AbstractBackground: Inflammatory bowel disease involves major changes where psychological and physical stress becomes a part of ones daily life. The ability to adapt and cope well with the situation, increases the chances of feeling satisfied with life. There are various management strategies that people with IBD use to cope with their daily life.Aim: The aim of this study is to describe strategies that people with inflammatory bowel disease use to manage their daily lives. A further purpose is to describe the study group in the included articles.Method: A descriptive literature review. This study is based on 12 scientific articles, searched in the databases Cinahl and Pubmed.

Bilingualism and multilingualism have always existed in Sweden. Preschool teachers must provide a stimulating pedagogical environment adapted to bilingual children.The purpose of this examination is to study the perspective of the preschool teachers and their knowledge regarding bilingual and multilingual children. Their knowledge will be examined related to their language experiences. I hope to find similarities and dissimilarities in the preschool teachers? opinions concerning teaching and learning what they actually do when they are teaching.My study is based on qualitative method, based on interviews and repeated observations.

Title: Pricing of IPO:s on the Swedish stock market Authors: Mikael Gustavsson Martin Kvist Henrik Wannberg Tutor: Anders Hederstierna Problem: There are certain sets of problems for underwriters when they are pricing potential stock-exchange companies. The problem partly consists of estimating the demand at an IPO and also to accurately value the business in comparison to the market. To set the price per share is problematic, since the company carrying out the public offering wants to optimise the amount of capital at the same time as they want the share to be subscribed in full. If the IPO would not be carried out, it could cause harm to the position of the underwriters. Purpose: To investigate whether underpricing exists associated with IPO:s on the Swedish market during the period 1995-1999. Method: The collection of data has been achieved by means of: Internet, E-mail and telephone calls. Conclusions: We have reached the conclusion that oversubscribing in comparison to the return at an IPO has an average growth of 3.3 per cent the first day, on every occasion of oversubscribing. For the studied population, including 138 initial public offerings, the average market value rise is 15 per cent the first day. When we made our calculations, adjustments have been made for the general index of Affärsvärlden (AFGX).

Studien avser att studera effekterna av arbetsplatsförlagd fysisk träning 2 x 60 minuter/vecka i 7 veckor hos personer med stillasittande arbete påVO2max, rörlighet, uthållighetsstyrka och kroppssammansättning. Vi använder oss av en kvantitativ metod som består av datainsamling genom tester före och efter träningsperioden för både interventionsgruppen (n=25) och kontrollgruppen (n=11). Resultaten visar på signifikanta skillnader hos interventionsgruppen på variablerna VO2max (p=0), visceralt fett (p=0,001), fettmassa (p=0,001), vikt (p=0.006), Body Mass Index, BMI (p=0,005), uthållighetsstyrka enligt Sörensens isometriska uthållighetstest (SIU) (p=0) och Trunk Curl Static Endurance test (TCST) (p=0,045), rörlighet i halsrygg (p=0,010) och rörlighet i hamstringsmuskulatur via Sit and reach test (p=0).  Inga skillnader ses i blodtryck och, skelettmuskelmassa i armar, bål och ben. Inga signifikanta skillnader ses hos kontrollgruppen oavsett variabel. Slutsatser av studien är att man kan se effekter genom denna typ av intervention på flera olika variabler och förslag till framtida forskning är att försöka utesluta samverkan av andra faktorer för att ge en mer exakt bild av den fysiska träningens effekter på arbetsplatsförlagd träning..

This is a qualitative study aiming to examine peoples? experiences when retiring. In that purpose a criteria based sample has been used, participants have been asked in that they fulfilled the criteria?s to be a retiree within the age of 65 to 71 years of age. The reason of the age criteria was that the experiences should not be so far away in time.

The purpose of this essay is to review the Swedish international development cooperation carried out by Sida to control whether the implementation of the international aid is compatible with the policy. There are a lot of different ways to implement the economic aid that are being used by the donors today. The Swedish method has since the 1960s mainly been focused on attempting to diminish the poverty in the world. In the latest time another goal has been added, that is a focus on supporting the civil rights. This essay will be concentrated to aim on what kind of countries receiving aid from Sweden, and exactly why these countries are being chosen.The main question of this essay is: What countries are receiving the international developing aid, and how can this distribution be understood? To answer the main question there are two themes in the essay:? What kind of countries is supposed to receive developing aid from Sweden according to the policy?? The purpose of this essay ("Gateway to the Past. An archaeological quality controlled subject gateway as a resource for higher education in Lund") is to examine how a quality controlled subject gateway could increase the quality of the information supply for the Department of Archaeology and Ancient History at Lund University. The essay gives a brief background to subject gateways and also describes the Department and its subjects (prehistoric archaeology, medieval archaeology, osteology and classical studies) . The essay consists of a questionnaire distributed to parts of the target group as well as an investigation of three particular subject gateways: NordArk, ARGE and The Labyrinth. The essay also contains an exposition of how archaeologists seek information, of the structure of the archaeological subjects and of classification systems for quality controlled subject gateways.

The problem with keeping horses with to little social contact has come to attention in a new regulation that comes into effect august 1st 2009. It states that horses? need of social contact has to be accommodated. That?s why it feels important to try to survey the horse owners? awareness about the regulation and its present fulfillment.

The aim of this study is to enlighten how todays working environment affects young individuals descriptions of how to reach success in work life, now often titled as ?career?. Our purpose has been to analyse how the term career is constituted discursively among young people in jobs characterized by flexibility. The study is based on six qualitative interviews with young adults in the media industry, all between 20-30 years old. By utilising a Foucaultdian discourse analysis we want to expose how the competing and dominating discourses, that our interviewees? statements are based on, can be associated with a wider social context.  The study reveals that our interviewees describe career in two separate ways, both positively and negatively.

Syfte: Utvärdera en sömnskola, utformad enligt en modell med grund i KBT. Metod: 12 personer med insomnia deltog i studien. Sömnskolan omfattade 6 grupptillfällen under 10 veckor.

Syftet för studien är att utifrån ett återhämtningsperspektiv ta reda på hur personal inom psykiatrin i Australien jobbar för att möjliggöra en återhämtning hos klienten samt vilka krav detta ställer på personalen. Till detta har formulerats fyra stycken frågeställningar som lyder;1) Vad lägger personalen själv i begreppet återhämtning? 2) Hur ser personalen på återhämtningens möjligheter och begränsningar för klienten? 3) Vilka möjligheter och begränsningar ser personalen med deras egen del i återhämtningsprocessen? 4) Hur ser personalen på professionella gränser?Studien har utförts i Sydney, Australien där fem stycken professionella har intervjuats som samtliga jobbar inom en organisation med ett tydligt återhämtningsfokus för klienter med svåra psykiska sjukdomar. Resultatet visar att personalen ser stora möjligheter med återhämtningsprocessen, både för klientens liv samt den professionella yrkesrollen. Samtidigt visar resultatet att personalens syn på professionella gränser är mycket genomtänkt och tydlig, inte lika komplex som forskning på området tidigare har beskrivit.

Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturöversikt var att beskriva vad det kunde finnas för faktorer som påverkade genomförandet av ett samtal med patienter ur ett tvärkulturellt perspektiv. Metod: Studien genomfördes som en litteraturöversikt. Artiklar söktes ur databaserna: PubMed, CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature), Wiley online library samt Science Direct. Resultat: Resultatet visade på att kommunikation i det tvärkulturella mötet var beroende av en kulturell kompetens hos hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalen. Vidare visade resultatet på brister i hälso- och sjukvårdspersonalens kulturella kompetens, samt att det i sjuksköterskeutbildningen saknades specifik utbildning inom kulturell kompetens.

Målet med detta projekt har varit att, till en ny digital handelsplats, ge ett förslag till en implementation av MongoDB, med tillhörande REST-API, för hantering av användar- och annonsdata. Förslaget ska innebära en prestandaeffektiv och säker databas med möjlighet till framtida skalning, tillsammans med ett API för klientkommunikation med hantering av relevanta förfrågningar mot databasen. Prestandan av databasen handlar främst om att i förslaget ange vilka olika former av indexering som bör implementeras, tillsammans med ett förslag till relationsmodell, och vad detta ger för positiva och negativa effekter på systemet. Denna prestanda bör även återspeglas till största möjliga mån i API:et genom att utnyttja den indexering som väljs på bästa sätt. Säkerhet och skalning diskuteras under arbetet för att ge ett förslag på hur detta bäst hanteras för minimera riskerna för dataförlust, samt minimera nedtiden av databasen vid en eventuell framtida skalning.

Previous research indicates that the academic journal in many cases is the most valuable and important source of information in scientific work. The aim of this study is to investigate students usage of academic journals in comparison to their usage of other document types, as illustrated by the citations given in LIS students master theses 1999-2001. By comparing the students use of LIS journals with the use of LIS journals by international scholars we also wish to examine whether students and scholars use the same journals in their work.
