Tre parker i Höganäs : bevara och förnya
The purpose of this master dissertation is to show an example of how to renovate three different parks in an area of national interest in Höganäs, Sweden aiming to deal with their heritage value as well as making them attractive to today?s user. The question formulation can be described as following: How can i as a landscape architect renovate parks with different characters conserving their existing qualities. certain building or environment can get a protection as a notable building if it contains certainvalues. These values are established by a certain category of people from the cultural sector. These people use established criterions to define the cultural value of the object. The objects canbe evaluated differently depending on who has done the evaluation. The people who protect thecultural environment and choose which buildings that are to be defining as notable buildingsoften uses a special model to characterise the different cultural values. This model is produced bya man called Axel Unnerbäck.

To investigate the importance of cultural objects theories by Ivo Maroevi?, Annette Weiner, and Igor Kopytoff was applied. The survey shows that stewardship of cultural heritage at Uppsala student nations is poor and in need of reform.
Kulturarvsf?rmedlingens v?g genom ett sekel i turismhistorien. En studie av V?stkustens turistpublikationer
In this essay I investigate how prehistoric cultural environments are portrayed in tourist publications. Through discourse analysis I aim to find clues on how cultural heritage is discussed and represented in existing media. I also investigate how the available media is affected by the tourist industry and its commercial motives. In recent portrayals of cultural heritage sites, there has been less information about the underlying history and other values have taken its place. Discourse about immaterial cultural heritage has not been present in tourist brochures from the 20th century but has been introduced in recent years while older publications discuss the role of our cultural heritage as essential components in our current society.

KULTURV?RD & CIRKUL?R EKONOMI Att skydda befintlig bebyggelse och fr?mja en h?llbar utveckling i fysisk planering
This paper examines the opportunities and challenges of integrating conservation practice and the circular economy into practical planning processes. In recent years, the discussion of circular economy and its relevance in the sustainability debate has intensified. According to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, the transition to a circular economy is crucial to achieving the national and international environmental and climate goals as well as the global goals in Agenda 2030. Parallel to this, there is a long established heritage discourse that emphasizes the importance of preserving buildings and cultural environments as part of our cultural heritage. These two discourses have common goals, but they differ in how they present their respective arguments.

Kommunala kulturmiljöprogram : strategiska planeringsunderlag för landskapsanalys, kulturhistorisk värdering och utveckling av kulturmiljöer
In 1999 the Swedish Parliament decided about 15 environmental goals aimed to be achieved in time for the next generation. For example physical social planning must be based on programs and strategies how cultural-historical values has been attended, so called programs of cultural heritage. By law the Swedish municipalities are responsible for reaching these goals by creating program of cultural heritage. But only a few of the municipalities have these programs, meaning that many municipalities need to create programs of cultural heritage in the next five years. The aim of this report is to present a model of analysis on programs of cultural heritage in municipalities for preservation and development of cultural environments. By testing the model on the municipalities of Osby and Tomelilla methods on how to create a new program of cultural heritage or how to complete existing documents are formulated. One of the conclusions is that one document, program of cultural heritage, functions as landscape analysis, model of cultural valuation and strategy of developing cultural values.
Folk och minnen i Glaskogen - En analys av ?verlevnadsfaktorer hos s?gner, folklore och folkminnen

folklore and local history. What is remembered, how it is remembered and why it is
remembered. Sprung from the older collections of folklore within the selected area - which is
Glaskogen in western V?rmland - the purpose is to look at different types of memorizing and
how it can work. The purpose is also to analyze some of the folklore from Glaskogen via
narrative analyzing methods of Palmenfelt, Labov and Young, and also to understand
Glaskogen from a cultural heritage perspective, looking at the valuation process and attitude
towards the immaterial heritage.
?dn?ris?: att b?ja st?nger till t?ltk?ta
This thesis is my exploration of the immaterial heritage that is the craft of bending of ?dn?ris?
out of spruce. It?s a broken tradition that is scarcely described, mainly through Yngve Ryd?s
report T?ltk?tor (1999) that contains interviews with two knowledge keepers, Nilas Tuolja
and Johan Rassa. Yngve Ryd?s report went against the earlier opinion by the mid 20th century
ethnologist Ernst Manker who claimed that they were only made exclusively out of mountain
birch that has curved growth.
As a background, I discuss the special importance of heritage conservation, both material and
immaterial, in a S?mi context as being an indigenous people.

Vad innebär digitalisering av kulturarvet? En ideologianalys av tre svenska digitaliseringsprojekt
This Masters Degree thesis aims at giving an answer to what underlying ideologies are at work in digitizing our cultural heritage. Other questions to be answered are who are benefiting from a digitized cultural heritage and who are not, and what different opinions about digitizing our cultural heritage can be identified. Two studies are made in this thesis, one of Swedish political documents that concern digitizing our cultural heritage, libraries, museums and archives, and the other one is a study of documentation of three Swedish digitizing projects. In the first study three different, but closely associated ideologies are identified, namely a preserving, b giving access and c a mixture of both, and these are shown in a model. In the second study this model is then used to identify the ideologies of one project from each sector of the so called ABM-sector Archives, Libraries and Museums.

Det queera kulturarvet Kulturarvssektorns arbete med inkludering av hbtqi-personer
Since 1979 when homosexuality no longer was classified as an illness the Swedish authorities have been working on increasing the LGBTQ community?s rights and living conditions. How is this work reflected within the Cultural heritage sector, especially since the adoption of Agenda 2030.
The purpose and goal of this study is to examine whether the cultural heritage sector actively works to include the LGBTQ perspective in their preservation work by using a quantitative method. Through a document analysis and a survey, it examines this on a national, regional and local level within ?sterg?tland county and its 13 municipalities.
The study shows that at a national level there are no specific strategies for working inclusively with an LGBTQ perspective in cultural heritage, however, there is almost always a general level where concepts such as equality, gender equality, inclusion and intersectionality are mentioned.
