Portrycksvariationer i lera - Simulering av portrycksvariationer i leror underlagrade av friktionsmaterial
This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg.In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. In cases where no other energyconsumers are located in the same section, there is a resistance witch task is to convert this energy into heat. The regulation of this resistance appears to cause an increase in the voltagelevel into far too high levels.Investigations of the trams regulationequipment and its construction have been done. Further have measurements on the overheadline been performed in order to map the voltagevariations during a longer period of time.The result have been showing that the voltagelevel during regeneration often is as high as 880V-920V, more extreme values have not been observed in a large scale. The values are especially high compared to the nominal voltagelevel.

Prototyputprovning av upphängningssystem
Examensarbetet gick ut på att stötprova ett system för upphängning av kablar och rör i fartyg. Vid stötprovningen monterades upphängningssystemet i en fixtur. Gruppen fick fria händer att utforma fixturen. Med hjälp av Fredy Olssons teorier om produktframtagning utvecklades en fixtur bestående av fyrkantrör. Genom att värdera och selektera bland de lösningar som presenterades i examensarbetet ?Upphängningssystem? BTH-IMA-EX?2000/C-02-SE och andra nytillkomna likvärdiga lösningar, har gruppen kommit fram till och stötprovat ett system, bestående av aluminiumprofiler och vinklar från Bosch Rexroth.
Biobränsleanvändning och Flameless oxidation i degelugnar för glassmältning
Idag värms glasugnar upp med antingen gasol eller olja, detta projekt vill visa på möjligheten att istället använda gas från biobränsleförgasning som förbränns utan synliga flammor. Detta skulle miljömässigt ge fördelarna att biobränslen inte bidrar till växthuseffekten och ge förutsättningar för att minska kväveoxidutsläppen genom bättre teknik än dagens.För att visa att det är möjligt att både behålla produktionen och reducera kväveoxiderna med förgasningsgas konstruerades en modell av ugnen och strömningsbilden studerades i vattenmodell. För att undersöka värmeöverföringen i ugnen behöver en eller flera kalorimetrar konstrueras för att kunna användas vid varma försök. Dimensionsberäkningar gjordes som visade att detta är möjligt med vissa typer av kalorimetrar..

In recent years, global organizations safeguarding financial stability has started to track commercial property markets. One of the reasons for this refers to the fact that commercial property constitutes a large share of bank lending. Simultaneously, bank exposures to commercial property are extensive and risky since collateral values are strongly correlated to borrowers cash flows. Since banks are viewed to play a key role for financial stability, studying the relationship is well motivated. To better understand how commercial property markets interact with financial stability, this paper develops an econometric model for studying the commercial rental market.

Enligt Barncancerfonden insjuknar varje år cirka 300 svenska barn upp till 18 års ålder i cancer. De vanligaste cancerformerna hos barn är leukemi, hjärntumörer och lymfom. Prognosen för dessa barn är idag god då tre av fyra barn överlever sin cancer. När ett barn drabbas av cancer är det inte bara en individ som drabbas utan även föräldrarna till barnet berörs i allra högsta grad. Att få beskedet om att ens barn drabbats av cancer är förknippat med känslor så som chock, rädsla, oro, skuld och maktlöshet.

AbstractThis report intends through a case study to investigate if lightweight concrete isappropriate as main material in the outer wall of a seven storey residential building.A technical design is carried out in accordance with the definitions and requirementsfor passive houses, given by FEBY?s1 ?Demand specification for passive houses?.A literature review is also carried out for a comparison between regular bolt wall andlight weight concrete wall, with a focus on the safety of moisture.The lightweight concrete block used in the report is as a celblock produced by thecompany H+H Sweden AB.The methods used have resulted in compliance with requirements andrecommendations from authorities. Calculations of energy, noise and moisture riskassessment has been carried out.The work has resulted in the conclusion that the lightweight concrete itself is notable to isolate in the extent necessary to obtain chosen U-value of 0,1 W/m2 ° C,without getting to thick. Therefore additional insulation is needed. There are fewrelevant reference objects built with only light weight concrete.

ca 2270 personer i hudcancern MM (Malignt melanom). Sjukdomen skulle kunna undvikas i flera fall om gemene man hyste större respekt för solen och dess negativa effekter. Denna insikt är mycket viktig ifall ökningen av MM ska kunna minskas. Syfte: Syftet var att få ökad kunskap om patienters erfarenheter av MM och vilka reaktioner och copingstrategier sjukdomen medför.
Metod: Studien designades som en litteraturstudie och bestod av 10 kvantitativa och en kvalitativ artikel som analyserades enligt Carlsson och Eimans (2003) analysmodell.

KVINNORS UPPLEVELSER EFTER ATT HA DRABBATS AV BRÖSTCANCER. : En litteraturstudie baserad på självbiografier
Bakgrund: I Sverige drabbas varje dag 15-20 kvinnor av bröstcancer. För de kvinnor som drabbas är det vanligt med starka känslor såsom ångest, rädsla och chock.Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa kvinnors upplevelser efter att ha drabbats av bröstcancer.Metod: Denna studie har en kvalitativ ansats. Data har samlats in från fem självbiografier skrivna av kvinnor som har eller har haft bröstcancer. Dataanalysen är gjord enligt Graneheim och Lundmans (2004) kvalitativa innehållsanalys.Resultat: Studien visar att kvinnor som drabbats av bröstcancer går igenom en mycket känsloladdad tid. Rädsla, tomhet och ångest är vanligt förekommande känslor.

Adaptiv temperaturreglering av bostadshus
The control of indoor temperature must be able to handle large time constants and both measureable disturbances like outdoor temperature, and non-measurable disturbances, like waste heat from appliances. Due to cheaper microcontrollers (small computers with designated tasks) with better performance, more advanced and computation-demanding methods for control can be used.In this thesis, Generalized Predictive Control (GPC) has been implemented and tested on a theoretically derived model of a house. GPC states that a model of the system is estimated in every sample, and the control is carried out simultaneously, based on predictions of the model. Disturbances like solar radiation can be estimated and used in the control as well. The control signals are determined by quadratic programming, which makes it possible to consider conditions, for example limitations on the control signals.GPC requires a number of parameters to be defined, like model order and control signal penalty, but is relatively robust for variations in them.
