SAMMANFATTNINGMänniskans förbrukning av fossila bränslen har ökat drastiskt de två senaste seklerna. Detta har lett till en ökning av växthusgasutsläpp vilket i sin tur inneburit en höjning av jordens lufttemperatur, den så kallade växthuseffekten. Mellan 1970 och 2004 ökade de globalaväxthusgasutsläppen med cirka 70 %. (Naturvårdsverket 2008a). Ungefär 25 % av Sveriges klimatpåverkande utsläpp uppskattas komma ifrån matkedjan.

Generellt gäller att den undersökta branschen har blivit ganska så hårt påverkad av finanskrisen och lågkonjunkturen. De flesta åkerier har tvingats säga upp personal och även sänkningar av antal arbetstimmar förekommer. Omplaceringar är inte så vanliga inom populationen och det lutar åt att de mindre åkerier klarat sig lindrigare undan än vad de större har gjort. De åkerier som har varit i branschen en längre tid verkar också vara mindre känsliga för marknadsförändringar. Framtidsbilden ur åkarnas ögon ser mestadels stabil eller positiv ut medan investeringsviljan i branschen har avtagit då majoriteten nu är mer försiktiga än vad de varit tidigare..

Detta arbete tar sin utgångspunkt i hur det genom den fysiska planeringen kan vara möjligt att främja fysisk aktivitet. Idag har många en passiv och stillasittande livsstil och detta har direkta negativa effekter på våra kroppar och vår hälsa. Människor är i grunden skapade för att utföra sysslor som kräver fysisk aktivitet och när vi i dagens samhälle inte kan tillgodose oss detta behov på ett naturligt sätt i vardagen börjar vi på olika sätt må dåligt, både fysiskt och psykiskt. Utformningen av miljöerna vi rör oss i dagligen är en viktig faktor gällande vilken mängd fysisk aktivitet vi uppnår. Hur det påverkar oss och vilka möjligheter och begränsningar den fysiska planeringen har gällande att främja fysisk aktivitet undersökas i detta arbete.

Hemp is an annual energy crop that fits very well in Swedish crop rotations. It is an interesting crop with many benefits, for example its ability to establish a large quantity of biomass in one year. Hemp is easy to grow and out-competes unwanted weeds through its aggressive growth pattern without the need for pesticides. Interest in growing hemp and other energy crops is currently decreasing, apparently because of high grain prices. These high prices give a higher net profit that we believe could partly cover the cost of hemp cultivation, while the hemp in turn would improve the crop rotation and thus repay its debts in the form of increased yields of other crops. The great disadvantage of hemp is the lack of knowledge about spring harvest of the crop.

Hudiksvall Municipality will build a new preschool. The goal is that the pre-school should reflect the municipality's environmental goals and meet building regulations. The wall structures that are compared in the report is an insulated wooden frame and a frame of lightweight concrete blocks from H + HWall structures are compared within the areas of U-values, air tightness, thermal storage capacity, fire ratings, moisture, durability, emissions and environment. In these categories the two wall structures will be rated in a scale from 1 to 5 and then the categories are weighted against each other. The weighting is based on Hudiksvall Municipality's assessment of the categories importanse for their final selection.The results of the comparison show that the concrete structure is recommended for the construction of pre-school with 27.55 points against the wooden structures 23.70 points.

The report is a master thesis about energy efficient measures for an underground facility Hemsö fortress.Several proposals are evaluated economically.Statistics of the electricity used and measurements of several heat pumps are analyzed to find energysavings potentials.The results indicate that several units of a dehumidification system are responsible for over 70 % of theyearly electricity cost. The air that is being dehumidified by these units can otherwise cause damage ofculturally important interior designs.The proposal with highest profit suggests an alternative method for dehumidification. The cooler in theair handling units in Hemsö fortress have capacity to dehumidify the air. However complementary fansneed to be installed to circulate humid air towards the air handling units. The solution can be implementedin three different locations within the facility.

The effects of prey size on prey choice in different cohorts of juvenile turbot (Psetta maxima)were studied in three nursery areas at Gotland. Prey length measurements showed that gobies(Gobiidae) increased in average length during the season, while mysids (Mysidae) did not.Experiments on predation capacity of different size classes of turbot on different size classesof prey showed that juvenile turbot easily can eat gobies that are up to two thirds of their ownbody length, while the body size of turbot does not have any effect on the predation capacityon mysids. Stomach content of 217 turbots, less or equal 35 mm, was analysed to see if therewas any change in diet during the season, but there was no significant change in diet. Theoverall conclusion was that early settlers most likely have an advantage due to greater accessof alternative prey..

Since the late 50th century, the automobile has been normative in the Swedish society (Lundin 2008). This has led to an urban environment deeply characterized by the motor vehicle and its necessities, while other means of transportation, such as train and bicycle, have been ignored and put aside. However, over the past decades, a new trend has been seen in urban planning as a consequence of the increasing knowledge of the negative qualities caused by the car. As a result, the bicycle is seen as a conceivable transport mode.This thesis examines cycling on four issues:- Why is there a need of more cyclists? - How can the total number of cyclists as well as the number of satisfied cyclists increase? - Which factors affect the choice of transport mode? - Which factors affect the choice of route?The first two questions are discussed from a literature study that was conducted at the beginning of the thesis.

En hållbar samhällsutveckling beror på tre faktorer; naturen, människan och samhället. I dagens läge vill människan minimera de påfrestningarna som miljön och omgivningen utsätts för. Det är därför viktigt att se över hur resurserna utnyttjas. Ett bra exempel på detta är att befintliga trafikleder inom tätbebyggda städer byggs över, sådana projekt kallas överdäckningar. På detta sätt skapas både byggbar yta och negativa effekter av trafikleder minskas inom tätbebyggda områden.

The purpose of this thesis is to analyse and propose improvements to the cost accounting system in use at an airline operating on the Swedish market. The choice of study object is based on the airline?s desire to have its cost accounting system evaluated. During the analysis we have identified a number of points where the current cost accounting system does not correspond to its intended purpose. These points include significant groups of costs not being considered in the current system, potential over capacity is not visible and logic connections between distribution keys and the use of resources are sometimes lacking.

Quadrotor UAVs are self-stabilizing, autonomous flying machines that has recently become more popular than ever. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles have their roots in the military, where they were developed for use in reconnaissance and combat. During the last few years, advances in the fields of electronic sensors, electric motors and microcontrollers have enabled smaller designs and autonomic flight control even for private use. The quadrotor, which is the particular kind of UAV we are looking closer at in this paper, has 4 rotors in an X-like formation. This configuration has many advantages such as good lift capacity, non-complex mechanical structure and serviceability.In this project we aquired a current overview of the domain and determine whether it is possible to construct a quadrotor UAV designed for use in a WISENET sensor network on a low budget and short time schedule.Based on existing community project AeroQuad, a quadrotor is constructed with a budget of about 500 euro.

Examensarbetets målsättning var att studera de materialrörelser som uppkommer i direkt anslutning till stranden genom påverkan av fartygsvågor. Intressant var just att studera sådant material som Daleke et al (1989) finner en överensstämmelse med ? mellan sina iakttagelser och en felaktig version av Hjulströmskurvan ? men även annat material skulle studeras. Arbetet utfördes i Furusundsleden och i farleden vid Lidingö där trafiken av Finlandsfärjor är tät.I farleder som till vattenvolym är begränsade uppstår kraftiga vattenrörelser, sugeffekter förutom de vanliga svallvågor som bryter mot stranden. Dessa båda typer av vattenrörelser påverkar materialet längs stränderna..

Syftet med denna uppsats var att studera djurvälfärden på inkommande slakttransporter vidett slakteri i Östergötland samt att undersöka om lagstadgade krav efterföljs på dessa. Datasamlades in genom att tillsammans med Länsstyrelsen i Östergötlands län utföradjurskyddskontroller vid avlastningen på slaktanläggningen under två dagar i april 2010.Som bedömningsunderlag hade en checklista med fokus på djuren, transportmedlet ochdokumentationen utformats.Att bedöma välfärd är subjektivt, därför utgjordes flertalet av checklistans kontrollpunkterav lagstadgade krav. Dessa krav är satta till miniminivå och allt annat under deras gräns ärinte ett acceptabelt djurskydd eller djurvälfärd. För att få en bredare bild lades vissaparametrar till efter vad tidigare studier och litteratur påvisar som välfärdsproblem vidtransporter av nötkreatur. För att få med en annan synvinkel telefonintervjuades ävendjurtransportörerna kring frågor rörande djurvälfärd och svårigheter i yrket.Resultatet visade på vissa brister av varierande allvarlighetsgrad och inverkan pådjurvälfärden.

The Swedish Transport Administration manage nearly 4,000 railway bridges in different condition and age around the country. These bridges is in constant need of maintenance and requires continuous inspections. This thesis is designed as a damage investigation on a single-track railway bridge south of Solvarbo in Säter municipality. The railway bridge is in operation and serves over 10,000 trains a year, everything from speed trains to freight trains. The bridge is built as a beam bridge, simply supported over a road.

Building with volume element is relatively new and has started to increase more and more.
