The purpose of this essay is to acquire variables that explain and may be used as a base for wage estimation in the private sector in Sweden. The factors that are assumed to have an impact on wage estimation are based on earlier Swedish and international studies. Business survey data, which is based upon monthly questions to firms in various sectors of the Swedish economy posed by the Swedish National Institute of Economic Research, will be analyzed to find out weather they have an impact on Swedish wage settings or not. Tests including business survey data are yet rarely frequent, why this essay will be some kind of a pioneer within the area. To estimate significant factors that influence wage setting in Sweden, three different wage equations have been modeled and tested with a regression model.

The purpose of this study is to examine whether there is any connection between working hours, desired working hours and the worker ?s health. The study also aims to investigate if there are any differences over time. Earlier studies have shown that individuals need a balance in their life between worked hours and free time. This balance seems to be important for employees if they want to lead and remain a healthy lifestyle.

Vattkoppor räknas till en av våra klassiska barnsjukdomar. Sjukdomen är i sig relativt ofarlig, men leder till stora produktionsförluster för samhället då individer tvingas vara hemma från arbetet på grund av vård av barn eller sjukskrivning. I flera länder, såsom USA och Tyskland, har man undkommit problemet med stora produktionsförluster genom att införa allmän barnvaccination mot vattkoppor. Denna vaccination har då bara lagts till det redan existerande barnvaccinationsprogrammet i landet. Syftet med denna uppsats är att, utifrån en cost-benefit analys, undersöka vilka ekonomiska effekter införandet av allmän barnvaccination mot vattkoppor skulle leda till i Sverige.

Generiskt utbyte infördes i Sverige 2002 och innebär att läkemedel på recept automatiskt byts ut mot billigaste likvärdiga alternativ på apoteken. I uppsatsen analyseras reformens effekter på kostnad och konkurrens efter patentutgång och vad dessa kan ha inneburit för effektiviteten på den svenska läkemedelsmarknaden. Det empiriska materialet utgörs av 15 storsäljande läkemedel som tappat patent under perioden 2000-2004, varav 4 före och 11 efter reformen. Resultatet av analysen tyder på att den generiska konkurrensen har ökat avsevärt och att kostnaderna för de läkemedel som tappade patent efter reformen är betydligt lägre. Samtidigt har prisskillnader mellan generika och originalpreparat ökat, vilket bidragit till att begränsa förlusten i intäkter för originaltillverkare.

The purpose of this master thesis is to study sponsoring of culture. The questions asked are: What are the reasons for sponsoring? What are the advantages of sponsoring? What are the disadvantages of sponsoring? What is the relation between public grants and sponsoring? The thesis is based upon studies of literature and a case study in Malmoe. Malmoe Public Library received about a million SEK over a period of three years from the foundation of Foreningssparbanken Skane. The money finances two projects, one with new books, Nyhetstorget, and one with strengthened information for small companies, Projekt Förstärkt Näringslivsinformation.

One of our big public health problems in Sweden is that human beings are too inactive in outdoor settings. That is why stress related diseases increase and influence humans both mentally and physical. The physical activity is halved among many children when they start school and the older they become the less they enjoy school. It is also an increasing problem that children and youth in today's society have lack of worthwhile experiences in the nature. The aim of this study was therefore to examine how the experience of outdoor environment had importance for health and learning on upper secondary school pupils.

Background: Throughout life, sexuality is a central aspect of being human and to experience a full and healthy. Several diseases and treatments can cause problems related to sexuality and sexual health. Despite this, research has shown that nurses, for various reasons choose not to take up the subject with their patients. Aim: The aim of this literature-based study was to illuminate nurses' experiences of talking with patients about sexuality and sexual health. Method: A literature-based study where both qualitative and quantitative studies, have been used.

The agricultural sector accounts for about 13 percent of the total load of greenhouse gas emissions from Sweden (Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, 2007). The Swedish objective to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions with 40 percentage units to the year of 2020, based upon the year of 1990, might imply stricter regulations for Swedish farmers. A regulation or other forms of economic incentives is probably necessary to reduce the emissions originating from the agricultural sector. This study aims to investigate the economic and managerial impact on two agricultural firms with differing production system given that a constraint on green house gas emissions is introduced. Gases included in this study are carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide.

According to the health care law and the national care guarantee, all individuals with mental illness have the right to good health care that is knowledge based as well as to rehabilitation where and when they need it. They also should be able to choose and have control over who is performing the care, including the design of these efforts. The purpose of this study is to investigate patients' experiences of general psychiatric emergency care and the cooperation between outpatient care, inpatient care and the municipality. This study is a descriptive cross-sectional study, conducted with a quantitative and qualitative method. The study is performed in collaboration with Akademiska Sjukhuset and is part of a larger quality improvement project.

Syfte:Syftet med studien är att se om ett samband förekommer mellan Moody?s ranking och beräkningar utförda med en modifierad modell av Merton för ett visst antal europeiska företag. Syftet är vidare att dra slutsatser och tolkningar vad gäller tillförlitligheten och relevansen kring att använda den modifierade Merton modellen som ett kreditmått. Metod:Tillvägagångssättet för att erhålla resultatet för studien går ut på att för sju olika europeiska länder välja sju företag för respektive land. Utifrån de valda företagen har historisk data insamlats i form av aktiekurs och skulddata vilka är utgångspunkten för de beräkningar som utförs med en modifierad Merton modell.

Today is what you could call a golden age for technological development in health care. Technology is given a bigger role in healthcare and serves not only as a support for health professionals in their daily work but also as a tool for the patient. With the help of eHealth services, patients are becoming more involved in their own care. This improves patient?s knowledge about their health, which in turn contributes to higher motivation to perform self-care.

Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur utbudet på den nordiska elmarknaden bestäms samt att se hur det är möjligt att förändra utbudet. Avvecklingen av kärnkraften är en central anledning till att utbudet måste förändras och forskning på nya produktionssätt och effektivisering av befintliga pågår ständigt. Eftersom elanvändningen i Norden ständigt ökar och det är omöjligt enligt lag att bygga ut produktionssätt som kärnkraft och vattenkraft är utbudet på elmarknaden ett aktuellt ämne att undersöka.Uppsatsen går igenom strukturen på den nordiska elmarknaden och de viktigaste produktionssätten för att läsaren skall få en överblick över hur situationen ser ut idag. Jag utreder också den tillgängliga produktionskapaciteten och de problem som kan uppkomma i och med överföringen av el där effektiviteten kan ökas. Då prissättningen är en direkt effekt av hur utbudet på marknaden ser ut har jag valt att via mikroekonomiska modeller gå igenom denna process.

The aim of child health care is to promote health and development for all children, to early identify problems that concern children´s growth and development and to prevent ill-health among children. Today in our society the proportion of children who are underweight are few.The aim with this study was to describe paediatric nurses experience in meeting with underweight children and their parents. Interviews were implemented and analyzed according to qualitative content analysis. Focus was placed on looking at differences and interpretations in the text content. The analyse resulted in six main categories, such as a need of sensitivity and a holistic view from the nurse, difficulties in handling the meeting because lack of tools.

HIV/AIDS upptäcktes i början av 1980talet och utvecklades snabbt till en omfattande epidemi. Värst drabbat är Afrika söder om Sahara med 2/3 av världens cirka 40 miljoner smittade. Uganda, som ligger norr om Victoriasjön, var bland de första länderna att rapportera om HIV-fall och hade under 1990talets början en HIV-prevalens på omkring 20 %. Sedan dess har man lyckats minska spridningen av smittan och uppger idag en prevalens på omkring 4 %. Uppsatsen syftar till att se på vilka preventiva åtgärder mot spridningen av HIV/AIDS som genomförts i Uganda och i möjligaste mån deras kostnadseffektivitet uttryckt i USD/förhindrat fall av HIV-smitta.
