AimThe aim of this study has been to examine how health enhancement teachers in Montana, USA, view the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective.In what way does the health enhancement teacher think the importance of physical activity from a lifelong perspective could be presented?What resources are available for teachers to present the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective?MethodThe issue has been answered through qualitative interviews consisting of six health enhancement teachers, four women and two men, in Montana, USA. One of the teachers worked at an elementary school (for 30 years), three teachers worked at middle schools (20, 10 and 8 years of work experience) and two of the teachers interviewed worked at a high school (30 and 3 years).  ResultsThe majority of teachers feel that a wide variety of activities, adapted to an individual level, and the understanding of a healthy lifestyle are important in order for the teacher to present the value of physical activity from a lifelong perspective.The teachers felt they had sufficient material in order to present the value of physical activity, where the school budget provided the teachers with materials every year. In addition to the budget, all the teachers had 12 hours of professional development every year where they could attend conferences or their own choice of professional development.ConclusionWith the help in forms of professional development offered by the school, conferences, meeting with other teachers, and their own choice of development, the teachers instruction techniques could increase which could help the teachers to find the pupils? interest for different kinds of physical activities.KeywordsPhysical education and health, physical activity, SOC, sense of coherence..

Kartläggningen var från början en del av ett uppdrag från regeringen till länsstyrelsen. Uppdraget innebar att Länsstyrelserna på regional nivå ska ansvara för kompetensstöd när det gäller våldsutsatta kvinnor, barn som har bevittnat våld och våldsutövare, däribland hedersrelaterat våld. Det fastställdes att länsstyrelserna ska lämna in en samlad redovisning av insatserna som vidtagits i varje län. En samlad bild av länet ska kunna redovisas september 2012. Syftet med denna undersökning var att se över vilken kunskap och vilket stöd verksamheter och ideella organisationer erbjuder personer som utsätts för hedersrelaterat våld och förtryck.

Objective: From the patient?s perspective describe communication difficulties, which can arise, and how they are handled in their contact with public health care and illustrate their needs of communication.Method: A study of literature was carried out to receive a background and an insight in previous research concerning the subject area. Twelve women with hearing loss was asked to complete a questionnaire, with open questions, regarding communication difficulties in health care situations.Sample: For the literature review, scientific papers were selected via the database, PubMed using relevant keywords. Seven were selected for closer review. For the survey study twelve women were asked to participate which ten of those responded.Results: The study of literature shows that communication difficulties occur in public health care between patients with hearing loss and the nursing staff.

Diabetes är en av våra stora folksjukdomar. Av Sveriges befolkning är 3-4 procent diabetiker. Av de patienter som får diabetes är ca 90 procente typ 2 diabetiker. I de skandinaviska länderna är 10-15 procent av de som får diabetes över 65 år. En av de viktigaste sakerna för att må bra i sin sjukdom är att sköta sin egenvård som att hantera sin sjukdom med kost, motion och medicinering.

Bakgrund: För att kunna bemöta och förstå den demenssjuke behöver vårdaren ha kännedom om personens bakgrund. Vårdaren behöver även vara hänsynsfull och omtänksam för att ge en god omvårdnad. Även om personer med demenssjukdom har kommunikationsproblem betyder inte detta att personen inte har känsloupplevelser. Syfte: Studiens syfte var att belysa vårdarens bemötande av personer med demenssjukdom. Metod: Litteraturstudie som innefattar åtta artiklar som har kvalitetssäkrats.

This study aims to create an understanding of how employees relate to directives that come from a level above them in the hierarchy and is to be implemented in their working activities. This is studied by examining a case where a work group has tried to implement orders, given to them by the government and through a work group in the level above them in the organizations, concerning how employees working with child health care is to educate parents regarding the child convention. The method that have been use in this study is group interviews with 19 child health care nurses and the two main questions that are asked is why has it been difficult to implement the orders and how have the child health care nurses expressed their resistance to the changes, this since only five of the nurses had begun working with the child convention. The theories that have been used focus on how resistance towards change is expressed, organizational incapability and reluctance towards change, as well as how grass root bureaucrats relates to change. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that it is important to let the concerned parties participate from the beginning of the process, to minimize their reluctance to the changing process.

Type 2 diabetes is a growing disease in the population which includes that older people are a risk group. With the disease grows even cost?s. A lifestyle change is a major part of the treatment for type 2 diabetes. There are several factors that suggest positive effects on prevention among the elderly where, among other things, economic and health benefits are presented.

Bakgrund: Patienter som långvarigt behandlas med kvarliggande urinkateter får ofta problem med flödeshinder. En åtgärd som företas vid flödeshinder är spolning av urinkatetern, alternativet är att byta katetern. Otillräckligt vetenskapligt underlag för spolning gör att evidens saknas i frågan. Individuell katetervård rekommenderas. För närvarande saknas till stor del forskning om patienters upplevelse av kateterbehandling.

Bakgrund: Afasi är en komplikation som i 90 procent av fallen orsakas av stroke. Talcentrat i hjärnan blir skadat och personen får svårt att uttrycka sig verbalt och i skrift. Detta kan innebära en förändring i livsvärlden då kommunikationen med omgivningen minskar eller bryts helt. Syfte: Syftet är att studera hur individen kan uppleva sin livsvärld då afasi har uppstått till följd av stroke. Metod: Självbiografiska böcker har granskats och en kvalitativ ansats har använts.

Background: Because of the high unhealthy rates among women in the com-mune a project to reduce it have begun. For this reason we have been given the mission from the commune of Sotenäs to study the character of these women's health. Objective: To study the health among permanent employed women in the commune of Sotenäs. Method: Quantitative method. The data have been collected through question-naire survey.

ABSTRACT The persons whom the authorized nurse encounters in hospital wards and nursing homes are in great extent elderly persons. According to Wasserman (2000), about 30 to 40 percent among these, show signs of depression. To be aware of the signs of depression, and how an authorized nurse can support the patient is therefore of great value. The introduction to this study describes the symptoms of depression and how depression in elders is expressed. It also describes treatment possibilities and nursing aspects of concern. The aim of this study is to illustrate what possibilities the authorized nurse has to detect and to support the depressed elderly patient.

Background: It is required that health care professionals continuously work with patient safety and quality improvements, and the skills of registered nurses are significant in this work. However, quality improvement also requires commitment and knowledge about how to improve health care and ensure patient safety. There is a lack of studies that highlights the importance of supportive functions for this work. Nurses in clinical settings can be utilized as facilitators that make things easier for other health care professionals who are engaged in quality improvement and patient safety. In order to gain understanding about the significance and needs of nurses with a role of facilitator, it is urgent to learn from their experiences of facilitating quality improvement in health care.Aim: The aim was to study nurses? experiences of facilitating quality improvement of nursing care, patient safety and multi-professional collaboration in health care.Method: Semi-structured qualitative interviews were performed with ten registered nurses who had experience of being in the role of facilitators.

Den vanligaste orsaken till amputation är cirkulationsstörningar som vanligtvis orsakas av diabetes. Förlust av kroppsdel kan vara förödande och kräver en förmåga att anpassa sig till den nya situationen. Syftet med studien var att belysa de svårigheter en amputerad person kan utsättas för samt hur dessa svårigheter hanteras. Metoden var litteraturstudie med kvalitativ ansats baserad på sju vetenskapliga artiklar som analyserades utifrån manifest innehållsanalys. Resultatet visade att en förändrad kropp medför känslomässiga, fysiska och sociala svårigheter som påverkade känslan av helhet efter en amputation.

No accidents or injuries should occur because of our public health care. It should be a place with high security and good quality in order to avoid this type of accidents. This is a tough situation when the public health care organization should have as good quality as possible despite savings. It is difficult for middle managers to improve patient safety in the absence of money.The purpose of this study is to explain the work with patient safety that middle manager perform during saving times. The perspective we will look into is how they work with patient safety as an ongoing change.

Oavsett i vilket sammanhang vi befinner oss i så är ett gott bemötande av betydelse. Har vi dessutom en nedsatt kognitiv förmåga, såsom vid demenssjukdom, är bemötandet av ännu större betydelse. Sett ur ett vårdarperspektiv ligger olika fenomen till grund för ett gott bemötande. Bakgrund: Tidigare studier visar att bemötande har betydelse inom demensvården och bemötandet har beskrivits utifrån olika aspekter/perspektiv där bemötandets möjligheter och svårigheter diskuteras. Syfte: Studiens syfte vara tt belysa det goda bemötandet i demensvården.
