Venous leg ulcers are a chronic disease mostly among elderly individuals. The leg ulcers are often painful and interfere with the individual?s daily life. The aim of this literature review was to describe individuals? experiences of living with venous leg ulcers.

In the 90's the establishment of external trade centers had a strong growth in Sweden, primarily in large and medium cities. Gradually took smaller towns by this development. In larger cities with larger and growing customer base than in small towns were not affected by the trade centers heavily, but in the smaller towns where the customer base was smaller, there was a risk that it created a negative competitive relationship between external trade center and trade in the citycenter. In some cases, competition is a positive development for both the citycenter and external trade areas, but in some cases there was a risk that the center became impoverished. In such situation there are theories that the different variety of different types of goods should be at the center and in external trade center could lead to a balanced trade relationship.

The work aims to problemize and increase the understanding for the new labour market's flexible organising. By using Elias and Scotson's theory, the new organisational form of hiring doctors in healthcare will exemplify the developments taking place with many temporary jobs and how it affects the intrinsic structure of a work to be studied. The essay will focus on examining how the interaction affected between established nurses and new temporary doctors given the new form. How the interaction of the recently established group possesses a higher social-, economic- and cultural capital than the already established working group? The method is a qualitative study with three long and deep semi-structured interviews.

The reporting of the media will never be an exact copy of reality. Through medias way of presenting, or framing, the world that surround us all they must also affect our interpretation of it. The role of the journalist includes both chosing and excluding in the way they describe things. Studies have been made by the wellknown mediaresearcher, Kent Asp, that show how media reported in more negative wordings about Mona Sahlin, than her opponent Fredrik Reinfeldt in the period building up to the swedish elections 2010. The purpose of our study has been to compare how these politicians were being described, or framed, in the media, in regards to their gender.Our study has shown that Mona Sahlin more often than Fredrik Reinfeldt was described as being less knowledgeable, and were mentioned in the context of scandals or conflicts.

Den här studien utfördes på uppdrag av Cambio Healthcare Systems som utvecklar IT-system till sjukvården. Uppdraget gick ut på att ta reda på vilka behov, med avseende på informationshantering, ett IT-stöd för sjukvårdspersonal som gör hembesök måste tillgodose. Den specifika grupp som har studerats för detta ändamål är sjukgymnaster och arbetsterapeuter som arbetar tillsammans i hemrehabteam. Den teoretiska ansats som valdes för studien är distribuerad kognition. Denna ansats studerar individernas och artefakternas koordination och interaktion med varandra, samt hur information omvandlas och överförs i det kognitiva systemsom individerna och artefakterna utgör.

I bakgrunden tas betydelsen av en bra vårdrelation upp, liksom transpersoners plats inom dagens vård. Även tidigare forskning presenteras. Syftet är att belysa transpersoners (könskorrigerade och icke könskorrigerade) upplevelser av brister inom vården. För att besvara syftet har en litteraturöversikt utförts enligt Fribergs (2006) modell. Resultatet redovisar att vården idag för denna minoritetsgrupp är bristfällig, med diskriminering och okunskap som ständigt möter transpersoner inom vården, liksom att vården styrs av heteronormativitet.

Studiens syfte är att kartlägga och analysera hur ständigt förbättringsarbete i dagligt arbete fungerar på en akutmottagning samt förutsättningar som möjliggör och hindrar detta förbättringsarbete. Den teoretiska referensramen består av tidigare forskning om förbättringsarbete, Lean Production, Kaizen, ständiga förbättringar samt förutsättningar som påverkar dessa ständiga förbättringar. Metoden som använts för att besvara syftet är en kvalitativ fallstudie med semistrukturerade intervjuer.I slutsatsen framgår det att det är chefernas inställning och engagemang kring ständiga förbättringar som driver arbetet framåt, vilket smittar av sig på medarbetarna. En tro på att ständiga förbättringar långsiktigt kan utveckla verksamheten i en positiv riktning. Det som hindrar är framförallt de kontextuella faktorerna tid och resurser.

Background: When children are admitted to the hospital most of them experience a new and unknown world. The staff?s most important task is to reach out to the child in the best way possible. To give good nursing, knowledge has to be gathered of how the child thinks, feels and what the child wants. Aim: The aim of this study was to describe children?s experience of hospitalization on the basis of the four nursing concepts person, health, environment and nursing.

The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of sensory modality on short-term memory recall. An exploratory, cross-sectional study was performed. A total of 119 individuals participated. There were 70 female and 49 male subjects, aged 4 to 80 years (M=34,3). The participants were presented with 12 different objects in auditory, visual or auditory/visual mode over a period of 24 seconds.

In light of the European Union`s 2012 theme year: Active aging and solidarity between generations I wished to gain an understanding of weather elderly immigrant are provided with equal possibilities and access to local community information as the majority population and their participation in activities arranged for senior citizens in the municipality where they live. I have done this by meeting with those who work in this capacity. I also chose to meet with representatives for immigrant organizations in the local community to enquire of their work with senior citizens within their own ethnic group. This is a qualitative study on a phenomenological ground based on nine interviews and four observations. I have had two theories to help me analyze my empirical material.

Many children in Sweden are exposed to maltreatment. Among the purposes of the Child health care (CHC) are to decrease mortality, infirmity and handicaps among mothers and their children, and to decrease hurtful strains for parents and their children. CHC-nurses get critizism for not reporting child maltreatment in high enough numbers to the Social service. The aim of this study was to chart how CHC-nurses finds their work with families suffering from maltreatment. Ten CHC-nurses were interviewed with semistructured interviews.

Svenskar 65 år eller äldre beräknas öka från dagens 1,6 miljoner till 2,3 miljoner år 2030. Äldre kan ansöka om bistånd vilket kan bestå av matleveranser eller helpension i särskilt boende. Livsmedelssäkerheten styrs av EG-lagstiftning och svensk lag gäller även matleveranser och mat i särskilt boende. Äldre i särskilt boende utgör en högriskgrupp för livsmedelsburen smitta och i dagsläget saknas en information om hur utbrott av livsmedelsburen smitta drabbat äldreboenden. Mot bakgrund av avsaknad av information har detta arbete utförts. En litteratursökning gjordes via ISI Web of Knowledge, sökorden elderly* and food poison* och gastroenteritis and elderly and food användes.

This paper aims to explore the reception in Sweden of the work and ideas of neuroscientist Antonio R Damasio, expressed in his four published books. The material used is mainly articled and reviews published in Sweden between 1995 and 2011 regarding Damasio?s books. To analyze the reception, paradigm theories by Kuhn, and Bourdieu?s ideas regarding field, habitus and capital has been used.
