The objective of this work was to compare the environmentally gentle soil scarification technique Huminmix (with possibilities to do track-grinding/HMMspår, long-scraping/HMMlångfläck and mounding/HMMhög) with conventional disc trencher, concerning seedling establishment and growth of direct seeded and planted Scots pine seedlings. Inventories were made during June and July 2005, in 34 seeded and 6 planted stands from 2000 ? 2004 (1- 5 years old) of lichen- and myrtillus/vaccinum-type in Holmen Skog AB´s district Norsjö in Västerbotten. The Huminmix-technique had been used for HMMspår in the seeded stands and for HMMhög in the planted stands (HMMlångfläck has been used from the year 2006 for direct seeding). The studied stands had been seeded with the same amount of seeds according to stand data.

The past years in Sweden has been infected by a discussion about immigration and immigrants, both spoken in politics and media. The aim of this essay is to study the attitude about immigrants in the third period of immigration in Sweden found in the local press. And also what image the press gave of immigrants. The study looks at Smålandsposten, which is a large local press in the Växjö area. During the period for this study was the attitude in the local press very negative. The governing set of regulations for structural engineering in Sweden used to be Boverket, BKR. However in the beginning of the 21st century a changeover to new regulations, the Eurocodes, started.The transition was completed in year 2011 when the Eurocodes became the mandatory design work policy for all countries within the European Union. The Eurocodes were implemented to simplify and remove potential barriers to trade that may exist when countries have different design rules.  Since the changeover it has been important for all construction companies to update their knowledge base and their design software.When comparing the two calculation processes they seem similar, but there are a couple of differences worth noting.  With the new regulations, engineers will find that the process when designing joints in timber structures has changed.  What used to be a fairly easy and straight forward calculation procedure has now become tedious and time consuming.The objective of this degree project is to present a product, a dimensioning tool that will help structural engineers when computing lateral load carrying joints in timber structures.The degree project is made up of two parts where the first part is the written report describing the background and theory behind load carrying computations. The second part of the project is the actual dimensioning tool which includes several worksheets in Microsoft Excel. Den här studiens syfte är att studera hur föräldraideal skapas i böcker riktade till föräldrar med barn i åldern 3-12 år. Med huvudfrågeställningen hur konstrueras idealt föräldraskap i litteratur riktad till småbarnsföräldrar? och frågeställningen Vilka råd om föräldrars förhållningssätt till barnet konstrueras i litteraturen? har jag med hjälp av Foucauldiansk diskursanalys och Foucaults begrepp diskurs, makt/kunskap och subjektspositioner analyserat fem böcker om föräldraskap som ligger på toppen av försäljningsstatistiken just nu. Resultatet är att en ideal förälder strävar efter att ge barnet självkänsla och uppnå en jämställd relation. Att ta barnet på allvar och lyssna på det konstrueras även det som idealt.

This report describes the implementation of expense reporting in a mobile web application. Two different types of expenses could be reported: remuneration and time deviations. In addition to the creation of new expenses, existing expenses should be able to be edited or deleted. The implementation would be designed in such a way that it prevents the user from making data entry errors in an intuitive way.  The bachelor?s thesis was performed for Flex Datasystem AB in their mobile web application, Flex WebApp. Due to delimitations made during the project only functionality for the expense-type remuneration was implemented..

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to examine the image of the man in Swedish crime fiction. Gender theory based uponRobert W. Connell theoretical framework which discusses masculinities in plural is used. The method used is idea analysis and my supply for analyse is constructed on thebasis of Connell?s four Ideal Types regarding masculinity.The material in the investigation comprises of five novels published in Sweden 2007.The investigation reveals the complexity in forming masculinities; traditional male values remain mostly intact, but at the same time men must deal with emotions andrelations with women in a world where the male norm often is questioned.

Vi vill ta reda på hur de uppfattar Kissies.se och personen som driver bloggen.Teori: Dramaturgiska perspektivteorin, socialisationsteorin, hermeneutiken.Metod: Kvalitativa fokusgruppsintervjuer och kvantitativa enkäter.Huvudresultat: Det som framgick genom undersökningarna när det gäller syftet är att Kissies.se ofta fungerar som en inspirationskälla när det gäller vissa köpval på en del av deltagarna. De berättade själva att de blir påverkade i den mån att om Kissie tipsar om olika kläder, smink, musiklåtar, maträtter kan de ta efter. Därför kom vi fram till att bloggen även fungerar som en annonssida när det gäller materiella saker. Men enligt deltagarna tar man inte åt sig av de skönhetsingrepp och ideal Kissie skriver om.

Tidigare var det vanligare att dö av svält, i dag dör fler människor av övernäring. Bristande kostvanor och ett stillasittande leverne kan leda till övervikt, och även till en rad andra sjukdomar som hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar samt diabetes. Debatten kring kostvanor, livsmedel och övervikt handlar bland annat om huruvida nyttiga livsmedel i butikerna bör ha en särskild märkning för att underlätta för konsumenter, eller om dessa alternativ bör ha ett lägre pris. Nyckelhålsmärkning infördes i Sverige 1989, och fungerar ännu som den mest använda märkningen på livsmedel. Syftet med denna uppsats är således att studera statens roll i relationen livsmedel och övervikt.

Det som skapas idag är ett resultat av vad som tidigare skett. I den här undersökningen problematiserar och resonerar jag kring samtidens kriterier till historiska traditioner inom möbeltapetseraryrket. Primärt rör sig arbetet kring textila ytor och i detta fall möbelklädslar. Inledningsvis ges en kort bakgrund om inspiration och metod. Vidare följer undersökningens huvuddel där bakgrunden, inspirationen och metoden flätas samman med hjälp av frågeställningen: Hur kan man arbeta med ytan inom möbeltapetsering på fler sätt än vad man tidigare gjort och vidareutveckla arbetet med klädsel? Kan man ta tapetserarstilens tankar om dekoration/ytförändring till dagens ideal och i så fall hur?Avslutningsvis redovisas resultatet i undersökningen där metoden samt teknikproblematiken presenteras i form av ett antal slutprodukter.

Rural development in Southeast Sweden- three different views and their consequences for the agrarian landscapeThis paper deals with the future for the rural areas of the southeast province of Östergötland, Sweden. The aim is to unveil, analyse and compare different views on rural development and their consequences for the agrarian landscape. Three views are considered, namely that of the different levels of Governments and their departments, that of the farmers and landowners and, finaly, that of the inhabitants of the rural areas.Differences in the views upon rural development is reflected in differences in the ways of thinking of landscapes. Is the open, and actively cultivated, landscape the ideal for all? Who is to decide what needs or ought to be done to achieve certain desired values and/or goals ? and who pays for it? The one thing that is, and should be, clear from the beginning is that all development, whether positive or negative in an area, bears consequences for the landscape.

The company GEMS PET Systems produces cyclotrons which is a type of particle accelerator. The cyclotrons create log files that are analyzed by the company?s employees for different purposes like troubleshooting or installation. The purpose of the project is to with a usage-centered design method create a paper prototype of a tool that will help the employees to analyze the log files in a more efficient way than earlier.The result shows how the usage-centered design method was used to create the paper prototype and how the user interface was created according to human-computer interaction (HCI)..

The Swedish public inquiries and most of the political science advocate reforms in the spirit of participatory democracy to strengthen the democracy. Although it is striking how limited and narrow the scientific documentation is in analysing the effects of participatory democratic reforms. Still, many of the local governments in Sweden are reshaping their organisations according to the participatory democracy model. Is it a trend and a symbolic action or a veritable action of good-will of the politicians?The paper argues that the idea of participatory democracy has become popular and widely spread.

Syftet med min uppsats var att ta reda på hur sex unga kvinnor såg på träning och femininitet. För att komma fram till mitt resultat har jag använt mig av intervjuer med sex unga kvinnor i åldrarna 18 till 20 år, samt litteraturstudier. Min frågeställning var hur dessa unga kvinnor såg på kroppen och träning, men även hur de såg på träning och femininitet. I min analys av min empiri har jag använt mig av queerteori. Jag kom fram till att det var vanligt och även viktigt i många fall att vara kvinnlig på gymmet, för att hävda sin kvinnliga könsidentitet.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate how to reduce the high, and every decade raising, pre-clearance cost. The pre-clearance is today carried out with a brush saw and paid per labour hour. All small trees not suitable for pulpwood are removed to simplify the later work of the harvester. The study compares the economic results from thinning of four parcels each treated differently regarding harsh or light pre-clearance and extraction of only pulpwood, or both pulpwood and fuel wood. In this type of spruce stand the study indicates that a lighter pre-clearance, followed up with both pulpwood and a fuel wood extraction, has a much better economy than the traditional method of hard pre-clearance and only pulpwood extraction..
