A change has occurred in terms of recruitment to teacher education. From having been an educationof high status and reputation, a reduced application rate has led to lower admission requirementsand thus that students with much lower educational qualifications entering, which in turn means thatthe education status and reputation have been reduced significantly. Mathematics, on the other hand,has always been a topic of high status and reputation. Although there are few students who chooseto study to be a mathematics teacher. By conducting a survey of students on teacher educationtoday, both with mathematics and other approaches, I wanted to get answers to my questions aboutwhat influences students' choice of education: who are the students studying to be teachers inmathematics? Do they distinguish themselves from the student teachers who studies to be teachersin other subject specializations? Pierre Bourdieu's sociological ideas about cultural capitaltransmitted from parent to child constitute the theoretical framework of the study.Early in the study, I noticed that there is a difference between students studying to be a teacher inpreschool, primary or middle school and them studying to be a teacher in secondary and highschool, especially in terms of the mathematics student teachers.

Bullying is something that is often times talked about in relation to school, in spite of that it's still something that is a very common problem. It is also rarely ever clearly defined, and is subject to a heap of different definitions. In order to prevent something, we must first understand it, and therefore define it. Both contemporary research in History of Religions and current public debate tell us that Christianity as a religious form is challenged in today?s society. Nevertheless, Christianity is often present in secular artistic expression such as fictional literature. The purpose of this paper is to examine how God is portrayed in two late-modern Swedish novels, Djävulen och Gud by Mare Kandre (1993) and Boken by Niklas Rådström (2013).The examination is based on a hermeneutic method using close reading in order to answer the questions asked. The result of the examination shows that God in the late-modern novels is portrayed as a figure with shifting emotions, and in both novels God goes through changes which are in some ways similar.

Lumilos is a work investigating the possibilities to use light and color in an interactive design context. I have explored different light sources and compared them to each other and given a short description of the history of light and how it has been developed during the industrialization in the western world. I have also investigated what is currently done in the field and summarized that with examples in the categories passive-, colored-, material- and interactive light. The conclusion is that working with interactive color and light is a hard task. There are many different angles to take into account such as personal likings and earlier experiences that is uncontrollable by the designer. Yet there are many possibilities and light is a material that is moldable in many forms. I have put the knowledge about light and color into practice and developed an interactive light wall that is visualizing energy consumption with the use of different colors of light and animations.

 Denna uppsats undersöker två läroböcker avsedda för gymnasiets A-kurs i engelskämnet, Progress Gold A (2003) och Solid Ground (2003), i syfte att se vad de kan kommunicera ur ett genusperspektiv. De frågeställningar som behandlas är följande: Hur konstrueras genus i texterna i dessa båda läroböcker? Då läsaren inkluderas exempelvis i ett "vi" eller "du", förutsätts läsaren då vara antingen man eller kvinna, eller har detta inte någon betydelse? Hur förhåller sig resultaten till läroplanens mål om jämställdhet?Den teori och metod som ligger till grund för analysen har hämtats från det fält som kallas diskursanalys. Såsom den utformats i detta arbete kan metoden närmast beskrivas som en kvalitativ närläsning av materialet. Resultatet visar på att båda läroböckerna till stor del tycks reproducera genuskontraktets grundpelare, dikotomiseringen av manligt och kvinnligt samt hierarkin dem emellan som ger det manliga högre statuts än det kvinnliga.
