With the help of Mika Hannulas book Politics, Identity and Public Space: Critical Reflections in and through the Practices of Contemporary Art, I discuss how the stories I tell trough my project can be seen as suggestions for a possible reality. By adding my stories to the old ones (that create our society) I hope they, if only just the slightest, can influence on how we look at reality and on a possible reality.

This report considers how the design and planning of the city can influence and promote a sustainable development focused on the social dimension. My prior intention was to look in to how a landscape architect can work with social matters of sustainability such as integration, equality, safety and so on. Which are our most successful tools and capabilities? I started to work with the historical background in September 2008 and soon discovered the multitude of theories and definitions of sustainable development, international, national and local. In Sweden the local political level has been given a lot of responsibilities to achieve a more sustainable society.

Recently, the selections of ethical funds are increased; at the same time investors with social and moral preferences have increased in the capital market. There are currently debates on whether ethical funds perform better or worse than funds without ethical criteria. This also involves a vivid discussion on whether investors know about the consequences of investing in ethical funds. Therefore, this study involves theories about the rationality and decision theory, in addition to what mainly control the investment decisions. The study also discusses portfolio theory since this is one of the underlying theories behind fund management and its development.The purpose of this study is to explain if ethical limitations in the selection of securities affect risk and return in the fund portfolio.

Som ett led i de åtaganden som ställs på de länder som har undertecknat Kyotoprotokolletmåste landvisa kolbudgetar fastställas. För att fastlägga bra kolbudgetar ärdet viktigt att kunna göra bra uppskattningar av kolmängden inom olika geografiskaområden. Detta dels för att kunna uppskatta befintliga mängder och dels för att kunnapåvisa förändringar över tiden.Denna studie hade som huvudmål att uppskatta kolmängden i trädform inom ett 28,3hektar stort, hundraårigt skogsområde vid Norunda i Uppland. Den metod somanvändes medför relativt låga krav på utrustning och förkunskaper. Metoden byggerpå att trädens brösthöjdsdiameter, höjd och kronlängd mäts in inom ett antalmätplottar.

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskor har historisk sett haft till uppgift att vårda personer som skadats i strid. Ett arbetsområde för sjuksköterskor idag är att deltaga i insatser utomlands där de kan komma att vårda individer som skadats i strid. Att skadas i strid kan uppfattas som en traumatisk händelse som utmanar individens upplevelse av trygghet, tillit och hopp. Omvårdnadslitteratur belyser att det är viktigt att sjuksköterskor stärker upplevelsen av trygghet, tillit och hopp hos patienter.Syfte: Beskriva hur sjuksköterskor uppfattar att de stödjer en patients upplevelse av trygghet, tillit och hopp i det akuta omhändertagandet vid skada i strid.Metod: En empirisk studie med kvalitativ ansats. Datainsamlingen har genomförts med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer och data har bearbetats med en kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Upplevelsen av trygghet uppfattas av informanterna främjas av smärtlindring, information, säkerhet, kunskap, erfarenhet, strukturerat arbetssätt, lugn samt närhet och beröring.

Problem: When opening a newspaper today there is a good chance that the headlines have something to do with recent developments in the global climate debate. This development is forcing companies to take action. The problem for many companies, including Thule, is that they are unaware of the environmental work conducted throughout their value chain and also what they need to do to become green. Thule, a company with a strong focus on profitability and growth, will not make environmental issues a part of their core strategy unless it can be shown that economic incentives exist. With this thesis we will try to build a case that will help Thule, and also other companies, see the possibilities a green venture brings with it.

Det första Baselfördraget har kritiserats kraftigt för sin okänslighet för låntagares riskattribut. Empiriska undersökningar så som Arak, Corcoran 1996 visar hur låga risker hos kreditvärdiga aktörer passerar ouppmärksammade av banker. Hos obligationsmarknaden premieras dock de låga riskerna vilket speglas i lägre kreditkostnader för de kreditvärdiga aktörer som sökt sig dit. The reason why I choose the subject ?Warts on teats of Dairy Cows? was because the herd I work with has big problems with skin-complaint on teats and udder. So I found it interesting to try to find the reason why the cows look like they do and even to find a way to relieve the trouble. The examine work included both a literature research, an experimental test, concerning a comparison of different teat sprays and also an inquiry-research about the occurrence of warts in practical herds in order to collect as much facts as possible. Three companies, selling different types of teat disinfectants, were willing to sponsor the teat dipping experiment. The aim of the experiment was to see if any special disinfectant had more pronounced healing effects on teat warts. The date for the experiment was 18th December 2004 to 22nd January 2005, which was going to be 5 weeks.The experiment was carried out in the herd of Ola and Eskil Carlsson in Fjärlöv, Hässleholm. The three compared teat spray chemicals were; Nova Viri Sun, Nardosept, and BlockadeTM. These chemicals were compared to one control group, which teats were treated with the ordinary chemical normally used in the herd, i.e.

Inthis essay I have outlined differences in method and lecture planning between a eurhythmic and a music teacher, to be able to find out the answer to my research question - what a eurhythmic teacher can contribute to the school subject music.I chose an observation research where I observed a mixed class with children from fourth and fifth grade.

Föreliggande systematiska litteraturstudie syftade till att klarlägga vilka omvårdnadsbehov som föreligger hos patienter med typ 2-diabetes. Sammanlagt 15 vetenskapliga artiklar valdes ut via sökmotorn Electronic Library Information Navigator (ELIN), databasen Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health (CINAHL) samt sökmotorn och databasen för medicinska artiklar som drivs av United States National Library of Medicine (MEDLINE), för vidare granskning. Sökorden type 2 diabetes AND quality of life AND nurs* användes. Alla titlar lästes, om titeln verkade relevant för forskningsområdet lästes även abstraktet. Kvalitetsgranskning av artiklarna genomfördes efter granskningsmallar med 28 bedömningskriterier.

Det främre korsbandets uppgift är att förhindra att tibia glider ventralt i förhållande till femur vilket ger en instabil led vid skada. Ungefär 6000 personer skadar det främre korsbandet varje år i Sverige varav ungefär hälften genomgår en rekonstruktion. Vid rekonstruktion är det vanligast att ersätta korsbandet med transplantat från antingen patellarsenan eller hamstringssenan. Efter rekonstruktion genomgår patienten rehabilitering som bland annat innehåller rörlighetsträning och styrketräning för att återfå funktion. Syftet med studien var att kartlägga rehabiliteringsträningen efter en främre korsbandsrekonstruktion samt om rehabiliteringsträningen skiljer sig beroende på vilket transplantat som använts vid rekonstruktionen.

SammanfattningFörmågan till ständig utveckling och omställning är central när det gäller tillväxt både för företaget och för samhället. Denna kvalitativa studie består av en litteraturöversikt, en enkätundersökning, samt en fallstudie av ett framgångsrikt företag. Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur framgångsrika företag beaktar faktorer, som enligt forskning, har betydelse för framgångsrik rekrytering. Resultaten bygger på svar från enkätundersökningen som genomfördes med tolv framgångsrika företag i Jönköpings län med en omsättning på> 499 miljoner kronor, samt resultat från fallstudien i ett framgångsrikt företaget. Fallstudien omfattar analys av fallföretagets enkätsvar, en djupintervju, samt en dokumentanalys av fallföretagets rekryteringsdokument.

If we can identify and point out areas of improvement in the financial counselling, we hope to raise the question and contribute with an improved financial counselling. Another positive effect we are hoping for is to improve the situation for the investors whereas all parties benefit from an improved portfolio selection.This study is conducted through a qualitative case study, where we used a deductive approach and collected our data through personal interviews.The conclusion that emerges is that the financial counselling could potentially be improved if financial advisors improve their knowledge in portfolio theory.The originality shapes through the opportunity to investigate a specific bank and because of that an opportunity to examine a specific case more thoroughly was created. Our thesis contributes with opening La?nsfo?rsa?kringar?s and other banks? eyes to how their financial counselling could be improved through new knowledge in portfolio theory.

The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate the combination of bibliographic coupling and three hierarchical cluster analytic techniques: average, complete and single linkage. Bibliographic coupling is applied as a measure of similarity between recently published articles and the cluster techniques are used for the partition of a set of articles into subsets of articles with similar research focus. The field of information science is applied as the test arena and the selection of data, i.e., the article population to be partitioned, is based on a number of central journals. Methods of evaluation include both quantitative approaches as well as a qualitative one. For comparing the resulting partitions, adjusted Rand index is utilized and for the establishment of cluster coherence and isolation, measures of average normalized coupling strength is applied.
