This study focuses on work related factors which have an effect on the balance between peoples work and private/social life. Commonly discussed in the daily debate is the so called ?livspusslet?, the time puzzle. The question is: How do you balance the demands from work, family and society? A lot of peoples health and family relations suffers from a stressful situation at work.It?s not hard to figure out that the possible factors which could have an effect on the balance between peoples work and private/social life are many.

Bakgrund: Många patienter i palliativ vård rapporterar en minskad, eller förändrad, förmåga att känna smak och lukt. Smak-och luktförändringar (SoL-förändringar) kan innebära lidanden för den enskilde patienten, men kan även påverka näringsintag samt få negativa följder i det dagliga livet.Syfte: Syftet var att rapportera om cancerpatienters erfarenheter av smak- och luktförändringar och påverkan och hantering av dessa i det dagliga livet när de är i palliativ fas. Metod: Kvantitativ data samlades in från åtta deltagare, under tre mättillfällen per deltagare, via ett frågeformulär. Kvalitativ data beståendes av kommentarer till frågorna, redovisades som citat. Resultat: Det var fem huvudfynd som framkom i resultatet.

The Telecom industry is facing a paradigm shift, where the industry is converging with Internet technologies and the market is becoming more sophisticated. This results in more demanding customers, and the need for offering more content and services with a focus on usability for the end-users. The operators are starting to loose both their strong position and revenue in the Telecom industry, due to new technology and the fact that other actors are starting to enter the market, offering new content and services. In the end, the operators have two choices, to become bit-pipe providers, and only focusing on network management, or keeping the control over their networks. The latter would mean that they block other actors who are taking parts of their revenue, e.g.

The aim of this study was to explore the social background of the people convicted of drunkenness offence in the town of Ljungby between 1936 and 1947. Drunkenness offense was sentenced to those found drunk in public but also societys attempt to control the s subclass. This view was in contrast to the ideal of the well-behaved worker who also spread during the end of the last century. Based on information found in index cards for drunkenness offenses provided by Ljungbys temperance board this studie explores whether alcohol use changes in different social classes. By mapping the offender's profession, age, gender and housing situation, the study shows clear overrepresentation of working class men.

Bakgrund: Forskning har tenderat att fokusera på hur kosten påverkar människan och hur vi påverkas utav sömnen. Då det blir allt vanligare idag med problem som övervikt, diabetes, hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar som dels orsakas av raffinerade kolhydrater och dålig kosthållning, är det av intresse att få bättre förståelse för hur vi påverkas av kosten vi äter. På senare tid har forskning pekat på att kortare- och försämrad sömn är kopplat till samma problem som dålig kosthållning kan leda till. Det kan därför vara av intresse att undersöka kopplingen mellan kost och sömn.Syfte: Med en systematisk litteratursökning ta reda på dietära kolhydraters påverkan på sömn och sömnkvalitet hos människan.Metod: I studien gjordes en systematisk litteratursökning för att granska vilken forskning som i dagsläget finns gjord på sambandet mellan kolhydrater och sömn. Genom sökord och begränsningar fann man 9 artiklar som till slut granskades noga och sammanställdes i jämförelse till varandra.Resultat: Resultaten från artiklarna tyder på att ett högre totalt intag av kalorier främst från kolhydrater kan minska sömndurationen.

ABSTRACTBackground: Children and adolescents growing up in families where parents have serious problems are exposed to an increased risk of developing poor mental or physical health themselves. In a support group work they can meet other children in the same situation, receive help and support to process their emotions and manage their everyday life.Aim: To investigate if support group work at Trappan can reduce the psychological problems load and increase the experience of life quality, hopefulness and optimism in children and adolescents growing up in families where either addiction or mental illness occur in one of the parents. The purpose was also to investigate if there was any difference between these both child groups regarding psychological problems load, experience of life quality, hopefulness and optimism before and after support group participation.Method: Questionnaire study on children and adolescents of parents with addiction or mental illness. The children participated in support group work at Trappan. The measuring?s were conducted before and after support group participation.Results: In both groups an increased life quality in connection to finished support group participation was observed.

Sökord som valdes var palliative AND relative* AND home för insamling av vetenskapliga artiklar via fulltextdatabasen Electronic Library Information Navigator (ELIN) och databasen Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health (CINAHL). En systematisk kvalitetsgranskning gjordes på 15 vetenskapliga artiklar enligt modifierade kvalitetsgranskningsmallar efter förlagor av Forsberg och Wengström (2003) och Willman et al. (2006) och på basen av kvalitetsresultatet evidensgraderades de anhörigas till familjemedlem i det palliativa skedets omvårdnadsbehov. Tre omvårdnadsbehov som vilade på starkt vetenskapligt underlag framkom: att få professionellt stöd, att få avlastning som anhörig eller anhörigvårdare till en familjemedlem som vårdas palliativt i hemmet och att få information och undervisning om familjemedlemmens situation.

Aim: The aim of this thesis is to through a survey, gain information about the tenant owners knowledge concerning their own and the real estate agents rights and obligations, this to elucidate one of the factors we think play a big part in the general publics dissatisfaction about the real estate agents and the negative picture painted of them in media today. By throwing light on the assumed lack of knowledge in this area we hope to contribute to improve the information communicated to the customers so that they can feel safer when consulting a real estate agent in this matter.Our main question in this thesis is: How much knowledge does tenant owners and tenant owners to be have concerning the division of responsibilities when it comes to selling and buying a tenant owned flat and what problems can the presumed lack of knowledge in this area lead to?Method: We have used a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. Data has been collected through a survey which we have put together and analyzed both based on the results we got from the survey but also based on the reactions we received from the participants. The results are presented both in text and in diagrams.Result & Conclusions: The results we got from the survey indicate that the knowledge among our participants is much worse than what would be desired.

Interactive media is constantly increasing in our surroundings and with the innovation of touch-screens, two-way communication with screens has become part of our daily life. Still, this well known way of process information is not often seen in the in-store environment of grocery retailing. Here, interactive media is an unestablished field where empirical studies are invisible within the academic world. The lack of knowledge in which effect interactive digital signage has is one of the barriers of investing in this marketing solution in-store. The main purpose of this study is to examine and describe the effects of interactive digital signage at shelf within grocery retailing.

Ett balanserat aktivitetsmönster anses inom arbetsterapi vara en viktig komponent för att uppleva hälsa i aktivitet. Syftet med studien var att beskriva och förstå aktivitetsmönster och dess relation till upplevd tillfredsställelse med livet i allmänhet. Undersökningsgruppen rekryterades från en region i norra Sverige och bestod av 40 personer med diagnosen seropositiv reumatoid artrit. Datainsamlingen genomfördes med instrumenten Occupational Questionair, Life Satisfaction Questionnaire och FRIES index, bearbetades i dataprogram och redovisades med deskriptiv statistik. Resultatet visade att undersökningsgruppen hade en likartad fördelning av sina aktiviteter under dygnet.

The feed is a major cost in the dairy production and there is a constant interest in findingalternative cost-effective feedstuffs. Competitive dairy producers have to seek ways todecrease their production costs and the pursuit of cost-effective feed rations contributesto lower costs of production. An interesting group of protein concentrates are rapeseedproducts like ExPro (heat treated rapeseed) which have during the autumn 2008 andspring 2009 been very favourable compared to other protein feeds.This study focuses on the feedstuff products ExPro and Raps-Drank 60/40 (rapeseeddistillersgrain). The potential use of ExPro in dairy cow feed rations are also explored.ExPro is a well known feedstuff but Raps-Drank 60/40 is a relatively new product andnot known for many farmers.A field study on the use of rapeseed products was made on a limited number of dairyfarms. The main purpose was to study the management of the feedstuffs on the farms.The Farms were selected in cooperation with two local extension services.

Betting under ordered forms has been around for a long time, but the recent increase in Internet betting and the large sums of money that are now involved makes it even more important for betting companies to have correct odds. The purpose of the essay is to calculate probabilities for outcomes of football games using a statistical model and to see if you can find better odds than a betting company.The data contains the 380 games from the 2004/2005 season and the variables form, head-to-heads, league position, points, home/away, average attendance, promoted team, distance and final league position from previous season. After performing an ordered probit regression we only find the variable ?form of the away team? to be significant at the 5 % level. We suspect the presence of multicollinearity and perform a VIF-test which confirms this. To fix this problem we perform a second ordered probit regression where a number of variables are combined to index variables. In the second regression we once again find only one significant variable.

AimThe aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of MotVikt´s obesity-treatment program on eight severely obese subjects, concerning Body Mass Index, Waist-Circumference and Weight after three and a half months and Sense of Coherence, Body Image and Self-experienced Health after three months. The question in focus was: Did MotVikt´s obesity-treatment program have any effects concerning the factors mentioned above?MetodInformation was collected with questionnaires that were filled out by the eight subjects, three men and five women, who participated in MotVikt´s last round of treatment. Data concerning waist-circumference, weight and BMI were provided by MotVikt. The questionnaires that were used to get information about Sense of Coherence, Body Image and Self-Experienced health were SOC-29, BSQ and IQOLA SF-36.ResultatThe average BMI in the group has decreased with 2,9 kg/m2, from 39,7 till 36,8.

CSR är frivilliga åtaganden och handlar om hur man ser sig själv som en aktör i samhället. Definitionen kring CSR har länge diskuterats runt om i världen och det finns ingen generell överenskommelse. Detta leder till att kraven är tvetydliga och det finns många olika modeller för hur man ska lyckas med ett bra CSR-arbete. Ett sätt att öka tydligheten är att använda gemensamma krav för innebörden av ett CSR-arbete. Betygsystem är en annan möjlighet att förbättra strukturen och möjliggöra ett enklare samspel mellan företag och alla dess intressenter.
