Bokförvaringsplats eller serviceinrättning? Direkt eller indirekt service på Göteborgs stadsbibliotek 1891-1960
This paper describes the development of direct and indirect service at the former Gothenburg city library. This was during this period of time not the public library of the town, but a scientific library mostly serving the college, although also open to the public. Furthermore the services offered in Gothenburg are compared with those of the two old Swedish university libraries in Uppsala and Lund. The investigated direct serviceforms are "making material available", "guidance", and "localities". The indirect service areas are "the catalogue" and "the personnel and their competence".The conclusion is that the differences weren't that big and that Gothenburg city library was a modern library providing about the same services as you could find in Uppsala and Lund.
Ungdomstjänst : I ungdomens eller samhällets tjänst?
The purpose with this essay has been to describe and understand why youth community service became a penalty in Sweden. The political discourse in which youth community service was established has been analyzed with Laclau & Mouffe´s discourse theory. A social constructivist onset and a discourse analysis were the methodological tools of the essay. The result is two folded. Youth community service was created to strengthen the constitutional state, combined with high beliefs of the social services competence.
IT-säkerhet i ideella organisationer : Attityder hos organisationernas medarbetare
Det finns i nuläget väldigt lite forskning inom IT-säkerhet i ideella organisationer, trots att dessa organisationer är en viktig del av samhället och brister i deras IT-säkerhet kan leda till minskat förtroende från allmänheten. Studien har försökt klargöra attityder till IT-säkerhet hos medarbetarna i de ideella organisationer som har medverkat i undersökningen. Tidigare forskning i vinstdrivande organisationer visar att kunskap, attityder och beteenden hör ihop och påverkar varandra, och dessutom att dessa tre faktorer är mycket viktiga för IT-säkerheten i en organisation. För att förstå hur attityderna ser ut i ideella organisationer var det därför nödvändigt att ta reda på även kunskap och beteende hos medarbetarna. Studien kom fram till att attityderna var goda men att ledningens och medarbetarnas kunskaper om IT-säkerhet, och även deras beteenden, var bristfälliga i flera aspekter.

"Inte andra klassens kristen" : En fallstudie om Queermässan i Stockholm
Within this essay a study is made of an LGBTQ-orientated Christian service in Stockholm called Queer Service. The following questions seek to be answered: What reasons does an individual set for his/hers participation in Queer Service? Which aspects of a queer service highlight the participants as important to them?As a method to answer these questions, the author has observed a number of queer church services in autumn of 2012. Moreover communication within the group of the assembly on the social media page Facebook has been followed and five individuals from the Queer Service congregation have been interviewed. As a background to the study, the European religious climate seen from Grace Davies eyes is depicted. The reader also learns of how the Swedish church has handled questions about homosexuality and bisexuality and what liberation theology is.

SammanfattningSyftet med vår uppsats är att jämföra den traditionella personalavdelningens roll med den moderna Human Resource Management-funktionen. Vi söker en definition på begreppet HRM och hur utvecklingen gått från den traditionella funktionen Human Relations till Human Resource Management. Vi vill se på de likheter och olikheter som kan finnas mellan begreppen och hur de påverkat personalfrågor. Vi utgår från ett anglosaxiskt synsätt men tittar utifrån ett asiatiskt perspektiv, för att se hur kulturella infallsvinklar kan påverka HRM. För att få svar på våra frågor har vi använt oss av både empiriskt och vetenskapligt material för att få så korrekta svar som möjligt.
Mänskliga rättigheter i globaliseringens tidevarv
This thesis compares different justifications of human rights with the philosophy of Axel Hägerström. Hägerström´s philosophy uses a strict logic and discards the notion of the existence of absolute values and moral right and wrong. The justifications that are examined are those of Robert Nozick, Alan Gewirth and the postmodern view. Nozick emanates from arguments of natural law, which is rejected by Hägerström as metaphysics. Gewirths logical justification emanates in part from moral arguments and hence differentiates from Hägerström, but it can be used for constructing a practical application of Hägerström's philosophy and thereby motivate a legislation relating to human rights.

This report describes the initial work intended for updating the car sharing service Roadmate. Roadmate is one of the services received by the car rental company Hertz First Rent a Car. The goal was to present the client with design- and structure proposals for a car sharing service that includes high usability and at the same time remains aesthetically pleasing.The work is based on an initial study with data collection, mapping the target user group and its needs. Subsequent structural and design proposals for Roadmates company carpooling service are based on the facts surrounding the target group's needs. The result are well developed and tested design sketches with accompanying visual identity and sitemaps that can be the basis for the further work on the development of the service..

The aim of this master thesis is to investigate the design of the reference service and its development that Internet has caused in college/university libraries when it comes to the service provided to the user. I want to examine the quality of this development from the view of the librarians, and also investigate their attitude and how they deal with this development.The following questions were asked:? How has Internet changed the reference service at college/university libraries?? How do the librarians look upon the possible change of quality in the reference service when the Internet is involved?? What attitude do the librarians hold toward this development where Internet is used in the reference service and how do they deal with it?The method used was qualitative interviews. A total of six librarians from Blekinge tekniska högskola, Halmstad högskola, Lunds universitet and Växjö universitet have been interviewed.The theories and models used were ?media richness?, a quality framework including ?quality aspects of a service?, and social psychology and its ?reasons for a positive/negative attitude on an organisations change?.The result shows that Internet has brought more sources of information and additional ways to contact the library.

Service recovery i praktiken : En kvalitativ studie av användandet av service recovery-teorier i ett tjänsteföretag
Denna studie har undersökt den praktiska användbarheten av befintliga teoretiska ramverk inom service recovery-området som utgångspunkt för att utvärdera och utveckla recovery-arbetet i tjänsteföretag. En datainsamling på ett större svenskt tjänsteföretag har genomförts med ett fokus baserat på befintliga teorier om service recovery. Det insamlade materialet har sedan bearbetats av nyckelpersoner på företaget och funnits leda till en inte oansenlig mängd insikter och åtgärdsförslag relaterat till organisationens recovery-verksamhet. Detta leder till slutsatsen att de teoretiska ramverk som beskriver service recovery-processen framgångsrikt kan användas för att styra utvärdering och utveckling av en organisations recovery-verksamhet. Information som insamlats med befintliga teorier som lins har visats vara relevant för en organisations insikter om det egna recovery-arbetet samt bidragit till utveckling av recovery-verksamheten..
Styrning i icke-vinstdrivande organisationer : En litteraturöversikt och fallstudie
Organisationer med ändamålet att tillfredställa andra behov än rent finansiella har ett problem i att välja en tillräckligt bred men samtidigt hanterbar uppsättning av mått för att styra verksamheten. Syftet med denna uppsats är att genom en litteratursökning presentera styrmedel och generella styrmodeller för icke-vinstdrivande organisationer. Dessa modeller använder vi därefter i en fallstudie för att slutligen utföra en rekommendation till vår fallorganisation Svensk Pingstmission ? SPM.De modeller som litteratursökningen utmynnar i är Balanserat styrkort ? BSC och instrumentbrädan ? Dashboard. Då modellerna är utvecklade med ett amerikanskt perspektiv i fokus visar vi på några av de skillnader som finns mellan icke-vinstdrivande organisationer i USA och Sverige.
