The reporting of the media will never be an exact copy of reality. Through medias way of presenting, or framing, the world that surround us all they must also affect our interpretation of it. The role of the journalist includes both chosing and excluding in the way they describe things. Studies have been made by the wellknown mediaresearcher, Kent Asp, that show how media reported in more negative wordings about Mona Sahlin, than her opponent Fredrik Reinfeldt in the period building up to the swedish elections 2010. The purpose of our study has been to compare how these politicians were being described, or framed, in the media, in regards to their gender.Our study has shown that Mona Sahlin more often than Fredrik Reinfeldt was described as being less knowledgeable, and were mentioned in the context of scandals or conflicts.

Den här studien utfördes på uppdrag av Cambio Healthcare Systems som utvecklar IT-system till sjukvården. Uppdraget gick ut på att ta reda på vilka behov, med avseende på informationshantering, ett IT-stöd för sjukvårdspersonal som gör hembesök måste tillgodose. Den specifika grupp som har studerats för detta ändamål är sjukgymnaster och arbetsterapeuter som arbetar tillsammans i hemrehabteam. Den teoretiska ansats som valdes för studien är distribuerad kognition. Denna ansats studerar individernas och artefakternas koordination och interaktion med varandra, samt hur information omvandlas och överförs i det kognitiva systemsom individerna och artefakterna utgör.

I bakgrunden tas betydelsen av en bra vårdrelation upp, liksom transpersoners plats inom dagens vård. Även tidigare forskning presenteras. Syftet är att belysa transpersoners (könskorrigerade och icke könskorrigerade) upplevelser av brister inom vården. För att besvara syftet har en litteraturöversikt utförts enligt Fribergs (2006) modell. Resultatet redovisar att vården idag för denna minoritetsgrupp är bristfällig, med diskriminering och okunskap som ständigt möter transpersoner inom vården, liksom att vården styrs av heteronormativitet.

Studiens syfte är att kartlägga och analysera hur ständigt förbättringsarbete i dagligt arbete fungerar på en akutmottagning samt förutsättningar som möjliggör och hindrar detta förbättringsarbete. Den teoretiska referensramen består av tidigare forskning om förbättringsarbete, Lean Production, Kaizen, ständiga förbättringar samt förutsättningar som påverkar dessa ständiga förbättringar. Metoden som använts för att besvara syftet är en kvalitativ fallstudie med semistrukturerade intervjuer.I slutsatsen framgår det att det är chefernas inställning och engagemang kring ständiga förbättringar som driver arbetet framåt, vilket smittar av sig på medarbetarna. En tro på att ständiga förbättringar långsiktigt kan utveckla verksamheten i en positiv riktning. Det som hindrar är framförallt de kontextuella faktorerna tid och resurser.

Background: When children are admitted to the hospital most of them experience a new and unknown world. The staff?s most important task is to reach out to the child in the best way possible. To give good nursing, knowledge has to be gathered of how the child thinks, feels and what the child wants. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe children?s experience of hospitalization on the basis of the four nursing concepts person, health, environment and nursing.

The work aims to problemize and increase the understanding for the new labour market's flexible organising. By using Elias and Scotson's theory, the new organisational form of hiring doctors in healthcare will exemplify the developments taking place with many temporary jobs and how it affects the intrinsic structure of a work to be studied. Using Faircloughs three-dimensional model and critical discourse analysis, it is investigated if there is a more prominent discourse and if so the impact of globalization on this discourse concerning swedish elderly care. A sample of a total of ten articles in the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter is analyzed. The authors found that older people who are granted home help or place of accommodation rarely make their voices heard. Rarely were also relatives of residents given the opportunity to speak.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka arbetsterapeuters erfarenhet av trädgårdsrehabilitering. En kvalitativ metod med induktiv ansats valdes för att besvara syftet. Data samlades in via semistrukturerade intervjuer, med intervjuguide som stöd. Insamlad data analyserades utifrån kvalitativ innehållsanalys, vilken resulterade i tre kategorier. Resultatet visade att trädgårdens olika värden är inflytelserika faktorer för människors egen läkepotential, via deltagande i meningsfulla aktiviteter på olika nivåer i trädgården.

Many children in Sweden are exposed to maltreatment. Among the purposes of the Child health care (CHC) are to decrease mortality, infirmity and handicaps among mothers and their children, and to decrease hurtful strains for parents and their children. CHC-nurses get critizism for not reporting child maltreatment in high enough numbers to the Social service. The aim of this study was to chart how CHC-nurses finds their work with families suffering from maltreatment. Ten CHC-nurses were interviewed with semistructured interviews.

The BA thesis Front Yard Gardens ? spatiality, design elements, expression and social aspects is a summary of the entrance and front yard garden phenomenon ? where the entrance is the set design and the designer is the director. The thesis touches the social context of which entrances have been and still are shaped. The various appearance of the entrance and front yard gardens throughout the history, starting with the first entrance by the edge of the wood and coming up to the front yard gardens of today, is described. It touches the present day through an analysis of some entrances and front yard gardens of modern residential areas.

This thesis investigates the former apple orchard ?pplehagen with a focus on its origin, history, and remaining fruit trees. Historical aerial photographs, historical maps, an interview with a former owner, together with a field investigation has served as the methods of this survey. The investigation shows that ?pplehagen probably was established between 1882 and the 1930?s as a rational orchard in the spirit of the time aiming to produce fruit both for household and for sale.
