Syftet med vår litteraturstudie var att beskriva hur personer upplever att leva med dialysbe-handling. Vi vill öka kunskapen om dessa personers upplevelser eftersom de lever med en långvarig behandling till följd av en kronisk sjukdom. Vi använde oss av kvalitativ innehålls-analys med manifest ansats när vi analyserade det material som ingår i vår studie. Totalt granskade vi åtta vetenskapliga artiklar som beskriver känslor hos vuxna personer som ge-nomgår dialysbehandling till följd av kronisk njursjukdom. Analysen resulterade i fyra kate-gorier: Förändrade eller nya relationers betydelse för den sjuke, trötthet och utmattning kan innebära fysiska och psykiska förändringar, sjukdomsinsikt kan bringa hopp inför framtiden och anpassning så att livet kan gå vidare, den krävande behandlingen kan ge en känsla av me-ningslöshet eller bundenhet och beroende.

Being a patient in intensive care can be experienced terrifying. Studies have demonstrated the link between unpleasant memories of hospitalization in the ICU and the development of posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, and perception of quality of life in its aftermath. Placed on a ventilator, the patient is exposed to multiple invasive procedures. The aim was to describe critical care patients' experience of being intubated or tracheostomated. Method: Literature review using conventional content analysis.

Thus UFO-Sverige seeks to construct an alternative scientific identity in contrast to adversaries on both sides, each unwilling to give the UFO phenomenon any further examination. Following the work of Tomas Gieryn's sociological grip on questions of epistemology, especially concerning the social boundaries of science from other cultural categories through what has been labelled as epistemic boundary work, during which proponents of a particular field aim to achieve epistemic authority and thus the legitimate right to define what is and what is not science, I seek to analyze how questions of science and legitimacy are actualized in an intellectual environment or culture not broadly accepted as scientific.

Hermansson, R. Vad ska jag göra nu då? En litteraturstudie om sjuksköterskans psykiska reaktioner på kritiska händelser. Examensarbete i omvårdnad 10 Malmö högskola: Hälsa och samhälle, Utbildningsområde: omvårdnad, 2006. Denna litteraturstudies syfte var att belysa sjuksköterskans psykiska reaktioner kritiska händelser. Frågeställningarna var: vad upplever sjuksköterskan som kritisk händelse? Hur reagerar sjuksköterskan inför/vid kritiska händelser? faktorer påverkar sjuksköterskans reaktioner? Hur påverkar tillfälle till reflektion sjuksköterskan? Databaserna som studierna söktes i är Cochrane Library, PubMed, ISI (Social Citation Index) och i Cinahl.

Hedgefonder är ett relativt nytt investeringsalternativ vars målsättning är att leverera positiv avkastning, i de flesta fall till låg risk, oberoende av marknadens utveckling. Med ledning av portföljvalsteorin och CAPM, som är en modell för att utvärdera kapitaltillgångar, ska uppsatsen besvara om hedgefonder lyckas med sitt mål. Vi fokuserar på perioden mars 2000 till april 2006, som inkluderar både börsnedgång och uppgång, för att kunna studera om hedgefonderna lyckas med målsättningen att generera positiv avkastning oavsett börsklimat.Till skillnad från de flesta andra studier som syftar till att utvärdera hedgefonders prestationer i jämförelse med traditionella fonder kommer jämförelsen göras i förhållande till SIX Return Index, SIXRX. SIXRX är ett marknadsindex som speglar kursutvecklingen för bolag på börsens gamla A- samt O-lista och som inkluderar återinvesterad utdelning. Purpose/Aim: In the information and communication technology society (ICT) we live in today it is easy to feel that we are constantly expected to be available. The daily contact with the Internet and the use of cell phones has changed our way to communicate. With this in mind in combination with the increased stress among young adults my aim is to investigate how young adults, aged 23-26 years, experience to be constantly connected and available through the Internet and the cell phone. What are their opinions, attitudes and feelings about what this entails in their lives?Material/Method: The essay is based on four focus group interviews with sixteen students from Uppsala University aged 23-26, two groups consisting of women and two groups consisting of men.

Voltage sag indices are a way of quantifying the performance of the power supply, as far as voltage sags are concerned. Indices can be defined for individual events, for individual sites, and for a whole system. A standard method for single-event methods is part of IEC standard 61000-4-30.This thesis emphasizes the importance of voltage sag indices and different methods for calculating three-phase voltage sag characteristics. Three-phase events measured in a medium network voltage over period of one month were analyzed, results examined and statistically evaluated. An algorithm for calculating voltage sag characteristics and indices was created in Matlab.

This Masters thesis is performed at the request of the National Board of Forestry in order to investigate how the Swedish municipalities use their forests. The study is of general character with emphasis on the social values of the forests. The municipalities? purposes with their forests have varied over time, but lately the social aspects have been recognised as interesting. The social values of the forests can be defined as the values from the forests that contribute to the wealth of humans. This has socio-economic importance for the municipalities. The study was performed as a quantitative questionnaire survey, complemented with qualitative interviews.

The aim of this paper is to study the long-term effects of stuttering treatment according to the Lidcombe Program in Sweden and to answer questions whether underlying factors may have affected the treatment results. Participants were seven children, one girl and six boys aged 7:10-14:2, who all completed Stage 1 of the program approximately 2-7 years ago.The children were video recorded during a conversation with one of the authors and while reading aloud. Before the recording, their parents estimated the level of stuttering according to a Severity Range (SR) Scale. The evaluations were used as reference for determining whether the recordings were representative for the children´s current speech fluency. Proportions of stuttered syllables (%SS) were calculated from the video recorded material and compared with the proportions of stuttered syllables (%SS) at the time when the first stage of the program was initiated.The results showed that the Lidcombe Program had a significant (z=-2.37, p=0.02) long term effect on stuttering treatment for the participants in this study.

Om marknader är effektiva bör det inte vara möjligt att generera överavkastning och anomalier som kan utnyttjas som investeringsstrategier borde inte förekomma. Studiens syfte är att undersöka förekomsten av anomalier, mer precist: P/E-talseffekten, januarieffekten och julieffekten, under perioden 2000-2010. Forskningsprocessen är av deduktiv karaktär, då redan befintliga teoriers riktighet testas med hjälp utav empiriska observationer. Vidare har vi vid studiens genomförande tillämpat ett kvantitativt tillvägagångssätt.Studien visar inte på några statistiskt signifikanta resultat då det gäller förekomsten av P/E-talseffekten.

What kind of relationship do the men hope to establish and what qualities and attribute do they look for in women? Are there any notable differences and similarities regarding our findings of ideals and the ones in previous research?Method: In order to answer our questions we chose 100 advertisements made by men in the age 18 to 25. To analyse the advertisements we used a qualitative content analysis, however we have some quantitative elements.Main results: The men in our study are searching for love on Spray Date and usually describe themselves as nice, cheerful, decent guys with good sense of humour. Although, spare-time interests and activities are what the men mainly focus on. Their interests are broad and all sorts of combinations occur why it is difficult to place the men in categories.

SAMMANDRAGHistorisk Simulation, Delta-Normal och RiskMetrics prestation utvärderas med hjälp av Kupiecs Backtest. Value at Risk (VaR) beräknas med tre olika konfidensnivåer utifrån Affärsvärldens Generalindex och HSBC kopparindex. Utifrån överträdelser från verkligt utfall undersöks vilken VaR-modell som estimerar marknadsrisken bäst. VaR-modellernas prestation jämförs, och i analysen utreds hur konfidensnivå och tillgångars egenskaper påverkar VaR-modellernas prestation. Resultaten visar att Historisk Simulation presterar bättre än Delta-Normal och RiskMetrics på den högsta konfidensnivån vilket troligtvis beror på att RiskMetrics och Delta-Normal antar normalfördelning.

This master?s thesis focus on Dewey Decimal Classification during the period 1932 to 2011, where the classification of the psychological knowledge domain is analyzed and discussed. In the light of the recent swedish switch from the swedish classification system SAB to DDC, this research area deserves prominence. The aim of this study is to investigate how DDC represents the historical development of the psychology subject with its underlying epistemology, to identify and analyze values and prejudice, and to analyze problems with DDC?s classification of psychology in relation to three other classification systems.
