Abstract. Risk assessment for future violence is an important part of today's forensic psychiatry, and including dynamic risk factors in risk assessment is important because it has been shown that risk can change over time. However, previous research has suggested that perpetrators of homicide are different than perpetrators of other violent crimes. The aim of this study was to describe and analyze risk assessments of future violence for forensic psychiatric patients convicted for homicide (n = 45) and forensic psychiatric patients convicted for assault (n = 91). To do this, differences within the groups and between the groups were analyzed.

Background:There are future challenges for public health and health care in meeting the needs of a growing and ageing population. Today there are evidence of how arts can contribute to health development and of the connections between arts, health, treating and rehabilitating measures. To be able to meet the future challenges there is a need for new methods, perspectives and views about how to stay healthy, enjoy our existence and for wellbeing. Health care has an important role in rehabilitation through the broad contact with the population. The background of the essay is the pilot project Arts on Prescription that was carried out in order to try a new way of rehabilitation with arts as a factor.

In this study, we have explored a new area called ?gamification? ? a word and concept that was first introduced on the Internet autumn 2010. Gamification concerns integrating game design, with emphasis on game mechanics and game dynamics, into non-gaming contexts ? such as marketing. At its basic definition, it concerns the process of transforming all kinds of activities into games.

Bakgrund Vistelsetiden på akutmottagningen på Centralsjukhuset i Kristianstad har studerats och en skillnad identifierades där män i större utsträckning än kvinnor hade en vistelsetid kortare än fyra timmar. Ingen direkt orsak till skillnaden i vistelsetid kunde urskiljas. Det identifierade fenomenet valdes att bearbetas med genus som begrepp.SyfteSyftet med studien var att undersöka orsaken till varför det är en skillnad i vistelsetid mellan män och kvinnor på akutmottagningen.Metod Metod för datainsamling var kvalitativ intervju. Informanter valdes strategiskt utifrån kriteriet att de arbetade på en akutmottagning, och bestod av olika yrkesprofessioner, kön samt yrkeserfarenhet. Två olika sjukhus i södra Sverige deltog i studien.

Background:Chronic heart failure (CHF) is a complex clinical condition. The higher survival rate after heart attack and other heart diseases, plus aging population, has led to more CHF patients. Symptoms can have negative impact on exercise capacity, ability to perform activities of daily living and quality of life. Heart failure clinics have been established to help better quality of life. Helping to stabilize and maintain patients´ health can reduce the need of hospital admission.

Background:Incoming medical alarm is a common routine for emergency nurses. Working in these situations may represent a major burden on the individual nurse. Purpose: To investigate emergency room nurses' experiences in receiving medical alerts focused on education, safety, security, skills and experience, and andherence to guidelines. The purpose was also to investigate whether there were any differences in action between the emergency room nurses who had worked longer or shorter period than two years with this.Method:The design was quantitative, comparative and descriptive. Surveys were distributed to 30 nurses who worked in the emergency room at a Swedish hospital.

ABSTRACTMultiple sclerosis (MS) is the leading cause of adult disability inSweden. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) can be used as a treatment option for patients with MS where the disease has an aggressive course. The treatment is preceded by high-dose chemotherapy which lowers the patient's immune system. It is therefore of interest to study infectious complications associated with HSCT in this patient.Aim: The purpose of this study was to identify infection problems in this population associated with HSCT, and to study differences in infectious complications between this group and patients diagnosed with lymphoma who have undergone the same treatment.Method: The study was a retrospective descriptive study with quantitative data. A medical record review was conducted.

Höftfraktur men även misstanke om detta är ett mycket vanligt förekommande uppdrag inom ambulanssjukvården. Att drabbas av en höftfraktur är ett allvarligt tillstånd med stora riskfaktorer med hög dödlighet som följd i efterförloppet. På senare tid har ett större fokus lagts för att förbättra och effektivisera vårdförloppet av dessa patienter. Åtgärder som vidtagits har lett till förändringar inom ambulanssjukvården där huvudsyftet är att snabbt identifiera och få patientgruppen till rätt vårdnivå. Målsättningen är att patienterna tidigt kommer till operation, minska riskerna för komplikationer samt att optimera möjligheterna för patienten att återgå till ett normalt liv.

This essay notice film and TV-series as a resource, which can be utililized by the tourism industry. To be more concrete, the aim of this essay is to examine if and how the Television series ?Midsomer murders? can be utilized as a tourism product. To fulfill the purpose of this essay, two different methods have been used: the study off literature and a content analyses, the later in form of a picture & film analyses. The results of this study showed that ?Midsomer murders? have qualifications enough to be a successful tourism product.

Background: An increasing number of operations on children are performed as day surgery and this experience of health care may affect future Hospital stays. The aim of this qualitative study was to describe children´s experiences in connection with day surgery. Method: Ten children aged six to fifteen who had gone through general anesthesia at examinations or surgery were interviewed and the content was analyzed by systematic text condensation. Result: The core category ?From uncertainty to relief with newly acquired experience? could summarize the result of this interview study.

Att hitta rätt i den stora, komplexa miljön på Linköpings Universitetssjukhus är en utmaning. I nuläget finns skyltning och information i miljön men denna fungerar inte på ett tillräckligt bra sätt. Det är så pass bristande att man har guider vid entrén för att vägleda besökare rätt, något som är både opraktiskt och oekonomiskt. Syftet med denna designfallstudie var att utveckla ett wayshowingsystem för besökare på Linköpings Universitetssjukhus kring dess södra entré och i huvudbyggnaden. För att uppfylla syftet genomfördes ett antal kvalitativa intervjuer och observationer i miljön samt insamling av data från tidigare studier som gjorts i ämnet.

IntroduktionDet är föga dokumenterat hur barnsjuksköterskor upplever att arbeta med att främja anknytningmellan föräldrar och barn inom ramen för neonatal hemsjukvård.SyfteSyftet med denna studie är att undersöka barnsjuksköterskans upplevelse av att främjaanknytningsprocessen mellan barn och föräldrar inom neonatal hemsjukvård.MetodKvalitativ intervjustudie med Fenomenologisk hermeneutisk ansats.ResultatI resultatet framkommer fem huvudteman vilka är: Att samverka, Att vägleda, Att bekräfta ochuppmuntra, Att se och ana och Att vara i hemmet. I den tolkade helheten framkommer det attfrämja anknytning i hemmet bland annat handlar om vad barnsjuksköterskan har för inställning tillanknytning. Detta framkommer när barnsjuksköterskan beskriver vad hon anser är henneshuvuduppgifter. Familjerna kan således ha kommit olika långt i anknytningsprocessen när deskrivs hem till hemsjukvården, beroende på vilket sjukhus de har legat på.DiskussionI hemmet blir föräldrarna trygga, barnsjuksköterskan är gäst i deras hem och är där på derasvillkor. Students at the School of Engineering at Jönköping University have on behalf of the swimming organization ?Nässjö Sim och Livräddningssällskap? conducted research on how to monitor and evaluate swimmers and swimming groups in a simple and efficient manner with a focus on usability and user friendliness. Since no system existed that could meet these requirements, the client had a desire to tailor and develop such a system. The purpose of this work was to develop a system that would work as a tool to be used by coaches and swimmers alike and allow them to eventually follow the development of swimmers and swimming groups. This essay describes how the author gradually gets a deeper understanding for his profession and the development of his professional skills, attitude and practice. The essay contains two main narratives representing examples from the author´s occupational practice, and through those narratives he tells how his practice alters and develops. These stories are also the basis for considering different aspects on how to get good models for practising a profession when you are a beginner, and how to manage ethical dilemmas. The starting point is when the author in the beginning of his career as a rural pastor is visiting a seriously ill parishioner at a province hospital. The course and the outcome of this call is surprising the young pastor, and the author tries to analyze the background to the outcome and assesses several possible explanations for the result of his call. The narrative is used to examine the attitude, the professional skills and the social and existential context for the author at that time. The patriarchal patterns in the parish are illuminated and questioned. In the second part of the essay the author investigates what will happen when pastoral cure transforms to psychotherapy, and how the author deals with phenomena in the therapeutical process such as idealization and secondary traumatization. On basis of texts written by among others Ingela Josefson, Fredrik Svenaeus, Christian Nilsson and Ulla Ekström von Essen the author seeks explanation for the development of his practical knowledge. I Sverige insjuknar 250-300 barn varje år av cancer. De cancertyper som drabbar barn är vanligtvis inte de samma som vuxna utvecklar. Olika cancerformer kräver olika typer av behandling, dessa är cytostatika, operation samt strålbehandling. Sjuksköterskan skall kunna möta föräldrar och barn samt uppfatta deras lidande för att kunna tillfredställa behovet av en god omvårdnad. För föräldrarna upplevs barnets cancerdiagnos ofta som ett svårt lidande, som kan kännas helt outhärdligt.
