There are no guidelines regarding how companies should design status updates on Facebook which attain good readability and engage the readers. Half the Swedish population are Facebook-users, but companies have yet to publish comprehensible messages on Facebook which effectively include the recipients. Inclusion is not just a matter of accessibility, but also of readability.Therefore, I studied how status updates should be designed on Facebook in order to increase the readability and to engage the readers. My target group is 22-32 year olds, since the company I worked with wanted to target this group. I conducted my research through literature studies, interviews with the client, analysis of past status updates, questioned an expert in social media, and organized a group interview with the target group.My research shows that status updates should contain information that is topical, informative and relevant to the target group.

Syftet är att undersöka vilka föreställningar föräldrar och förskollärare på en förskola i Sverige har om förskolläraryrkets status och vilka föreställningar de tror folk i allmänhet har. Syftet är även att undersöka föräldrars syn på förskolans uppdrag, om deras inflytande påverkar förskolans status och om förskollärarna i studien känner en yrkesstolthet. Frågeställningen i studien är: Hur beskriver sex förskollärare och 34 föräldrar sin syn på förskolläraryrkets status? Studien genomfördes med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ metod i form av enkäter och intervjuer, för att ge studien både bredd och djup. De slutsatser som kan dras utifrån studien är att en majoritet av föräldrarna anser att förskolläraryrkets status är låg och att en majoritet av förskollärarna inte är nöjda med sitt yrkes status.

Several reports and scientific research have shown that unemployment affectshealth negatively and that it is the young unemployed who suffer the most. Despitethis, there were not many evaluated labour market programs for young peoplefocusing both on how the labour market programs affect the job status and health,most of them were only focused on job status. Since there were not manycompilations in that direction, the essay is intended to describe the variousprograms and their impact on both job status and health. A literature-based studyhas been conducted and 15 articles have been reviewed and compiled into variouscategories using a content analysis. It turned out that the majority of the mostcommon labour market programs were represented in the scientific literature.There was also a new genre that is not mentioned in previous reports, cognitivebehavioral therapy (CBT), which proved to be one of the most successful programs.Michigan Prevention Research Center (MPRC) job search programs also showedsome positive results.

Syftet med undersökningen är att diskutera synen på läraryrkets status, genom att ta reda på vilka faktorer som kan påverka ett yrkes status. För att kunna analysera den empiri som samlades in kommer Gunnel Colnerud och Kjell Granströms teorier om ett professionellt yrke att diskuteras. Ulfsdotter Erikssons avhandlig om bland annat yrkesstatus och Gerhard Arfwedsons teorier om lärarlöner och kvinnodominans inom läraryrket kommer också att behandlas. Andy Hargreaves teorier används för att diskutera de statusskillnader som redan i skolan präglar eleverna och de fungerar även som ett komplement till Arfwedsons teorier. Undersökningen genomfördes med hjälp av en kvantitativ metod, i form av enkäter.

This master?s thesis discusses the term physical theatre from a discourse point of view. It also focuses on aspects of power from a field theory perspective. The main theory used is Pierre Bourdieu?s field theory, and I try to apply this onto critical discourse analysis, mainly taken from Michel Foucault.

En undersökning om det åländska sjömanslivet.Syftet med detta arbete vara upptäcka hur livet var på sjön på de åländska fartygen under mellan åren 1900- 1945. Det andra syftet var att utifrån hieratiska sjömanslivet få fram vad som gav status på de åländska fartygen.  Resultatet visar att för att få de åländska fartygen gällde det att individen skulle uppfylla sjömansidealet. Sjömansidealet var bland annat att sjömannen skulle vara modig, fysisk stark och ha erfarenhet. Status kunde sjömannen få inom två kategorier, inom arbetet och inom det sociala. De faktorer som gav status inom arbetet var att arbetsam, kunnig, fysiskt stark, modig, beslutsam, erfaren, hård.

The purpose of this study is to explain the development of the first higher technical education in Trollhättan, with the added perspective of Trollhättans strong industrial profile as a city. The interesting thing being that the city did not try to first and foremost get a regular higher education, but a technical higher education instead. The study describes the political twists and turns the question took from its most early stage in the year 1940 and how the city's industrial profile did indeed have an impact on the development of the first higher technical education. Especially because there was a need for educated engineers in the city, as well as the country of Sweden in large during this time. The study also tries to explain the problems related to such a development, primarily by describing the lack of sufficient housing for schools during the 1950's, this meant that the higher regular school and the higher technical school had to cooperate in finding said housing.

The aim of this essay is to examine how educated immigrants from former Yugoslavia are experiencing the Swedish labor market and if they feel that there are factors that complicate their ability to establish themselves in the Swedish labor market. We have also examined whether and if so, how their status has changed in connotation with the move to Sweden. The method we have used is a qualitative interview study where we asked questions from a semi-structured interview guide. We chose to make use of both previous research and a number of analytical tools for using these to interpret inequality and discrimination that exist in the Swedish labor against educated immigrants. The results presented four factors that our respondents perceive contribute to difficulty in establishing themselves in the Swedish labor market, these are: contacts, name, validation and trainee post.

Research establishes, that clothes constantly communicate something about its wearer. You send out different messages depending on what sort of clothes you are wearing. For example, a suit can project social status and power, while, a pair of jeans usually conveys a more casual impression. Either way, research state that clothes are symbolic expressions.This essay focuses on the theme clothes and pupils within the school world. Do pupils today experience clothes as symbolic values? By using qualitative interviews, I have examined how four senior high school pupils talk about clothes and its potential symbolic value in school.

The purpose of this paper is to study and describe the occurrence and conditions of aesthetic subjects and choral singing in Swedish upper secondary schools 2014. The paper is based on seven recorded individual interviews with three music teachers, four principals and one director of education in three upper secondary schools in Sweden. The study uses discursive psychology and the interviews were analysed with focus on music teachers and school leaders interpretative repertoires and rhetorical strategies and how they use the language to legitimate aesthetic subjects in an upper secondary school context. In the most recent upper secondary school reform of 2011 the aesthetic subjects are no longer mandatory. Today there are different ways to provide opportunities for the students to participate in music activities but since the government no longer decides how it shall be implemented it is up to the management of each school to determine the activities.The statement made by the informants are interesting in relation to the status of music subjects, but due to the limited scope of the paper, no general conclusions can be drawn.

Syftet med uppsatsen har varit att genom fem kvalitativa intervjuer med lärare i grundskolans senare år, undersöka om anledningen kunde härledas från hur dessa lärare såg på kunskap och hur de värderade skolämnen sinsemellan. Resultatet av denna undersökning visar att dessa lärare anser att kunskap är värdefull när den fyller en nytta, och att alla utom en lärare rangordnar skolämnen sinsemellan beroende på om ämnen anses inneha viktiga funktioner eller enbart uppfattas som roliga bonusämnen i skolan. De slutsatser som kunnat dras ur undersökningens resultat är att sådana värderingar av kunskap och ämnen sinsemellan som intervjupersonerna visat på har betydelse för den status musikämnet ges..

I föreliggande examensarbete undersöks ungdomars föreställningar om manligt och kvinnligt i arbetslivet, hur ungdomarna kopplar dessa till status samt om de upplever sina tankar som frihetsalstrande eller begränsande. De ungdomar som undersökts kan med lätthet dela in olika arbeten i genuskategorierna kvinnligt och manligt samt förknippar status med genus låg status förknippas oftare med kvinnligt och hög status med manligt. En viss vanmakt framträder hos ungdomarna inför genusordningen samtidigt som de tycks tänka att det inte gäller dem själva. Dessa unga människors starka föreställningar om genusordningen kan, förutom deras bakgrund och livssituation, vara en av orsakerna till att flera av dem knappt ens vågar drömma om sin yrkesframtid. Ett genusperspektiv i vägledningen skulle kunna uppmärksamma vad som bidrar till att en människa hindras från att förverkliga sina drömmar.

The main purpose of this essay is on one hand to try to find and explain the formula of success of the rock group Status Quo, and on the other to elucidate and explain the foundation and essence in the music made by Status Quo, but also to study how, if and why the foundation and essence have changed over the years. The method of investigation is partly based on a musical analysis of three albums from three different periods: Hello! (1973), Ain´t Complaining (1988) and Heavy Traffic (2002), and partly on a sociological study of the group?s career between 1962 and today, 2005.The first part of the essay concerns the period between 1962-1973 with an analysis of the album Hello!; the second part concerns the period 1974-1988 and the album Ain´t Complaining; finally, the third part concerns the years between 1989-2002 with an intensified analysis of the album Heavy Traffic. In the forth part of the essay I discuss the career of Status Quo from a sociological point of view.I run to the conclusion that the essence of Status Quo is the boogie-woogie comp on Fender guitar by Rick Parfitt, the riff on Francis Rossis´ Fender guitar in combination with the base, the piano and the drums. This has been the essence through all the years, even though it was more difficult to apprehend it during the 1980s.
