The aim of this master?s thesis is to examine how libraries can organize their collections in terms of library shelving and displays and to what extent these activities stem from a desire to create a user-friendly library. The thesis is based upon a case study of Arkenbiblioteket in Sweden and the material consists of a literature study and qualitative, semi-structured interviews with three librarians at Arkenbiblioteket. The theoretical framework consists of theories on information-seeking behavior, classification and displays. These theories form the basis of the analysis of the empirical material.The main reason for the changes in shelf arrangement at Arkenbiblioteket was a desire among the library staff to create a user-friendly library.

Många medlemsstater inom EU tillämpar idag sätesprincipen. Denna princip innebär att bolag lyder under den bolagsrättsliga lagstiftning som gäller där bolaget har sitt säte (styrelse, huvudkontor, huvudsaklig verksamhet etc.) Vissa medlemsstater tillämpar dock registreringsprincipen vilken innebär att ett bolag lyder under den bolagsrättsliga lagstiftning som gäller i den medlemsstat där det är registrerat oavsett var bolaget bedriver sin verksamhet. Motsättningarna mellan dessa principer har tidigare inneburit att bolags etableringsfrihet varit begränsad. Denna fråga har de senaste åren aktualiserats i ett antal förhandsavgöranden från EG-domstolen bl a Segers, Daily Mail, Centros, Überseering och INSPIRE Art. Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera vad EG-domstolens rättspraxis har för konsekvenser för bolags etableringsfrihet inom EU.

Dessutom ställer dagens samhälle krav på att informationenska levereras enligt standard. Standardiseringsorgan har tagit fram standarder för geografiskinformation som svar på behovet att återanvända och samutnyttja geografiska data.Vårt examensarbete är genomfört på Banverket Verksamhetsstöds IT-avdelning och var inriktatpå att kartlägga standarder för geografisk information och utveckla en webbtjänst för BIS för attöka tillgängligheten till informationen.Rapportens kunskapsbidrag är en analys av standarder för geografisk information som är relevantaför järnvägsnätet.

Fiskars morfologi, det vill säga dess utseende och form, kan variera beroende på hur de utvecklas och fortplantar sig. Morfometriska analyser används för olika typer av studier då det ger information om grupper av individer med samma reproduktions-takt, tillväxt och överlevnad samt fenotypiska grupper. Skrubbskädda, Platichthys flesus, delas in i två olika lektyper; utsjölekande och kustlekande, där de utsjöle-kande lägger pelagiska ägg och de kustlekande lägger demersala ägg. Morfomet-riska analyser kan vara en bra metod att skilja dessa lektyper åt i förvaltningen. I denna studie fotograferades skrubbskäddor och morfometriska analyser utfördes i samarbete med BONUS-INSPIRE för att avgöra om dessa två lektyper skiljer sig åt i morfologi.

Interactive media is constantly increasing in our surroundings and with the innovation of touch-screens, two-way communication with screens has become part of our daily life. Still, this well known way of process information is not often seen in the in-store environment of grocery retailing. Here, interactive media is an unestablished field where empirical studies are invisible within the academic world. The lack of knowledge in which effect interactive digital signage has is one of the barriers of investing in this marketing solution in-store. The main purpose of this study is to examine and describe the effects of interactive digital signage at shelf within grocery retailing.

I have studied the suburban municipality of Botkyrka, south of Stockholm, from a rural perspective. Through that I`ve compared how countryside comes into being with the planning and building of suburbs. I have looked for a definition of Countryside, and found that it is often explained or defined in negative terms, as what it is not. In that it says nothing about what it really is, or about the qualitiies it has to it. Botkyrka is a suburb, but it does in large parts consist of countryside. Apart from defining countryside and rural I´ve been searching for a definition of suburbia, of it´s structure and the mental picture we have of it as a cultural phenomena. In order to understand the role that suburbs have in planning I describe their history from Italian renaissance villas to sprawl. By opposing urban and rural, modern urban planning and how rural areas are created, I´ve come to a definition of rural planning and the making of countryside. To make countryside, planning and building should come from individual needs and desires. A relationship to the surroundings based on continous interaction between the human beeing and it´s environment, a constant process of shaping and reshaping. To put my thoughts to the ground I have collected examples of projects and ideas, that fits into my view of what rural planning and making countryside is all about. They are put in different categories according to the possibilities of influence and to what degree it is put into private hands. The first category is ?allemansrätten?, every mans right. That is the rigt to use private land as long as you don´t disturb or destroy.

There are countless methods for companies to use as marketing tools and one method that has become more and more popular is sponsoring. Reasons for companies to use sponsoring as a marketing tool is to be exposed and associated in connection with the sponsored item. Companies also use sponsorship to create relationships with the company's target audience. The use of Internet and Internet marketing has also increased during the last years and this paper examines the combination of these two areas, sponsorship and Internet marketing. A survey that examines the websites owned by companies who also are sponsors, answers the following problem:How do companies communicate their sponsorship on their own homepages?The purpose of this study is to describe how companies use their homepage to communicate their sponsorship.

This paper constitutes graduate work at the landscape architecture program at the Department of Urban and Rural Development at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala. The main purpose of this paper is to create a project from an idea to reality. The place for the project is the environment of Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi in the north of Sweden. Icehotel is a unique hotel concept and each winter a hotel, a church and a bar is built at the area of only ice and snow, and each spring it all melts down and returns to the Torne river. During the project a plan for the environment, in ice and snow, will be made and then a part of it will be built in January 2010. The purpose is to improve the outdoor environment with landscape architecture to enhance the experience of Icehotel and create an exciting entrance to the area.

Although Social Democratic Memoirs comprise an extensive material, these texts have not attracted any systematic analysis as a distinct and yet varied form of textual genre. The focus in this MA-paper is the Swedish Social Democratic Memoir as a rhetoric genre. The main primary material is memoirs of the pioneer August Palm (1849?1922), the father of the nation Tage Erlander (1901?1985) and the political leader Göran Persson (1949?), published 1905, 1972?82 and 2007, respectively.The general aim is to find out what is the driving power of the memoirs and, more specifically, to shed light on the images of the party history and the history of the welfare state. The method is a comparative analysis of these texts.

New dwellings and commercial buildings in coastal regions has for some time now been a focal point. Old industrial harbours are regenerated into modern living areas with a recreational purpose. In Sweden the marina has not taken part in this development, thus remained in the monotony and large-scale structures of modernism. This graduation thesis looks upon the marina from a landscape architects point of view, where the marina foremost is a social venue. By revealing and discussing the development of the marina, its design and environmental consequence theories of the marinas future is presented. These theories are later tested upon the costal village of Rydebäck, south of Helsingborg. The thesis is structured in three parts: marina knowledge, proposal and resources. In the first part the historical development of the marina from prehistory time to now is discussed.

Student recruitment? - Three teachers? thoughts concerning children's first experiences in municipal arts and music schools. The aim of this thesis is to explore three teacher' experiences of recruitment of students to arts and music schools. The thesis includes thoughts about how teachers can INSPIRE students and why the orchestral string bass is an infrequent choice of instrument to study. I have examined the issues through a qualitative study where I have interviewed three licensed string bass teachers of different ages and backgrounds.

Syfte: Syftet är att med inspiration av diskursanalys granska grundsärskolors systematiska kvali¬tets-arbete i sin helhet. Studiens preciserade frågeställningar är: Hur skrivs kunskap, be¬dömning och betyg fram? och Vilka diskurser framträder i granskningen av de sjutton syste¬matiska kva-litetsarbetena?Teori och metod: Den teoretiska ansats som använts i studien är diskursanalys. Metoden har i huvudsak INSPIRE-rats av Laclau och Mouffes diskursteori samt Foucaults diskursanalys. Diskurser gör det möj-ligt att tala om och förstå världen som vi lever i.

A budget consists of figures showing how much a particular activity has access to during a given year. With a balanced scorecard, these figures and guidelines can be converted in to more easily understandable non-financial instructions for the employees. One of the most significant differences between the budget and the scorecard is that the budget focuses on short-term results while the scorecard focuses on long-term visions and goals. With a long-term thinking the leaders can  set more long-term goals and also make more well-planned investments which increases the possibility for the organization to evolve and become better in the long term.
