?Mitt barns medicin? : En kvalitativ studie om föräldrars upplevelser av deras barns behandling med Modifierad Atkins Diet och ketogenkost.

BAKGRUND Modifierad Atkins Diet (MAD) och ketogenkost är kostbehandlingar som ordineras till barn med svårbehandlad epilepsi. Andra patientgrupper som behandlas med dessa dieter är patienter med glukostransportprotein typ 1-brist. Kostbehandlingarna är kolhydratfattiga och fettrika. I Sverige finns fyra sjukhus som arbetar med MAD och ketogenkost. I dagsläget saknas studier som beskriver hur behandlingarna upplevs av berörda familjer.SYFTE Syftet med studien var att utforska hur föräldrar till barn som behandlas med MAD eller ketogenkost upplever kostbehandlingen.METOD Kvalitativa intervjuer baserade på en halvstrukturerad frågeguide har genomförts.

Manure evaluation in dairy cows :

Manure evaluation has been suggested as a cheap, fast and easy method which can give information about the digestibility of the ration, the function of the rumen, where in the gastrointestinal tract the feed is digested and the health of the cow. An experiment was conducted to study how manure evaluation could be used as a management tool in Swedish Dairy farming. Manure was collected from cows on Kungsängen Research Station and from 9 other farms. The manure samples were analysed for dry matter, ash, starch, pH-value and particle size (wet sieved). Also, the consistency of the manure was determined on a 5-point scale and the colour and smell were noticed. Penn State Forage Particle Separator was used for determining the particle size of the roughage.

Inventering av förorenade områden enligt MIFO-fas 1 : Erasteel Kloster AB, Söderfors

Erasteel Kloster AB Söderfors have been commissioned by the county administrative board in Uppsala län to make an inventory of possible contaminations in theirs industrial- and landfill areas on the basis of the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency?s; ?Method of Surveying Contaminated Sites-phase 1? (MIFO-fas 1). The inventory starts with maps and archive studies, place visits and interviews, and finally a risk classification is done. A risk classification is a compilation of four categories; pollutant toxicity, contamination level, possible spreading condition of the pollutant, sensitivity and protection value of the environment. In this paper five partial areas (Holmen- and Jörsöområdet, Järnsvampsområdet, Ingsådeponin, Östra verken and Myrområdet) have been described from a historical point of view. Only parts of four areas have been risk classified (Holmen- and Jörsöområdet, Järnsvampsområdet, Ingsådeponin and Östra verken), due to that the other areas isn?t own by Erasteel Kloster AB. Holmen- and Jörsöområdet Holmen- and Jörsöområdet have during the entire activity time been carried out as the production core in the company.
