Det har beskrivits hur upplevelserna av anknytningen till barnet kan variera beroende på mammans levnadshistoria. Med hjälp av anknytningsteorin förklarades anknytningsmönstrets betydelse för hur det sociala samspelet med omgivningen ser ut. Syftet med studien var att beskriva mammans upplevelser av att ej kunna knyta an till sitt nyfödda barn och problemområdet belystes med hjälp av självbiografier i en kvalitativ litteraturstudie. Resultatet redovisades under följande fyra kategorier: anknytningen blev inte som förväntat, prestationsångest och osäkerhet i mammarollen, känsla av att inte vara en bra mamma och ville inte vara med barnet. Slutsatsen blev att mammans upplevelser behöver lyftas fram och tydliggöras så att sjuksköterskan kan hjälpa igång och stödja mamman för att den livsviktiga anknytningen skall kunna slå rot..

Nålstick är för barn ofta en upplevelse förenad med obehag. Det finns ett stort antal studier kring barns smärtupplevelser i samband med nålstick, men de är uteslutande utförda i sjukhusmiljö eller liknande miljöer. Syftet med denna studie var att jämföra tolvåriga pojkars och flickors upplevelse av smärta i samband med venös blodprovstagning i skolmiljö och se om det föreligger någon skillnad mellan könen. Purpose The purpose of our study was to investigate the changing nature of volatility during the last 80 years. Like in an American study, we tried to find some trends in the risk of stocks and bonds that would have an impact on the balance of a portfolio of stocks and bonds. At the same time we investigated the influence of inflation on the choice of portfolio. Methods We have used standard statistic tools and formulas to obtain our results. The purpose of this study was to look at the experiences of midwives in maternalhealth care encounters with non-european-born women and men, and to determine ifmidwives deem any special competence necessary to handle these encounters well.We gathered information by means of qualitative interviews and semi structuredquestions with eight midwives all of whom matched the inclusion criterias and gavetheir personal consent. Midwives from four district health care centers in Uppsalawere included. The interviews were transcribed and analyzed by means of qualitativecontent analysis.The results reveal the experiences from encounters with non-european patients to betwofold. On one hand the encounter is a positive, exiting experience with anopportunity to learn more about a foreign culture and exchange experiences. On theother hand complications can occur as patients may have unexpected expectationsregarding the health care, have great difficulties with the language or haveexperienced traumatizing incidents, all on top of coming to Sweden alone withoutrelatives.In the encounter with non-european-born patients the midwives consider it importantto have special competence in form of knowledge of other cultures and religions asthis provides a greater understanding of the reasoning behind the patients? decisions.Cultural competence is also important as it helps avoid inadvertently insulting thepatient during the encounter.The special competence held by the midwives has been attained from their basic andspecialist education as well as from self acquired experiences and interests.

The aim of this study was to investigate if interventions during pregnancy, with women who?s BMI are 25 or more, affects health of the mother and her expected child, delivery outcome and self estimated health.

Early contact with both parents is important for children and it is important to reach out to both mothers and fathers through parental education groups. Parent education program for fathers can lead to more fathers taking parental leave and becoming more involved in the care of their children. A lot of men lack support from the community after the birth of their child. The aim of this study was to illustrate district nurses? experiences of meeting first-time fathers.

The intention of the study is to investigate pedagogues understanding of physical activities in preschool. Should special activities be planned in order to stimulate children´s progress in motor skills? I also want to find out if pedagogues found the acitivities in preschool curriculum which says that the aim is to develop children´s body perception and teaching children how to care for their own health. I have interviewed seven pedagogues and focus of the question lied within motor skills and the joy of movement among preschool children. The result shows that pedagogues regard it to be important to stimulate motor activities and to encourage joy of movement in preschool.

In May 2004 eight former communist countries (EU-8) with close historical trade ties to Russia joined the European Union.
