This degree project illustrates newsprint and waterless offset. A new news press was introduced at Drupa-00, Cortina from KBA, which is the first news press dedicated the waterless technique. With actual statistics from the company in question an investigation was made whether their production fits this press. It came out in the investigation that the production of the company, from statistics, fits this press very good. A table was made where different timeschedules were accounted for the new press, with semi- and full automatic plate changing for present and to be added papers.

A reform of higher education in Sweden in 1993 led to stiffer competitive climate among educational institutions. The reform meant that educational institutions now had the opportunity to plan their curriculum autonomously. Prior to the reform educational planning was restricted to the Swedish government. The new rules spelled a greater opportunity for educational institutions to profile themselves based on their educational offerings. The higher degree of competition means that marketing becomes increasingly important when recruiting new students.

The development of higher education in Sweden poses new demands on higher education libraries. One way of meeting these demands has been to develop Learning Resource Centres (LRC), a concept that is relatively new in Sweden.The aim of this Master's thesis is to identify how the LRC-concept has been designed and integrated in three Swedish higher education institutions: Stockholms universitet, Lärarhögskolan i Stockholm and Göteborgs universitet. The thesis also aims at investigating what the Learning Resource Centres mean to the seats of learning, and in turn, the views of concerned parties in relation to the integration.The method used for the study is qualitative and based on interviews conducted with Learning Resource Centre staff, academic staff and principles or deans. In addition to this, strategic documents from the examined seats of learning are studied.Even though most Swedish Learning Resource Centres have used British Sheffield Hallam University's Adsetts Centre as their model, our study shows that the Swedish Learning Resource Centres of today have developed in various ways, due to local conditions; therefore, there is no definitive model for Swedish LRCs.In our opinion, one of the most important characteristics of a LRC should be its integration in the academic life of its university. There does not seem to be a "recipe" of how to conduct this integration.

In this thesis we propose a conceptual plan for thedevelopment of an Agroforestry Training Centre (ATC)in Musoma, Tanzania. The aim is to make a proposalto support peasant education in agroforestry. How canan ATC in Musoma be developed into a stimulatingand educational park suitable for teaching agroforestrymethods to peasant farmers and other potential users?To answer that a field study was conducted to investigatehow our client Vi Agroforestry Programme (Vi) and thetarget groups of the client can benefit from the site.The thesis begins with a short explanation of thecontext, in which the ATC plays a part followed by amethodology chapter. Next are three chapters presentedwhich introduce the reader to the research conductedbefore starting the proposal, these include: results ofliterature studies, study of precedents, and results of fieldstudy.

Syftet med denna studie var att utforska mindre aktiva skolelevers fysiska aktivitetsmönster. Den övergripande frågeställning var: vilka faktorer påverkar skolelevernas idrottsvanor? Sedan undersöktes två stycken mer specifika frågor: Finns det några skillnader, när det gäller faktorer som påverkar skolelevers idrottsvanor, beroende på hur deras familjs socioekonomiska status ser ut? Bidrar den teknologiska utvecklingen till den ökade fysiska inaktiviteten bland barn och ungdomar? För att besvara min frågeställning använde jag mig av fem stycken semistrukturerade individuella intervjuer med ungdomar i åldern 15-16. Alla fem respondenter gick i 9: onde klass på samma skola. Skolan valdes ut efter kriterierna att den låg i ett område med svag socioekonomisk status och hög invandrartäthet med respondenterna valdes ut efter kriterierna att de var fysiskt inaktiva.

I kursplanen för ämnet svenska finns det relativt nya vidgade textbegreppet, vilket innebär att text inte längre innefattas av tryckt text utan även kan vara bild, film, teater etcetera. Denna studie tar sin utgångspunkt i film som text. Syftet med undersökningen är att studera huruvida film som text kan likställas med den litterära texten i svenskundervisningen eller om filmmediet fortfarande, som forskningen benämner det, anses vara av låg status. I forskningsbakgrunden problematiseras filmens roll i svenskundervisningen och förslag på ytterligare bearbetningsmöjligheter angående film som text ges. Undersökningen grundar sig på intervjuer med tre gymnasielärare samt enkätundersökningar med respektive lärares elever, vilka läser kursen Svenska B.

The two swedish unions, Akademikerförbundet SSR and Kommunal, have a majority of female participations who mainly work in the public services. The difference between the unions is that one of them only represents members with academic educations and the other has members with lower educations. The aim of this study was to compare the two unions according to the terms exit, voice and loyalty, but also participation and influence. There were 142 participants in this study and 8 participants were interviewed in a pre-study. The result of the study shows that voice is a strong predictor to wellbeing in work life.

The aim of this thesis is to examine how mirrors were hung and used in decorating a room during the gustavian period (1770-1810) and the functionalistic period (1930-1939) in Sweden. I have compared the two styles and the way of decorating with mirrors. Based on the comparison I deduced the differences and similarities. The material which the thesis is based on are three drawings and one painting depicting four gustavian rooms containing mirrors. To illustrate the functionalistic period I used four photos from the catalogue from the Stockholm exhibition in 1930.

Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder resulting from exposure to a traumatic event. The purpose of this study was to examine the exposure to Potentially Traumatic Events (PTE) and the prevalence of PTSD among students at the University of Lund. Sexdifferences among these variables were also examined. Using surveys as research method, 380 students from five different faculties participated. The results indicated that these students have been more exposed to PTE than the general Swedish population.

The aim of this Masters thesis is to examine the librarian discourses that can be identified in the job advertisements of today, to examine how the discourses differ and also how these discourses might influence the librarian profession and its status. The method of investigation is a qualitative analysis of printed sources, using Ernesto Laclaus and Chantal Mouffes discourse theory as well as the theory of professions as a theoretical base. The thesis shows that two discourses can be identified in job advertisements for 2004, one public librarian discourse and one scientific librarian discourse. The major difference between the two discourses are work tasks where the public librarian discourse very often contains areas of responsibility and development work, whereas the scientific librarian discourse often contains administrative work tasks. Other differences include a great demand for driving licences and an interest in children and youth in the public librarian discourse, something which is not asked for at all in the scientific librarian discourse where there is a great demand for knowledge of languages instead.

Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to investigate whether there is a correlation between the actuarial assumptions, of listed groups in Large Cap on the Nasdaq Stockholm, equity ratio and their pensionplans funding status.Method: The study is based on a quantitative research method, where the analysis of annual reports takes place. The quantitative research method has enabled the paper to perform related analyzes and comparisons of means between groups, for listed companies equity ratio and pension obligation, and the relation to its actuarial assumptions. Correlation measurements are made using a non-parametric method, Spearman's rho, then further tested using one-sided hypotheses t-test.Theory: The backbone of the thesis is presented using two theories, earnings management and the principal-agent theory. These theories are intertwined with the previous researches, which also dealt with the essay topic of earnings management in previous years and in other countries.Empirical: Correlation analyzes between the studied actuarial assumptions and corporate groups solidity and pension financial status is presentedusing tables and charts. These are further analyzed using hypothesis tests and scatterplots.Conclusion: All tests resulted in very weak correlation between the different variables and can there for not be classified as significant.

Med en representationsanalys och semiotisk analys har jag tittat pa? mitt material utifra?n tva? tematiseringar med respektive underkategorier: 1) Tva?samhet: (hetero)sexualitet, monogami, ko?n och genus; 2) Funktion: social status, familjens och moderskapets funktion.

Guantanamofångarnas status - abstract Syftet med denna uppsats är att utreda Guantanamofångarnas juridiska status. Detta görs genom en diskussion av följande frågor: -Varför och på vilka grunder har USA fattat beslutet om att inte tillerkänna Guantanamo-fångarna krigsfångestatus? -Vad har fångarna för möjlighet att få sin status prövad? -Kan den uppkomna situationen ha någon inverkan på framtida internationell rätt? -Kan den uppkomna situationen påverka hur eventuellt tillfångatagna amerikaner i en framtida internationell väpnad konflikt blir behandlade? Svaren på dessa frågor har sökts genom litteraturstudier och inhämtande av information från internet. Faktablad och pressbriefings från Vita Huset och Försvarsdepartementet i USA har legat till grund för min analys av USA och Bush-administrationens argument. Dessa källor har kompletterats med kommenterande material författat av forskare från olika juridiska högskolor och universitet i USA. Uppsatsen visar att USA skiljer på fångar som är Talibanska soldater, samt fångar som är medlemmar i al-Qaeda.

Juholt var som en svamp som sög upp all kritik medan Bildt framstod som teflon i jämförelse. Hur kommer det sig att Bildt klarade sig och fick sitta kvar som mi-nister, medan Juholt avgick?Problem: Vad är det som skiljer Bildt från Juholts retorik under mediedreven 2011 enligt sta-tusläran? Hur ramar journalisterna in debatten för Bildt respektive Juholt?Teori: Med statusläran (stasis theory) kan en sakfråga analyseras retoriskt genom ett av fyra status (?ställning?): fakta, definition, kvalitet eller procedur. Exempelvis, ett dödande kan handla om huruvida det ägt rum (fakta), om det var mord eller självförsvar (definition), om det var rätt (kvalitet) samt om frågan ska avgöras i annat forum (procedur).
