Syftet med studien var att ta reda på gymnasieelevers attityder gentemot äldre gällande ensamhet och socialt nätverk samt undersöka om elevernas erfarenheter påverkade deras attityder i någon riktning. Metoden för genomförandet var enkäter. Studien visar att eleverna i undersökningen inte har negativa attityder gentemot äldre överlag, utan de tenderar att vara mer positiva än negativa samt visar resultatet på att de uppfattar äldre som olika individer med olika egenskaper, inte som en enda homogen grupp. Gällande elevernas erfarenheter kunde vi inte finna ett uppenbart samband mellan dessa och attityderna..

Det förekommer idag främst två olika huvudkategorier när det gäller analys av aktier, nämligen fundamental och teknisk analys. Den tekniska analysen, syftar till att utifrån ett företags historiska kursutveckling, söka prognostisera en framtida trend för aktien. Grundtanken är att människor i grupp tänker och agerar på liknande sätt när de befinner sig i en viss situation och att dessa gruppbeteenden resulterar i mönster, som den teknisk aanalytikern menar går att tolka. Tekniken sträcker sig tillbaka till 1800-talet och användsflitigt idag av såväl mindre som större investerare och aktörer på de finansiella marknaderna.En av många tekniker inom teknisk analys fokuserar på glidande medelvärden av olika längder och kombinationer. Enligt teorin uppstår köp- respektive säljsignaler när dessamedelvärden korsar varandra.

Beredskapsenheten på länsstyrelsen i Värmland driver ett projekt om risk och sårbarhetsanalyser i länet som benämns ?Säkerhet i Värmland?. Detta examensarbete studerar skogsbränder utifrån ett riskperspektiv och är ett led i projektet. Målen med studien är att åstadkomma en riskmodell för skogsbränder som kan användas vid planering på lokal- och regional nivå i samhället. Studien delas upp i två delar.

Caran has a strong belief that women leaders affect the financial profitability positive. Since women leaders are intangible resources it is very difficult to calculate its exact value. The authors found that one of their measurement methods can’t be used to calculate the value of women leaders. The other measurement method can calculate significance between women and men leaders and provides an index to be compared to other groups. But there is no prove that women are better creating value than their men colleagues, the figures indicate that women add more value due to their lower wages.

SEB Merchant Banking provides to its institutional customers a true market neutral product called Dynamic Manager Alpha (DMA). The DMA is constructed by a long position in an exceptionally well performing mutual fund and a beta adjusted short position in an appropriate index. The key to making the product market neutral is adjusting with the correct beta, since the beta changes, it is very important to have a good model for predicting beta in the future.This master thesis begins with describing what beta is in a CAPM sense. It then continues with recognizing the so called ?Two Beta Trap?, which separates two kinds of beta.

Bakgrund: I Sverige ställer lagen högre krav på de bedömningar som görs av arbetsförmåga än vad som kan genomföras med dagens befintliga bedömningsinstrument. I samband med att begreppet arbetsförmåga började användas växte WAI (Work Ability Index) fram och började användas i Finland under 1980-talet. WAI används på både grupp- och individnivå för att bedöma befintlig och framtida arbetsförmåga i relation till nuvarande arbete. Syfte: Att undersöka vilken betydelse WAI har i Finland för att identifiera tidiga tecken på ohälsa hos arbetstagare samt hur resultatet kan användas i utformandet av insatser/interventioner. Metod: För att kunna ta del av upplevelser kring användandet av WAI genomfördes sex intervjuer med personal inom den privata företagshälsovården i Finland.

Background: The Swedish population is aging [1] and malnutrition is a common problem among elderly people [2]. A method called food registration is used to monitor the patients? nutritional intake, with the purpose of reducing the risk of patients deteriorating in nutritional status during hospitalisation. However, the current method is not satisfactory and many food registration lists are incomplete. [3-6] Thus, patients do not receive a qualitative nutritional care since the assessment of the patients? nutritional status is based on incomplete documentation.Purpose: The purpose of this master thesis is to increase the quality in the nutrition monitoring process in the geriatric units B72 and B74 at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge, Sweden.

In this survey I have been trying to find out which factors influence the students? choice of instrument. I hope to, through the results, gain knowledge about how to reach interested students in my future work as a trombone educator.I have let 15 students that have played trombone in the County Music Academy one to three years, answer my inquiry concerning their choice of instrument. The students? parents were also asked to give an explanation to what they think made their child play the trombone and whether they tried to influence their child in the choice of instrument.

The purpose of this qualitative thesis is to describe and analyse the implementation of an education system in the newly independent state, Timor Leste. One question to be discussed is whether an emergency phase is still going on in the development of a functioning school system, or if Timor Leste already reached a capacity building phase? Via the participant's answers in field observations and interviews, the study analyses the clashes between generations, social classes and different levels in relation to the choice of Portuguese as an official language and the international environment in the country. Ett av de mål som sattes upp i och med Europeiska Unionens 20-20-20-paket rör effektivisering i samhället. Då bostadssektorn står för en stor del av Sveriges energianvändning kan stora förbättringar göras där. För att kunna se om genomförda åtgärder ger det önskade resultatet måste någon form av uppföljning ske. Oavsett vilken metod som väljs för uppföljning är det av stor vikt hur baslinjen, dvs. energianvändningen innan åtgärderna genomförs, bestäms.

This paper is based on observations made in the classroom, interviews and studies ofliterature.The observations that I made during my practical training period made me believethat pupils with writing and reading problems succeeded more often with the methodsof teaching used in media education than with more traditional teaching methods.Through this study I hope to specify and define the factors that were the reasons for this. In doing so I wanted to show that you could adapt the teaching methods to reach more pupils with different kinds of learning styles.I have come to the conclusion that the following factors made the pupils with writing and reading problems succeed more often in subjects related to media education:Variety, time spent, the pupils? interests and the equipment used..

This study was performed in order to investigate the difficulty in diagnosing retrobulbar disease with ultrasound. A retrospective study was accomplished to investigate the use of ultrasound in patients with suspected retrobulbar problems, and how often the examination is diagnostic. The computer based patient files, at the University of Agricultural Science in Uppsala, were searched for dogs with suspected retrobulbar disease. During 1999-01-01-2004-04-14, 14 patients fulfilling the search criteria were found. The patient records were studied, and the written reports from the ultrasound examinations were compared with the printed pictures from the examinations.

Through a case study at an IT company we have attempted to ascertain how a company's organizational culture affects its designers' way of working. By examining what ?type? of designers the employees are and how this is reflected in their work, we hope to have correctly determined what their organizational culture looks like and thereby have achieved a plausible result in our study.Aside from two interviews with the company's CEO, we also performed eight observations at the company, where we tried to blend in with the employees, to better determine their way of working together.We have found that the designers' trust in their own instincts has led them to rarely act on feedback from clients ? they only pick out the proposals which have a ?mainstream? potential. We have also discovered that their design approach is something they don't feel inclined to discuss amongst themselves. As it is often ?indescribable?, they go with their intuition and unspoken design conventions..

Our Bachelor?s Thesies has been performed in co-operation with Cellplast Direkt AB inLaholm. Our task was to develop a construction that cuts gussets to ceiling disposition as isused to isolation.Our goal with our construction was to increase the degree of automation so that theproductivity increased and also meet the market which is getting tougher and tougher due tothe future business cycle.Cellplast Direkt gave us free hands in order to enable new ideas. A pair different principleproposal was developed and prepared to a final structure.The Bachelor?s Thesies resulted in one PLC - governed machine with three engines that runthree different moves, wich does that the degree of automation increases and the risk forerrors decreases.We have developed a complete production bases to Cellplast Direkt and our hope is that thecompany comes to produce the machine in the future..
