The relationship between China and Japan has historically been problematic and, in some ways still is. One of the issues where both of the states cannot agree on is the island dispute. While both states are claiming sovereignty over the island and there do not seem to be an ending to it in the near future. If the island dispute continues to escalate it could have a negative impact in the Asian region and eventually rest of the world as well. However due to the complexity of the dispute a deeper knowledge is needed and a mutual understanding is needed.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze the view on sexuality held by Sweden?s first woman doctor Karolina Widerström, by using ideologycritical textanalysis on the written scriptures of dr. Widerström that focus on sexualpolitics. In doing this I use the theory of speech by Foucault. In this study I focus on Widerström?s scriptures, what she wrote about, how she wrote about it but also what she couldn't write due to the historical context and how omission can still speak of power.

This essay analyzes three Swedish cartoon artists: Elias Ericson, Lisa Ewald and AmandaCasanellas. The aim is to examine how they construct feminist strategies through their workand how they convey this visually. The issue of whether these Swedish cartoons can be seenas a part of a bigger political platform is central. Through semiotics and post-colonial andqueer feminist theory, some answers to these questions are searched for.The result shows that all three of the artists can be seen in a bigger activist context, even ifthey work in and through different platforms. Casanellas questions the racism in Swedenand how we should prevent it.

The aim of this work is to examine methodologies at remedial lessons for children with weak mobility, in a common Swedish municipal school in an attempt to determine if a connection to theoretical learning exists.Kadesjö describes how difficulties in concentration can arise as a result of problems with mobility and perception, and according to Piaget very young children develop cogitation through physical movements. The absence of female directors on Swedish corporate boards is currently a hot topic for both politicians and business leaders all over the world. This thesis aims to discuss reasons for the scarcity of women on boards in Swedish publicly listed companies as well as what actions are taken to alter the composition of these boards. A rigorous selection of gender theories have been used together with data collected from in-depth interviews with mainly board members and nomination committees. Extensive analysis has led to findings that historical perceptions of differences between men and women linger as of today, which prevents women to reach top executive levels as well as board positions. The increasing use of headhunters has encouraged companies to look beyond male-dominated networks in an attempt to widen the range of potential board nominees.

Thamesmead är ett förortsområde i London, söder om Themsen. Dess arkitektur har, sedan det byggdes i slutet av 60-talet, skildrats på film ett flertal gånger. Den karaktäristiska utformningen är ett exempel på 1960- och 70-talets brutalistiska arkitektur som väcker olika känslor hos brukare och arkitekter. I denna text beskrivs Thamesmeads utveckling från planering till nutid. Bakgrunden till de arkitekturideal som styrde områdets utformning behandlas samt delvis sociala förutsättningar.

I denna uppsats har filmljudet i krigsfilmerna Apocalypse Now och Saving Private Ryan undersökts. Detta har gjorts för att försöka bidra med ökad förståelse för filmljudets användningsområde och funktioner, främst för filmerna i fråga, men även för krigsfilm rent generellt. Filmljud i denna kontext omfattar allt det ljud som finns i film, men utesluter dock all ickediegetisk musik. Båda filmerna har undersökts genom en audio-visuell analys. En sådan analys görs genom att detaljgranska båda filmernas ljud- och bildinnehåll var för sig, för att slutligen undersöka samma filmsekvens som helhet då ljudet och bilden satts ihop igen.

Title: Experiential learning in the upper secondary school ? a study of film as a method in music education. Today the school competes foremost with TV and the computer regarding the spreading of knowledge. I believe that it is of great importance for the school to move with the developments of society in order to, to a greater extent, reach and motivate pupils. My degree thesis is about how you, as a teacher, can use experiential learning in music teaching in the upper secondary school.

Det här är en studie som genom ett normkritiskt perspektiv tittar på barnbokens plats som material i förskolan. Syftet med studien är att få en fördjupad förståelse för varför barnboken är ett så populärt pedagogiskt hjälpmedel i förskolan och vilka antaganden som ligger till grund för detta. Undersökningen utfördes genom intervjuer med sju pedagoger och fokus för intervjufrågorna var antaganden kring barnböcker och deras användning samt antaganden kring andra sagoberättarformer. Resultatet visade att barnboksanvändandet blivit en norm för förskolor och att detta kan ha att göra med varför de flesta pedagoger jag intervjuade var skeptiska till andra former, då främst tekniska så som film, dator och iPad..

Syftet med magisteruppsatsen är att undersöka om filminstruktioner ur ett pedagogsikt hänseende är bättre eller åtminstone upplevs som bättre än andra typer av instruktioner. För att få svar på det har mina frågeställningar varit: Hur fungerar utbildningsfilm kopplat till QR-kod i industrin som verktyg för lärande? Hur upplever arbetarna olika typer av instruktioner? Vad krävs för att filmade instruktioner kopplade till QR-kod ska fungera som ett medel för lärande i industrin? Hur ser arbetarna på kombinationen av QR-kod och video som instruktionsform? De metoder jag använde var av kvalitativ karaktär och bestod av observation, intervjuer, analys av filmade testningar samt experiment.Det finns för- och nackdelar med alla instruktionsformer och uppgiftens utformning, svårighetsgrad eller riskgrad styr preferens. Arbetarna i min undersökning föredrar filmade instruktioner på grund av deras effektivitet, multimodalitet, individualisering samt tillgänglighet till expert. Försökspersonerna upplever dock att tekniken tar tid.

Uppsatsen behandlar visning av spelfilm som ett pedagogiskt inslag i historieundervisningen. Uppsatsen syftar till att undersöka ett fåtal lärares resonemang kring att använda historisk film i sin undervisning. Fyra lärare har intervjuats, och svaren har analyserats med hjälp av en hermeneutisk utgångspunkt.Undersökningen visar att lärare har olika skäl att använda sig av spelfilm när de undervisar i historia, och att de ser olika på spelfilm som pedagogiskt verktyg. Ingen av informanterna tycker sig ha någon hjälp och stöttning av styrdokumenten när det gäller hur de skulle kunna använda alternativa läromedel. Uppsatsen visar att spelfilm kan användas som ren underhållning, men även för att hjälpa till att skapa ökad inlevelse och ökade färdigheter i historieämnet.Nyckelord: spelfilm, undervisning, historieundervisning.

The aim of this study is to explore howEuropean changes in the view on securityrelates to the view on immigration and viceversa. The answer to that question is basedupon collected data from three separatetime periods; the 1950s, 1970s and 1990s.These time periods are seen as importanthistoric decades when political changes,assumed to have affected the views onsecurity and immigration, have occurred.According to certain criteria each timeperiod has been labelled in terms ofnarrowed/widened view on security as wellas restrictive/open view on immigration.The hypothesis of the study is that, whencompared, a constant pattern can be seenbetween the historical labels of eachphenomenon, where a narrow view onsecurity goes hand in hand with an openview on immigration and similarly a widesecurity view relates to a restrictive viewon immigration.The conclusion of the study gives supportto the hypothesis. During all three periodsstudied a restrictive view on immigrationrelates to a wider view on security while anopen view on immigration relates to anarrower view on security. This study is based on qualitative and hermeneutic methods. The investigation summarises how four textbooks present Buddhism in (school) subject Religion, such as texts and images. Two of them are used in Religious studies A, the rest is used in Religious studies 1. The study rests on the theories of orientalism and christocentrism, where both can be related to the concept of making secondary. In the research background there are descriptions of how the western world looks upon Buddhism in a historical perspective, but also how Buddhism in a modern age is represented.

The investigation is limited to the classification category of ?Yx Jazz, Rock and Popular Music? within the SAB-system. The development of this category is studied.

Det här examensarbetet undersöker om klassiska användbarhetsprinciper kan appliceras på en rigg i en dataspelsproduktion och göra den mer lättanimerad. Arbetet beskriver problemen med riggar som är väldigt svåranimerade på grund av ett krångligt gränssnitt. Den beskriver också det praktiska arbetet vilket innebär att ta en produkt från en idé till en färdig fullt animerad 3D-modell, som kan importeras i en spelmotor.
