As the contemporary discourse surrounding urbanism is almost exclusively focusing on aspects of density and traditional urban qualities, it entrenches notions of what constitutes a proper city and countryside. But beyond this urban-rural dichotomy is another highly contemporary landscape. A territory usually mentioned as sprawl, peri-urban, wasteland, edge city, etc. Although its existence is due to mobilization, telecommunications, globalization and other phenomena of modern life, it is a landscape without an own name or place in public awareness.This thesis provides a case study of how to map and intervene in such a landscape, specifically along the border between Malmö and Burlöv municipalities in southern Sweden. Its structure is composed of a sequence of three parts:1 Spatial Conditions:Divided up in the sections Network, Fringe and Void.

Vertical hydropower units has a rotating mass of up to 1000 tons. For the generator and turbine to work well the rotating system is required to be centered in relation to the surrounding structure. This is achieved by means of radial bearings. The dynamic characteristics of these bearings have a strong impact on the overall rotational dynamics of the total system and thus influence the vibrations in the unit. At Vattenfall Research & Development in Älvkarleby ongoing research is taking place on how the bearing parameters should be represented in the rotor dynamic calculations.

Sweden has a great tradition of pattern in both wallpapers and fabric, where colours and shape matters a lot for the customer. I have through my examination project tried to expand the views and find new alternatives and shapes for the obvious pattern traditions. I have therefore worked with what could be on the verge of attractive or repelling. To create a curiosity of what is considered to be commercial. From the prospective of the body organs I have created physical patterns for fabric and wallpapers.

In the post-war era many European countries were recovering from the ravages of the bombings of the second world war destroying whole countries. Sweden being neutral was spared the destruction of war but instead we demolished almost as much housing all by ourselves. A social program was modeled to modernize the country and to drag the swedes out of poverty by building one million apartments in just ten years and demolishing the old, dilapidated working-class neighborhoods. The traumatic events of the demolition of large areas of both the central and the outskirts of most Swedish cities is still very much present in the collective memory of people today and the new modernistic districts are still paying the price of that, more than fifty years later. Today these modernistic districts are in need of repair, and they are often homes to groups alienated from society making their reputation even worse.

This master thesis is made of two parts. The first part concerns the method and results ofdesigning a motion control system for a piece of research-equipment called BIRGIT. Theequipment is made to be used for research on eyemovements. In the second part, a computermodel of a part of the balance organ in the inner-ear is developed. The work has been done atthe Bernadotte laboratory at S:t Erik Eye Hospital.The equipment the control system is made for is a so-called rotationchair.

Framträdande är ett desorienterat tänkande och röstahallucinationer, även om störningen huvudsakligen är kognitiv så yttrar den sig oftast på beteendemässiga och känslomässiga plan. Attityderna gentemot schizofrena har under de senare åren generellt förbättrats i det svenska samhället och inom sjukvården. Men ändå är negativa attityder fortfarande vanligt förekommande. En attityd är en uppfattning som man bildar sig gentemot ett visst fenomen, en persons medvetna eller omedvetna inställning till en person eller ting och kan vara positiv eller negativ.

SAMMANDRAGI denna teoretiska uppsats jämförs och problematiseras filosofen Hannah Arendts (1906-1975)begrepp handling och filosofen Judith Butlers (1956-) begrepp performativitet. Genom dettaså jämförs även deras respektive användning av begreppet politik. Syftet med uppsatsen är attproblematisera användningen av dessa begrepp samt att jämföra dem med varandra ochargumentera för de likheter som finns. Ytterligare ett syfte är att argumentera för HannahArendts viktiga bidrag till samtida genusvetenskaplig forskning. !Först redogör jag för Hannah Arendts och Judith Butlers användning av begreppen var försig för att sedan göra jag en jämförande begreppsanalys där jag jämför likheterna mellan derasanvändning av begreppen.Mina slutsatser är att det finns ett flertal likheter mellan Arendt och Butlers teorier kringpolitik och villkoren för det mänskliga.

This thesis has two aims: The main purpose is to describe and illustrate how a large Ltd. company can use voluntary redundancy as a tool for restructuring. The additional purpose is to challenge the concept of voluntary redundancy trough outlining alternative ways of reaching the intended achievements of the voluntary redundancy programme. The theoretical framework that has been used primarily contains knowledge assets theories. The chosen theories are intellectual capital and knowledge management theory to approach and analyse the empirical findings.

Arbetet har utförts på Saab Bofors Dynamics AB i Linköping och dess syfte är att undersöka möjligheten att applicera teorin för prediktionsreglering, Model Predictive Control (MPC), på guidance systemet i en missil av typen Medium Range Air-to-Air Missiles (MRAAM). Även implementering via Explicit MPC har undersökts. I tidigare studier har det visat sig att den moderna slutfasstyrningsalgoritmen Linear Quadratic Augmented Proportional Navigation (LQAPN), som återkopplar missilens acceleration och rotation, uppvisar en bättre prestanda än de mer klassiska styrlagarna. Det främsta intresset med denna studie är därför att undersöka hur tillvida en styrlag baserad på MPC kan mäata sig med dessa resultat. Fördelen med att använda MPC är framförallt att man kan ta hänsyn till styrsignalbegränsningar på ett direkt och intuitivt sätt.

I ask on what grounds, with what arguments and how one could live with an inclusive ethic. I discuss the philosopher Peter Singer and the theologian Andrew Linzey to see their agreements and differences. Linzey has a mystic influence built into the theological perspective. In 1809 the citizens of Sweden where given the freedom to practice their Christian faith through the Swedish constitution of 1809, 16 §. This proclaimed that there should be religious freedom in Sweden, albeit restricted to Evangelical-Lutheran faith. Although after the law regarding dissenters was passed in 1860 by choosing another church than the Evangelical-Lutheran church you lost some civic rights, for example you could not become a public official. The freedom to choose religious affiliation was given through the Law of Religious Freedom in 1951. The purpose of this study is to evaluate in what way the concept of religious freedom has developed in Swedish law between 1809 and 1951.In the background I treat two historical events and one era, with focus upon religious freedom, which have in my opinion influenced the view of religious freedom in Sweden during the chosen period of 1809?1951.

The purpose of this investigation was to find out more about students? spontaneous ideas about properties and transformations of matter. Examples of matter chosen are such which students know about from everyday life and focus is mainly on the questions if students know that all matter has weight and that matter is preserved in transformations.The method used is semi structured qualitative interviews with individual students. Different experiments were carried out together with the students who afterwards were interviewed. However, the students show varying answers and no generalizations can be done.
