Gross motor skills among Swedish pupils. An overview of functional motor abilities among Swedish children and adolescents.IntroductionPhysical Education (PE) teachers in Sweden have noticed that pupils are getting worse in their ability to manage gross motor skills and in their aerobic practice. The gross motor skills and coordinative skills are the solid ground for sports and other health activities. If not developing their gross motor skill children tends to avoid taking part in games and sports. The benefits of sports and outdoor activities such as social and Health benefits can therefore be missed.

This degree project has been performed on commission by Örsjöbelysning AB. The task has been to study alighting armature and compare it to the demands of The Swan Ecolabel. The task was also to recommend adjustments to improve the environmental adaption of the product to meet the demands of The Swan Ecolabel. Furthermore the task has been to gather documentation on the elements of the lighting armature. Such documentation is required to obtain The Swan Ecolabel.

Bröstcancer är idag en vanlig sjukdom bland kvinnor och cytostatikabehandlingen är den behandling många upplever som påfrestande. Syftet med studien är att beskriva kvinnor med bröstcancers upplevelse och livskvalité under och efter behandling med cytostatika. I studien har dessa kvinnors livskvalité, välbefinnande, lidande och livsvärld belysts i samband med cytostatikabehandling. En kvalitativ litteraturstudie inspirerad av Graneheim och Lundman gjordes utifrån sju vetenskapliga artiklar. I resultatet framkom det att kvinnor upplevde sin sjukdom och behandlingen individuellt, men att något sorts lidande alltid fanns.

Vi lever i ett mångkulturellt samhälle, och detta ställer ökade krav på sjuksköterskor när de ska vårda patienter med annan kulturell bakgrund än den egna. Den här studien syftade till att belysa några av de svårigheter sjuksköterskor kan uppleva i vården av patienter med annan kulturell bakgrund än den egna. Metoden som användes var en litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats. Nio artiklar valdes ut, där sjuksköterskor intervjuats om sina iakttagelser i vården av patienter med annan kulturell bakgrund än den egna. Resultatet visade att bristande kommunikation, kulturkrockar och brist på kunskap hos sjuksköterskor var företeelser som kunde upplevas som svåra i vården av patienter med annan kulturell bakgrund än den egna.

Bakgrund: Cirka 50 000 svenskar insjuknar årligen i cancer. Cancerbeskedet påverkar såväl den sjukdomsdrabbade som de närstående. Därför är det viktigt att tillräckligt känslomässigt stöd och information ges även till de närstående. Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att belysa närståendes behov av information och känslomässigt stöd då anhörig drabbats av cancer. Metod: Studien bygger på fem artiklar med kvalitativ forskningsansats och två artiklar med kvantitativ forskningsansats.

This thesis deals with the ethical attitudes of professionals working with Methadone or Subutex assisted rehabilitation, concerning the constructed guidelines and directions from the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare. The central themes in the thesis are: 1. What do professionals think of the rules concerning admissions to the rehabilitation programme? 2. What do professionals think of the rules/criteria for being excluded from the programme? 3.

Obesity is the most common nutritional disorder, and is defined as an accumulation of excessive amounts of adipose tissue in the body. Obesity is a condition where an animal exceeds its optimum body weight by more than 10-25%. Risk factors associated with obesity may include breed, age, castration or high energy intake relative to energy consumption. The consequences of obesity are believed to be metabolic and hormonal changes, as well as cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, orthopedic problems, tumors and premature death. Prevention and early detection of obesity leads to better health care.

This thesis examines the relationship between the marginalization of ornamentation during functionalist modernism and the effect it had on female graphic design practice. By examining the historiography from a gender and feminist theory of history I present a different way of interpreting, not only the history of graphic design but also the concept of graphic design. This thesis does not reach a conclusive result, instead it sets the foundation for further research and illustrates the opportunities that we as graphic designers have to benefit contemporary graphic design by critically reviewing and redefining our history through a diverse historiography..

Bakgrund: Antalet fall med demenssjukdom ökar då medelåldern ökar. Sjukdomen har ett smygande förlopp och är påfrestande för hela familjen. Ofta blir den demensdrabbade tvungen att flytta till ett boende. Syfte: Syftet med studien var att belysa vad som bidrar till en god relation mellan anhöriga till och vårdare av demensdrabbade, som bor på boende. Metod: En litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats gjordes.

?Bara du har hälsan är allting bra.? Stämmer detta? Hälsa har länge betraktats som avsaknad av ohälsa, men inkluderar i dag begreppet livskvalitet. Nöjdhet med livet består av många komponenter, tre som nämns ofta är ekonomi, sysselsättning och det sociala livet. Denna studie ämnar utröna hur sambanden ser ut mellan hälsa och nöjdhetsområdena ekonomi, sysselsättning samt det sociala livet. En enkätstudie utfördes på 98 studenter som skattade sin hälsa och nöjdhet.

Africa is expected to go through a rapid urbanization over the next four decades and the demand for food is increasing in the rapidly growing urban and peri-urban (UPU) areas. Keeping livestock in urban areas is in particular associated with health hazards. This is due to close interaction between humans and animals, and it has been shown that zoonotic diseases are increasing in urban areas. The benefits of urban and peri-urban agriculture (UPA) are related to improved food security, in particular among low-income groups. Apart from the negative public health impact of zoonotic diseases, animal disease could have a devastating impact on the economy and food security of many households in these areas. In the present study, three important endemic diseases, including brucellosis, salmonellosis and Bovine viral diarrhea (BVD), were analyzed in regard to seroprevalence and risk factors.

In this thesis we propose a conceptual plan for thedevelopment of an Agroforestry Training Centre (ATC)in Musoma, Tanzania. The aim is to make a proposalto support peasant education in agroforestry. How canan ATC in Musoma be developed into a stimulatingand educational park suitable for teaching agroforestrymethods to peasant farmers and other potential users?To answer that a field study was conducted to investigatehow our client Vi Agroforestry Programme (Vi) and thetarget groups of the client can benefit from the site.The thesis begins with a short explanation of thecontext, in which the ATC plays a part followed by amethodology chapter. Diabetes mellitus type 2 and chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) are two of the most common diseases in the world and the amount are increasing. The treatments of these diseases are self care and a change of lifestyle. For this to be successful there is a need for the person to have knowledge about the diseases and a motivation for making changes in his or her lifestyle. Most of this information is given by the district nurse at the health centre. It is important to get a better knowledge of these persons experiences and how they used the information given to them.

Working horses in developing countries are mostly used for transportation. They are often owned by people with limited economical resources and lack of knowledge about how to take care of the horses and due to this the horses often suffer from problems such as dehydration, poor body condition, lesions and parasitic infections. The aim of this master thesis was to investigate if free veterinary care improved the health and hydration status of working horses in Nicaragua and it was performed as a part of a project called ?Free veterinary assistance for working horses and training of their owners as veterinary promoters in the Pacific coast of Nicaragua?. Five parameters were used to investigate whether free care improved the health of working horses in six towns along the Pacific Coast of Nicaragua.
