson, David Buckingham, Sonia Livingstone and Kristen Drotner.

Föreliggande rapport redovisar resultat från den svenska pilotstudien inom det internationella s.k. SINR-projektet (Societal Images of Natural Recovery). Detta projekt syftar till ökad kunskap om hur olika synsätt, hos allmänheten såväl som inom olika professionella grupper, påverkar människor möjligheter att komma tillrätta med olika former av missbruk. Som ett första steg i projektet har i hittills sex större städer i fem olika länder ett mindre antal svarande, representerande olika samhällsgrupper, tillfrågats om sin uppfattning om möjligheterna att på egen hand ta sig ur olika slag av missbruksproblem. Den svenska pilotstudien har, på uppdrag av FoU-enheten, av tre socionomstuderande vid Stockholms universitet i form av ett examensarbete.
