Blandat boende är ett begrepp som betecknar ambitionen om blandade bostadskategorier på kvartersnivå med övergripande syfte att motverka eller minska segregation. Detta ideal omfattar, dels fysiska aspekter i bostadssammansättning som: upplåtelseformer, hustyper och lägenhetsstorlekar, dels sociala aspekter i form av blandad befolkningssammansättning. I en tid där rapporteringen i media kring segregationsproblematik ökar, både internationellt som nationellt, finns belägg för att det skulle vara av intresse att undersöka på vilket sätt blandat boende är ett nutida ideal och strategi som förekommer i svensk översiktsplanering. Undersökningen som genomförts har tagit avstamp från en forskningsöversikt som redogör för synen på blandat boende genom olika planeringshistoriska strömningar, samt slutsatser från tidigare forskning på blandat boende som utvärderat verktyg och strategier för att realisera ambitionen genom olika program och styrmedel. Forskningsöverblicken har inletts med en redogörelse och diskussion kring begreppet blandat boende, samt åskådliggjort de relaterade begrepp som blandat boende kan kopplas till.

The first of the dual purposes of this work has been to describe the research that has been done regarding the root causes of terrorism and second, using a general causal theory and examining the political dimensions of it, to discuss whether or not general causal theories (grand-theories) are helpful for researchers and policy-makers when reacting to social developments in the form of terrorism. The essay is a qualitative literature analysis and I have based my studies on mostly new books treating root causes of terrorism. I have concentrated on discussing international terrorism and how political dimensions may impact the occurence of this form of political violence. The conclusions I have made is that there is no widespread consensus among researchers and scholars as to what really causes terrorism. Neither can the general model examined in chapter 5 be used to predict when and where terrorism will occur next.

This work reveals the results of BAL performed on horses included in a larger study that assessed the relationship of amount and type of inhaled particles in equine stable air on indices of respiratory inflammation in horses and people. During this study an unanticipated and marked elevation in lung eosinophils was detected in a number of the horses. The possible significance and cause of this pulmonary eosinophilia was investigated further, and is the main focus of the work presented.

Att arbeta med utsatta människor i en statlig verksamhet som tjänsteman kan för de flesta människor verka ofarligt ? men hur är det egentligen? Tidigare forskning har visat att det finns ett stort mörkertal när det kommer till klientrelaterat hot och våld och att incidenterna inte tas tillräckligt seriöst. Syftet med denna uppsats är att få en större förståelse för vad de ökade hoten får för konsekvenser för personalen på Migrationsverket. Vi vill belysa och synliggöra spänningsfältet i klientrelationen som leder till att hot och våld mot handläggare ökar. Det teoretiska ramverk som används i uppsatsen är gräsrotsbyråkrati, makt och klientrelationer.

This thesis tries trough qualitative analyzes to illuminate advertising and its didactic aspects, how menstruation and menstruating women are portrayed over time. The method underlying the survey is didactic, diachronic comparative and hermeneutic. There will also be a feminist point of view on the material. The issue is about how the advertisement presents sanitary products and menstruation and how a menstruating woman is portrayed.The conclusion is that the image of a menstruating woman changes slightly while consolidating the ethos that menstruation should not be visible. At Volvo Construction Equipment outside Eskilstuna a wide range of heavy equipment machines are developed that are used by a variety of industries worldwide. For the handling and maintenance of these machines a deep knowledge is often required. Volvo CE and their dealer Swecon offer courses for both drivers and technicians that last for 1-2 weeks. Out on the workplaces however, the knowledge from these courses need to be supplemented with information from the machine?s operator and repair manuals.

Abstract This Concept Analysis according to Walker & Avant (1995) studies the concept of uncertainty in the nursing context. It consists of four parts where uncertainty in general have been encircled in a semantic analysis (part one) and a qualitative content analysis consisting of an questionnaire, distributed to the staff members at one nursing and medicine institution, with an open question about the meaning of uncertainty (part two). The third part is a literature study of the nursing context to find out how uncertainty is described (part three). Part four is the actual concept analysis based on the three first parts. Uncertainty in the nursing context is an individual conscious experience witch is changeable and impressionable. It is chained together with its antecendents and consequences.

This thesis aims to develop a control system for measuring electromagnetic compability (EMC). This has meant that a controller designed around an ATmega8 microcontroller has been manufactured and programmed. It has also meant the development of a comprehensive control software in the program MATLAB. This study examines the possibilities of interpreting the moral values and ethics presented in the current curriculums in a way that makes them inclusive and constructive. The study also reveals how the liberal democratic ideal, presented in the curriculums as a hyper-ideology, is not at all easy to define or live up to in the pluralistic school of today.By close-reading and criticizing the curriculum for the Swedish senior high school (Gy11)and by looking at it from two different points of views, as rules or norms and as a process, Ishow how the curriculum can be interpreted as a basis or starting point for a communicationabout values. This examine illustrates the section heads' and caregiving staffs' perceptions of the influence of New Public Management (NPM) in public retirement homes in Malmö. A central theme is to investigate if the main features of New Public Management are noticeable and if that's the case, are the consequences an advantage or disadvantage? The main features of New Public Management in this examine are: decentralization, competition, internal market, cost- conscious, management by objectives with a focus on results and costumer focus. To reach answers to the questions above, a quantitative and a qualitative approach has been chosen. The study is based on 41 questionnaires with enrolled nurses/nurse's assistants and four semi-structured interviews with section heads of retirement homes. Four different retirement homes have been participated in this study.

SammanfattningSyftet i föreliggande studie är att belysa HBTQ-individers upplevelser och bemötande inom motionsanläggningar och på vilket sätt detta får betydelse för upprätthållandet av fysisk hälsa och välmående.Hur upplever HBTQ-individer motionsanläggningars normer och hur påverkar heteronormativiteten om hur de uppfattas inom fysisk aktivitet och idrott?Vad influerar HBTQ-individers egna fysiska hälsa?Finns det specifika parametrar som påverkar HBTQ-individers användning av motionsanläggningar?MetodFör att kunna granska hur heteronormativiteten präglat motionsidrotten i samhället har queerteorin samt genusteorin dels använts som utgångspunkt för studien som helhet och dels som studiens teoretiska förståelseverktyg i databearbetningarna. För att besvara syftet och frågeställningarna genomfördes en kvalitativ intervjustudie där tio individer som klassificerade sig själva som HBTQ ingick. Varje enskild intervju spelades in och transkriberades. Det är individernas egna upplevelser som varit i fokus för undersökningens analyser och tolkningar och dessa bearbetningar utgör därmed studiens resultat.ResultatResultatet i studien visar att HBTQ-individer påverkas av de oskrivna heteronormativa ideal och normer som finns vid motionsanläggningar runt om i Stockholmsområdet.

The thesis deals with consumers behaviour in the use of online services and the cultures effect on it. It is a study of Swedes and Danes use of online job data bases. The thesis is based on a quantitative study. A questionnaire were used sent out to 80 Swedes and 80 Danes. The theory concerns areas of online consumer behaviour, decision making and services theory as well as theories within culture in relation to services and behaviour.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka lärares medvetenhet om den förändrade skollagen vad avser disciplinära och andra åtgärder och i vilken omfattning de upplever att den påverkar skolmiljön. För att kunna uppnå syftet med studien har tre frågor formulerats: för det första i vilken grad är lärare medvetna om vilka åtgärder som enligt lagen finns att tillgå och för det andra, i vilken omfattning tillämpar lärare de befogenheter de fått genom den nya skollagen? Avslutningsvis ställs frågan om lärare upplever att den nya lagen bidragit till några förändringar i deras handlingsutrymme?  Undersökningen som ligger till grund för uppsatsens resultat baserades på enkäter som besvarades av trettiosex lärare vilka undervisar i grundskolans senare år (7-9). Resultatet av undersökningen visar att lärare har begränsade kunskaper om skollagen vad avser lärarens mandat att vidta disciplinära åtgärder mot elever. Det framkommer också att lärare använder sig av disciplinära åtgärder för att stävja störningar i klassrumsmiljön och att en majoritet inte upplever att förändringen av skollagen har ökat lärarnas handlingsutrymme i klassrummet samtidigt som andra lärare anser att studiemiljön påverkats positivt till följd av lagens införande.

The background of this paper is the dual role that the social worker can have, of beeing both supportive and controlling in the meeting with clients. It is also about the power the social worker can have, how they handle the power in their profession and how they remain to it in the relationship with the client. The study is qualitative and built on interviews with eight social workers that work in different areas in the social services. We have chosen to see this dual role as if the social workers have to, in their daily work, handle the roles as one authority role and one supportive role towards the client.The purpose of this study is to understand how the dual role as the social worker has in the profession, as a helper and a authority, is expressed in the work and relationship with the client. We have turned this purpose into two questions: How do social workers with authority remain to the dual roles of the profession? How do the social workers describe and understand power?We don´t want to generalize in this study, we want to give an example of the social workers own experiences about the dual role.
