This is a work that look at the factors that affect future monthly costs when buying a house in Sweden and which options are the most financially favorable over a 30 year period. The work also examines whether it is economically beneficial to invest in a low-energy house regardless of geographic location in Sweden, and discuss about whether a calculation template can help individuals to choose more environmentally friendly options. The work has been limited so that a certain number of predetermined factors and its measurable values have been developed with the help of a literature study. The factors chosen are building type, climate, heating systems, loan interest rates, energy prices, energy price increases, inflation rates and down payment. These are then combined into 72 different calculation cases which get put in a calculation model made in excel.

AbstractThe project "Sound and Play" have been implemented in collaboration with the toy company BRIO in Malmo. The purpose of the project was to examine whether and how BRIO in the future could develop toys around sound for Toddlers.The problem formulations that would be answered after completion of the project was "How could BRIO broaden its product range with the help of audio toys?", "How can you combine toys and sounds in an interesting way for children?", "How do you create a toy with sound that is fun for the child, but not annoying for parents?". Currently BRIO only has two toys with sound in this age group.The expression of the toy was going to be a mix of classic and cool and the overall feeling of the toy was going to be explorative and arouse curiosity in the child. This feeling would be communicated through simplicity and joy.

Examensarbetet "Utveckling av rollator" har utförts på institutionen för teknik och samhälle vid Högskolan i Skövde på uppdrag av Ahlberg Leber AB i ämnet integrerad produktutveckling. Uppdraget började med en grundlig förstudie av rollatormarknaden och till viss del även närliggande marknader. En kundkedja togs fram över de personer som kommer i kontakt med rollatorn under dess livslängd och som därför kan anses som intressenter av hur produkten utformas. Därefter gjordes ett antal intervjuer och enkäter för att klargöra vilka egenskaper som ansågs som viktiga hos en rollator. Utifrån detta skapades en objektiv kravspecifikation som diskuterades och modifierades något efter företagets krav. Välkända metoder såsom t ex brainstorming och brainwriting har använts för att generera idéer till projektet. Idégenereringen genomfördes både inom projektgruppen och tillsammans med andra studenter. Under genereringen lades fokus på ett antal olika områden, som huvudform, tilläggsfunktioner, hopfällningar och helhetslösningar. Efter att ha arbetat vidare på några olika idéer kunde olika konceptförslag skapas.

The aim of this study is to investigate which communication strategies and channels the mu- nicipal company Falu Energi & Vatten should use in order to become more efficient in com- municating with citizens between 18 to 29 years old. The company is owned by the munici- pality of Falun and manages community services in electricity, district heating, fresh water, sewerage, metropolitan area network and waste disposal. The following theories have been used in the study: convergence culture, digital natives, information overload, communication strategies and uses & gratifications theory. The methods used in the study are 4 focus group interviews and one informant interview. The members of the focus groups where within the age range 18-29 years and lived in the city of Falun.

Bakgrund: Etisk stress innebär att uppleva stress som är relaterad till etiska utmaningar. Inom geriatrisk vård finns även patienter som vårdas i livets slutskede i behov av palliativ vård. Palliativ vård är ett begrepp som präglas av en helhetssyn på människan. Sjuksköterskorna i den geriatriska vården möter etiska utmaningar, då de bör ta hänsyn till ett helhetssyn samtidigt som det finns varierande typ av patienter och varierande uppgifter som alla kräver sjuksköterskans närvaro, vilket kan leda till upplevelser av etisk stress.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskors upplevelser av etisk stress vid vård av patienter i livets slutskede på en geriatrisk vårdavdelning.Metod: En kvalitativ metod har använts. Data samlades in genom enskilda intervjuer med nio sjuksköterskor verksamma på en geriatrisk vårdavdelning.

Even minor health effects may be important for the whole population. Stroke patients require the largest number of days spent in hospitals and nursing homes than any other medical condition group. Risk factors for stroke include smoking, high alcohol intake, physical inactivity, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, high waist-hip ratio and diabetes.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) does not have an explicit definition but instead entail a broad spectrum of various obligations that an organisation is responsible for. CSR has in recent years become a highly relevant and debatable topic as a consequence of the increased exposure of companies to society. Due to an augmented consumption from the general population, CSR is of great importance in companies' aspiration to create and maintain a solid relationship with costumers. Previous researches have described what areas of CSR are most relevant in terms of consumption. However, it can be suggested that these publications have failed to provide an indication of what type of costumers these various areas attract.

Introduction: All women can be subjected to intimate personal violence by theirpartner, but the older woman's vulnerability to violence is not highlighted in research.Consequences of violence can be severe and it is essential from a public healthperspective to explore the issue even for the older woman. Objective: The objective ofthe study was to generate a deeper understanding of the problems of older woman'svulnerability to violence by their spouse / partner. The research questions focused onwhat characterized their situation and how a gender perspective can illuminate theproblem. Method: A structured search for scientific studies was carried out in thedatabases: Pubmed, Cinahl, PsykArticles and Scopus in the area of interest. A qualityassessment of the articles was preformed and 12 qualitative studies were included in thestudy.

BACKGROUND: The relationship between physical activity and health versusphysical inactivity and poor health are well known. Ethnic minorities are generallyless physically active than the residence country's majority population andgenerally have a poorer health status. The study has a health promotion perspective.PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to describe factors that influencephysical activity among middle-aged and older persons, belonging to an ethnicminority. METHOD: The method used to answer the purpose is a literature-basedstudy. The searching for literature has been carried out in a systematic way.Scientific articles to base the results on, has been gathered from various databases.Included articles were analyzed with a qualitative content analysis and identifiedsimilarities and differences in the content were divided into themes and categories.RESULTS: Recurrent themes in the literature, that influence physical activity inmiddle-aged and older people that belong to an ethnic minority, was support, healthand illness, external factors, internal factors, community related and socioeconomicfactors and ignorance and beliefs.

I  Sverige  har  antalet  äldre  ökat  de  senaste  årtiondena.  Ju  äldre  människor  blir  desto vanligare blir förekomsten av  sjukdomar och funktionshinder. Vårdplatserna inom  både slutenvård  och  särskilt  boende  har  blivit  färre  och  uppskattningsvis  vårdas  250  000 personer   i   hemvård  idag.   Denna   utveckling   innebär   att   den   närstående,   som   är anhörigvårdare i hemmet har en betydelsefull roll. Syftet med denna studie är att beskriva anhörigvårdarens  erfarenheter  av  kunskapsbehov  för  att  ge  omsorg  och  vård  till  sin make/maka med långvarig sjukdom och/eller funktionshinder i hemmet. Studien baseras på  intervjuer,  som  gjordes  med  anhörigvårdare  dels  genom  en  fokusgrupp  med  fyra deltagare,  dels  genom  fyra  individuella  intervjuer,  det  vill  säga  sammanlagt  åtta informanter.  Intervjumaterialet  har  bearbetats  med  hjälp  av  kvalitativ  innehållsanalys. Studien pågick under åren 2009-2010.

There is a need for examining the accessibility of public web sites and for several reasons. First, public organizations possess considerable amounts information of interest to its citizens and which ought to be easily accessible. Secondly, international and national guidelines for web publishing support the different types of requirements experienced by web users and, in particular, with regard to accessibility for people with disabilities. The thesis examines the design of public web sites from two different aspects. Web sites can be built up and structured from the management view of the public organization, or, they can be constructed with a view to user needs and requirements.

Undernäring hos äldre personer kan ha flera orsaker. Såväl fysiska, psykiska och psykosociala faktorer kan leda till undernäring. Uppsatsen fokuserar på undernäring hos äldre personer som bor i eget eller särskilt boende. Syftet med uppsatsen är att belysa vilka orsaker som kan ligga bakom undernäring hos äldre människor samt beskriva vilka åtgärder sjuksköterskan inom hemsjukvården kan vidta för att motverka detta. Metoden som använts är litteraturöversikt.

AbstractPurpose/Aim: In my essay I study the use of Internet with information overload as my perspective. I compare two age groups in order to find out whether there is a difference between generations in how they use the Internet and experience the vast amount of information that is found on the net.Material/Method: I gather information from six frequent World Wide Web users to find out whether they are experiencing information overload when using the Internet in their spare time and how they structure and make sense of the vast amount of information that is found on the net. I use semi-structured interviews to gather qualitative, not quantitative, material for my study. I have also used literature and websites on information overload, the Internet, and connected themes in order to get a broader picture of the subject and help me analyse the material.Main results: The main results of my study are that frequent Internet users do not feel that they suffer from the vast amount of information found on the World Wide Web. They rather enjoy it and if they have heard the term information overload they assume that it does not apply to their use of the Internet.

User participation in the planning process of renewing the yards of existing residential areas was introduced in Sweden in the 1970s. It arose as a solution to many of the problems which became common in the residential areas built within the Swedish million program. The aim with the million program was to build one million homes within ten years. The same year as the million program was completed, in 1975, government subsidies to improve the residential yards were introduced. One of the conditions to get the subsidies was that the residents had to be involved in the planning process.

The sun is an endless energy source and the heat it produces can be used to heatup our homes. This technology is relatively old and was introduced in the late70-s. There are two kinds of solar collectors that are most frequently used todayand these are plain solar collectors and vacuum solar collectors. The plain solarcollectors are the once that are used the most but the vacuum solar collectorshave increased more as a percentage the last couple of years.The biggest question asked regarding an investment in solar heating is if theplant is economically profitable. This question has no direct answer because itis dependent on a couple of prerequisites.
