Inom Radiostyrd Bilsport tävlas det med ett antal olika klasser som drivs av 2-taktsförbränningsmotorer. Dessa blir mycket varma och måste kylas av. Det sker med hjälp av enkylfläns som är monterad ovanpå förbränningsrummet, och som kyls av fartvinden.HP Hobbyprodukter har frågat oss om vi kan hjälpa dem att ta fram en egen kylfläns åt dem.Eftersom det ofta förekommer ovarsam behandling i tävlingssammanhang, är det ett krav attkylflänsens ska tåla detta. Den måste även avleda värme från förbränningsrummet, motorblocketoch övriga motorkomponenter effektivt. Ett önskemål är att kylflänsen ska ha ett unikt utseende,så att den är lätt att känna igen ute på banan.Arbetet har inriktat sig på prototypnivå.

Företaget har upplevt en kraftig expansion under de senaste åren och de börjar uppleva problem med att hinna med att producera komponenter till stommarna i tillräckligt hög grad. Woodform är i en övergångsfas mellan att vara ett hantverksföretag och ett industriföretag. Förändringar måste ske inom företaget för att det ska vara möjligt att producera den mängd komponenter som efterfrågas. Vi har i denna uppsats studerat processflödet inom Woodform och vad som i ett första läge går att effektivisera.

Kundmedvetenhet och företagens innovationer inom skomodet ökar kraftigt vilket bidrar till att fler företag vågar ta steget ut på en mer främmande marknad. Förutsättningarna för att lyckas internationellt beror mycket på marknadskunskap av de marknader som företaget vill expandera till. Att vara experter på skor räcker inte ända fram. En marknadsundersökning där en identifiering och eliminering av de sämre marknaderna är väsentligt för en lyckad expansion internationellt. Eftersom den Europeiska marknaden växer sig allt större samtidigt som företagets engagemang för expandering i världen ökar finns idag en starkare vilja att expandera längre från sin hemmamarknad.

The investigation is a pre-study which has the primary goal to evaluate technical and financial offers from companies that manufacture primary air preheater, and investigate if it is technically and financially profitable to do a purchase on primary air preheaters in the future.In the pre-study it is proposed that it is most efficient to have individual primary air preheater, one for each incineration boiler and the primary air are also proposed to be preheated by hot water in the pre-study. Further in the pre-study it is proposed that the heat-exchanger should have plain tubes instead of finned tubes, to avoid getting dirty fast. The space in the boiler-room is limited, and therefore the major problem was to fit in the primary air preheaters into the boiler-room. By comparing the different offers from the companies, the result in the pre-study shows that the offer from the company C.A.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka diskurserna kring ett antal bostadskvarter isödra Gårda i Göteborg. Utsagorna som utgör diskurserna är hämtade frånkommunala politiker, boende, media samt Göteborg stads stadsarkitekt.Genom en kvalitativ metod intervjuar uppsatsförfattarna åtta politiker från Göteborgsbyggnadsnämnd och fastighetsnämnd, en boende i södra Gårda samt Göteborgs stadsstadsarkitekt. Det insamlade materialet analyseras med hjälp av teori och tidigareforskning. De teoretiska referensramar som används är identitet, makt, psykoanalys,gentrifiering och diskursanalys. Den tidigare forskningen behandlar bostadspolitik,boendestandard, gentrifiering och social polarisering.I analysen redogörs för de fyra diskurser som urskiljs: Bevarandediskursen,rivningsdiskursen, den sociala diskursen om bostadens värde och den materielladiskursen om bostadens värde.

This is a study of American Methodist Mission in Sweden and how this mission eventually formed the Methodist Church in Sweden 1876. The mission began as a consequence of returning Swedish emigrants and sailors who had encountered Methodism in America, mainly through the works of Swedish-American missionary Olof Gustaf Hedström on the Bethel ship in New York. During the 1850?s Methodist missionaries were sent to Scandinavia by the American Missions Society. The first to come to Sweden was Johan Peter Larsson, who spent two years in Sweden in 1854 before he was transferred to Norway.

Då dagens industrialiserade samhälle är i behov av att minska sitt beroende av fossila bränslen, bedrivs mycket forskning för att utveckla förnybara alternativ till dessa. Ett område där denna typ av forskning har bedrivits länge är transportsektorn, där biodiesel och bioetanol är exempel på förnybara bränslen utvunna från växter.Alger odlas sedan länge i kommersiellt syfte, i huvudsak som livsmedel eller för utvinning av värdefulla ämnen såsom proteiner och pigment. På senare tid har det dock även bedrivits ett flertal testodlingar för biodrivmedelsframställning. Vissa arter av alger är mycket rika på oljor eller kolhydrater, och genom att utvinna dessa kan drivmedel såsom biodiesel och bioetanol framställas.Denna rapport beskriver hur en drivmedelsproduktion från alger skulle kunna utformas på en fiktiv ö i Stilla havet, ± 10? om ekvatorn.

Purpose: The purpose with this study is to clarify what importance a co-occurrence event can have on a smaller town, and also what positive and negative consequences it can have on the town seen from a social, economic and political aspect. I will also look at what magnitude the festival have on the local commercial and industrial life and how it affects those who live there. I will also determent how the moving of the festival might come and affect the local businesses, the local population and the community it-self.Method: I will thorough-out this study work with qualitative research methodology. I will there-for process the empirical data that will be collected and used for this study from a qualitative research methodology point of view. I will likewise go through with two deep-going interviews with people well familiar with the subject to increase and strengthen the validity of my study.

Dammar är en viktig konstruktion i Sverige och i världen bland annat för vattenförsörjning, reglering av flöden och elproduktion. En expansion på grund av en alkalisilikareaktion (ASR) i en betongdamm kan leda till många problem. Bland annat kan det uppstå läckage av vatten och problem med öppning och stängning av luckor.Mycket forskning har lagts ner på att ta reda på hur ASR påverkar hållfastheten och bärförmågan hos betong. Detta examensarbete syftar till att genom en litteraturstudie visa hur bärförmågan hos en lamell­damm påverkas av en alkalisilikareaktion. I den första delen beskrivs vad en lamelldamm är och principer för dimensioneringen av en monolit.

Wermland was affected by the Spanish flu like the Swedish national average, about a half percentage of Wermlands population would lose their lives to the flu during the autumn 1918. The flu has for many fallen into oblivion. This oblivion is so wide spread that it´s possible to talk about a "collective forgetfulness". The society have selected to remember 1918 for "when the guns went quiet on the western front" and not for the millions who died from the treacherous Spanish flu. The world had already suffered enough from the four years of war that had been fought, thus the victims of the flu would be honored but would soon fade in to oblivion.  When you investigate deeper you get the picture that the national average don´t do Wermland and its cities or rural areas any justice when a large variations seems to occur within regional areas.

In our everyday life we are constantly affected by sound; at home, on our way to and from work, when taking a walk through the woods and when we sleep. In discussions about sound one often talk about noise and to what degree a certain noise disturbs us. The positive qualities of a sound and what sounds contribute to the experience of a good environment is rarely discussed. The question of sound and the quality of sound is given more attention through the expansion of Stockholm, the city is becoming both bigger and more crowded. This raises new questions concerning the planning of the city e.g. should the changes of the sound quality in a place be one of the aspects taken into consideration when planning new buildings, are there ways to improve the sound quality in new building projects? Can we even improve the quality of sound in existing places by simple means? I have chosen to study four different areas in Stockholm; Hötorget, Mariatorget, Berzeliipark and Norrmalmstorg.

Med dagens växande besättningar är det svårare att upptäcka brunst hos mjölkkor genom visuell observation. Detta leder till ekonomiska förluster, minskat genetiskt framsteg, högre inkalvningsålder och längre kalvningsintervall. För att underlätta brunstregistrering i besättningarna finns olika automatiska registreringar som kan upptäcka fysiologiska eller beteendemässiga förändringar som framträder hos kon vid brunst. Denna litteraturstudie sammanställer tre olika principer för brunstdetektering; visuell brunstdetektering, stegräknare och bestigningsdetektor, som kan vara antingen elektronisk eller manuell. Resultatet visar att stegräknare är den metod som upptäcker flest brunstperioder medan visuell observation ger minst felaktigt detekterade brunstperioder.
