Each municipality in Sweden have to offer all children a place in a pre-school class starting the autumn term of the year the child turns six until it starts compulsory school. Despite the fact that it is a non-compulsory education, 95 % of all six-year-olds attend pre-school class.The purpose of this study has been to explore how pre-school and compulsory schools organize the pre-school children?s transition to pre-school. It also aims at examining how teachers? co-operate in order to fulfill the commission of the national curriculum and how they make a smooth transition to the new school for the children.Research questions: In what way do teachers in pre-school and compulsory school co-operate in in order to make the children?s transition easy? What part of the process and which operators are most important for the children in the transition? To what extent does the school organization fulfill the commission of the national curriculum regarding co-operation between pre-school and compulsory school?To answer these questions I have used a qualitative method where I have made seven interviews as well as a text analysis of annual reports from the studied schools.

Background and Problem: The lack of auditor independence is discussed being oneof the reasons to scandals such as Enron and HQ. A pricing strategy that has beendebated impairing auditor independence is low balling. To win a new client in atender process, audit firms supposedly offer an audit fee below cost and then increasethe fee the following years to recover the initial loss. The auditors? future financialinterest in the company due to the initial loss is by some believed to impair auditorindependence, which makes low balling in Sweden a relevant phenomenon to study.Aim of study: This thesis aims to explain if low balling exists on the Swedish auditmarket and if the size of companies affects the results of low balling.Methodology: To achieve the purpose of this thesis, a statistical study wasconducted.

As the way of communicating and accessing information has changed radically over thepast decade so has the way the public libraries operate to reach the citizens. In thesetimes the demands of what a public library should be and offer the visitors havechanged. One should have the option to access the digital public library at any givenhour of the day, from anywhere in the world and at least have the same possibilities ofinformation as the visitors at the non-digital, "real" library.In this Master's thesis we will analyze and discuss the condition of the Swedish digitalpublic library of today, 2006, and the forward thinking work with the issues ofdevelopment in this matter. In order to do this we set out to examine the attitudetowards the public digital library among the staff at a small number of Swedish publiclibraries and their supporting institution, the county library. Moreover, the attitudesdefined have been compared to the actual status of the services and medias at the publiclibrary websites.In conclusion, we have detected a certain standardization of what the digital publiclibrary consists of today.

This paper intends to show how micro- and small businesses in the tourism and experience industry makes use of social media as a marketing tool. The study also shows the possibilities for businesses to market themselves to customers through social media. Small businesses usually don?t have the same conditions or the same marketing resources that larger companies have. For small businesses that lack marketing resources, social media is a great addition to marketing since the technology around social media is relatively simple.

I den här uppsatsen har vi undersökt hur Dagens Nyheter Insidan och Svenska Dagbladets Idag har skrivit om depression och om vi kan se någon skillnad i rapporteringen på dessa sidor under åren 2002, 2007 och 2012. 110 artiklar har analyserats och de frågeställningar vi arbetet med är: I vilka sammanhang nämns depression, i vilken utsträckning nämns depression i Insidan och Idag och vilka medel använder sig Insidan och Idag av för att gestalta depression.För att besvara dessa frågor gjorde vi en kvantitativ analys där vi samlade in alla artiklar om depression från Insidan och Idag åren 2002, 2007 och 2012 och kodade dessa. Vi mätte hur många artiklar om depression som har publicerats, vem som var huvudperson i texterna samt vilken behandlingsmetod som förespråkades. En massmedieretorisk textanalys på tolv stycken artiklar gjordes också, med frågor som vi ansett vara relevanta för att tolka SvD/ Idag och DN/Insidan gestaltning valts ut. I denna analys undersökte vi hur SvD/Idag och DN/Insidan skildrat samtalet om depression under de valda åren.

Under Gulfkriget växte en diktatur fram i Irak som världen lärde känna som Baathregimen. Denna styrdes av Saddam Hussein och hans inre cirkel, som behöll sitt maktmonopol genom upprepade våldshandlingar och hård kontroll över medborgarna. De demokratiska rättigheter som vi i västvärldens demokratier tagit som självklarheter var här inte så självklara. USA tog på sig rollen att avlägsna Saddam Husseins regim och bidra till att en demokratisk regering inrättades. Vid krigsslutet den 1 maj 2003 hade regimen fallit och Irak låg i händerna på ockupationsmakten.

Today there is an increasing market for businesses concerning horses, and since we are already running such establishments we sort of speak already have a finger in the pie. Due tothe increasing competition and demands, new and more practical constructions have become a necessity. In doing this project I wanted to make a comparison between having a stable integrated with a manege and having both constructions kept separate. I wanted to compare different layout and make an estimate of costs to see which solution would be less expensive and better with regard to working environment. I will further also deal with different ventilation-systems andlight transmissions.

Syftet med uppsatsen var att undersöka socialsekreterares förklaringsmodeller för hedersrelaterat våld i förhållande till annat våld i nära relation och eventuella skillnader eller likheter mellan dessa. Syftet var även att undersöka vilka effekter deras förklaringsmodeller får för deras klienter. Frågeställningarna vi besvarar i uppsatsen är vilka föreställningar socialsekreterarna har om hedersrelaterat våld i förhållande till annat våld i nära relation, hur deras föreställningar om offer och förövare inom hedersrelaterat respektive annat våld i nära relation ser ut samt om dessa föreställningar påverkar deras arbete med klienter.Vi har utfört enskilda intervjuer med fem socialsekreterare som arbetar i Göteborgs kommun. Genom att använda oss av postkolonial teori, systemteori, makt, essentiellt och socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv på etnicitet och kultur samt tre forskningsteoretiska perspektiv (kulturellt perspektiv, könsperspektiv och intersektionellt perspektiv) på hedersrelaterat våld har vi kommit fram till att socialsekreterarna gör en skillnad på hedersrelaterat våld i förhållande till annat våld i nära relation. Skillnaden ligger främst i att de kopplar hedersrelaterat våld till kultur och systemteoretiska förklaringsmodeller, medan annat våld i nära relation tillskrivs individuella förklaringsmodeller.

Jönköping Small Animal Hospital is today the only clinic in Sweden to offer radiation therapy as a treatment of tumours. The body contains of billions of cells that all have to obey the regulations that are established. If a cell is exposed to a harmful substance, for example a chemical, it can be transformed into a tumourcell. Normally the body has a good defence but the tumourcell can survive and start to divide unrestrained. A tumour is starting to develop.

Studies of networks, fields and of communicative circulations complement each other. This master thesis is a biographical study of an author and journalist, Gustaf Montgomery GM, his network in Sweden of the early 19th century, and a study of his authorship and literary career. The starting-point of the study is GM:s change of field from the conservative to the liberal in 1832. The aim is to give explanations to this change and to describe how the change in turn effected the network. The method used is critical of sources.

The aim of this study was to increase the knowledge about if and how the National Value System?s goal of a life with dignity for the elderly pervades the work in home care organisations. The study was based on a qualitative research method and was conducted through interviews with professional care givers in home care organisations, there were five individual interviews and one pair interview. The background for this study was the National Value System for the eldercare that was introduced in 2011. The theory of New Public Management and the concept of Rationality of Caring were used to analyse the result.

I denna uppsats som avhandlar affärsutveckling i mikro ? och små industriföretag i fragmenterade branscher är vår undersökningsfråga: ?Hur kan en enskild mindre aktör på en fragmenterad marknad inom svensk tillverkningsindustrin, affärsutveckla sina affärer, stärka sin egen position och förbättra sin lönsamhet?? Huvudsyftet med uppsatsen är att ?att skapa förståelse samt generera förslag på hur mikro- och småföretag verksamma inom en fragmenterad bransch kan gå tillväga för att affärsutveckla sig och sin verksamhet?. Det finns även tre delsyften, nämligen att: kartlägga de problem som finns för aktörerna i fragmenterade branscher, identifiera drivkrafter och hinder för affärsutveckling i dessa samt att uppsatsen skall utmynna i förslag till lämpliga affärsstrategier för mikro ? och småföretag verksamma i en fragmenterad bransch. För att kunna svara på undersökningsfrågan och uppfylla syftet har vi intervjuat företagsledare i tre företag i fragmenterade branscher och två företag i tidigare fragmenterade branscher för att se hur branschen ser ut, hur en struktureringsprocess går till, vad företag kan göra för att anpassa sig efter förändringarna med mera.

The purpose of this essay is to examine if the municipality has a real freedom of action to control the use of the land and the shaping of the buildings in a large and prestigious building project.In Karlstad there is now (2006) a large building project in form of a shopping mall. This project is in its final stage of completion and offers me a suitable case to examine. To undertake the purpose of the essay, the following research question is formulated:Do the municipality have a real freedom of action to control the use of the land and the shaping of the buildings in a large and prestigious building project as the Mitt I City project?In an attempt to examine the project and the planning process, three themes are applied. The first theme derives from the hypothesis that the part that initiate the process gets the upper hand as future discussions are taking place in relation to the original ideas.

Background: It is necessary for a company to hold some unique and irreplicable competitive advantage in order to be able to succeed in a market. In a market where public procurement is an important part the competitive advantages will be characterized by the fact that some of the participants on the market are public organizations and that their actions as for procurement fall under the legislation LOU. The characteristics of competitive advantage also depend on and change with continuous changes on a market. Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to study the competitive advantages that are presenton a current market characterized by public procurement and how these are created. The purposes is also to based on the trends on the market today study and predict the nature of the competitive advantage on the market in the future as well as the changes that we think will occur on the relevant market.
