Syfte: Syftet med föreliggande litteraturstudie var att beskriva vilka faktorer som kan påverka patientens delaktighet i sin omvårdnad ur ett patientperspektiv. Syftet var även att beskriva de valda artiklarnas urvalsmetod. Metod: Litteraturstudien har en deskriptiv design. Elva artiklar användes varav nio artiklar med kvalitativ ansats, en artikel med kvantitativ ansats och en artikel med både kvalitativ och kvantitativ ansats.Resultat: Resultatet visade att det finns flera faktorer som påverkar patientens möjlighet till delaktighet i sin omvårdnad. Faktorer så som information, patientens delaktighet vid beslutsfattande samt bemötande påverkar patientens möjlighet till delaktighet i omvårdnaden.  Slutsats: Information var viktig för patientdelaktighet i sin omvårdnad.

Mål: Att undersöka effekten och behovet av en helande trädgård/ odlingterapi för barn med cancer och deras välbefinnande. Bakgrund: Barn som behandlas för cancer utsätts både för psykisk och fysisk påfrestning. Deras behandling är många gånger tuff och det förändrar hela deras tillvaro. Behandlingen fokuseras på det medicinska/fysiska hälsan, barnens psykiska välmående kan ibland bli åsidosatt. Risken att drabbas av posttraumatisk stress ökar för de som drabbats av cancer.

The Healing process of human bone can be aided by the presence of differentmaterials. A material that is transformed into bone when in contact with bone iscalled a boneconductive material. By transforming into bone the material reduces thetime that it takes to heal a fracture. This report is a study of existing boneconductivematerials on the market to see if there is a material available that would be suitable totest on larger fractures. Kroniska bensår är en både tids- och kostnadskrävande åkomma för samhället och ger sänkt livskvalitet för de drabbade. Läkningstiden kan variera från några månader upp till flera decennier och det finns inte i dag någon given behandlingsmetod. Elektrisk nervstimulering är en vedertagen metod för smärtlindring som i viss utsträckning även används med syfte att förbättra sårläkning vid kroniska bensår. Kunskaperna om dess användbarhet är dock dåligt spridd bland vård- och rehabpersonal. Syftet var att skapa en överblick av den publicerade litteraturen gällande elektrisk nervstimulering som kompletterande behandling vid kronsikt bensår.

The outdoor environment at Children's hospital, the University Hospital, Uppsala, is used by sick children at the Children's hospital, their families and the hospital staff. The staff at the Children's hospital wanted to render the site more attractive and available. This graduation thesis is a proposal about how the outdoor environment at the Children's hospital can be improved. The aim is to design an environment for the sick children, their families and the hospital staff that will serve as a place for relaxation and privacy, as well as for play and movement. In order to find support for the redesign of this site I read literature about theories concerning Healing environments, Healing gardens, children's play and designs for children.

In today?s hectic society more and more people experience stress and our lifestyle gives us a very limited chance to recover. For some it sometimes goes that far that they get burnt-out, they have pushed themselves to the ultimate limit. There are different methods and treatments to recover but one very efficient treatment is to spend time in a rehabilitation garden. There the patients get treated by therapeutics that uses the garden as the main tool.The fact that gardens and parks have a positive effect on humans have been used by people for a long time but it?s not until recently that the research has taken speed.

Background: Vacuum assisted closure, VAC, is a method which can benefit wound closure. There are not many reliable studies about the effects of VAC in different types of wounds. Previous studies have shown that patients have experienced pain during dressing changes.Aim: The aim of the study was to survey in what kind of wounds the vascular surgery ward have been using VAC, to study the treatment process of VAC and how it has been documented and also to investigate if patients with VAC experienced pain during dressing changes.Method: The patients were chosen from a ledger, which contained 77 patients that had been treated with VAC on the vascular surgery ward. Data were collected with a journal survey protocol.Results: The result is based on 67 patients with a total of 79 wounds. VAC was shown to have a good effect on wound Healing and infected surgical wounds were the most commonly wound category undergoing treatment with VAC.

It is common knowledge that our horses do occasionally hurt themselves and cause damage to their bodies. They also manage to do it in the most remarkable ways. The problem is not that they hurt themselves, because everybody does so from time to time. The problem is that they often experience difficulties with the Healing of the wounds. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie är att jämföra larvterapi och konventionella metoder vid behandling av svårläkta sår utifrån följande perspektiv: upprensning av sår, duration av sårläkning och patienternas upplevelse. Polit & Becks (2006) modell användes vid arbete med denna litteraturstudie. Sökning av relevant litteratur gjordes i tre databas: PubMed, CINAHL och The Cochrane Library. Relevanta artiklar granskades med hjälp av granskningsprotokollerna modifierade av författarna efter Willman (2006). Nio olika studier har undersökts i denna litteraturstudie.

In this paper I aimed to explore the bodily experiences and expressions that Christian charismatics interpret as religious.  The so-called presence of God and the so-called gifts of the spirit were in focus in the gathering of information. My purpose was to find out how the social community of the Christian charismatics affects the subjective bodily experiences that are interpreted as religious by the individual. The main questions were:1: How do Christian charismatics describe religious experiences and their effect on the body?2: What bodily expressions of religious experience can be observed in Christian charismatic contexts?3: Is there a common way of expressing the experience of God's presence (individually or in a group) and how, in this case, can any resemblance be explained?The methods used to answer these questions were qualitative interviews and participant observations, which then were analyzed by the anthropologist Thomas J. Csordas theory of embodiment.

An issue of central interest today is the aspiration for wholeness, on the one hand referring to the concept of ?Healing? (swed: helande), on the other hand to being ?whole? (swed: hel); body, mind, soul, spirit and relations. The need and desire to offer a more holistic experience is becoming prominent also within the Swedish Church. This paper addressed some events within the Swedish Church that cater to experiences of wholeness, with the aim of exploring how this is done in practise and how it?s rooted in Christian thought.

InkaHealing är en relativt ny företeelse på den religiösa arenan, men har redan etablerat organisationer i elva västländer. InkaHealing har uppenbara ytliga likheter med New age-rörelsen, men ingen tidigare forskning finns på detta område. Målet med denna uppsats är ett jämföra InkaHealing med New age för att utröna var denna nya rörelse egentligen hör hemma. Undersökningen visar att det finns grundläggande likheter mellan InkaHealing och New age, med endast få undantag. En klar slutsats begränsas dock samtidigt av problematiken kring begreppet New age..

In the Swedish abattoirs there are assistants that judge the slaughtered animals in regard to diseases and injuries. All diseases and injuries assign different codes. This master?s thesis is about code 42 which means injuries of different kinds like for example bruises etc. These injuries have risen during the transport from the farm to the abattoir lairage or during the stay at the lairage before slaughter.

Grön rehabilitering innebär att naturen används som ett läkande element tillsammans med den traditionella vita vården. Studien är baserad på intervjuer med både personal och deltagare inom tre utvalda verksamheter där grön rehabilitering bedrivs. Målgruppen är långtidssjukskrivna och fokus ligger på deras upplevelser av rehabiliteringen. Resultatet tyder på att naturen har en positiv inverkan på deltagarnas psykiska och fysiska läkeprocess; de får möjlighet att stanna upp och reflektera över sin situation. Resultatet har analyserats utifrån teorierna empowerment och känsla av sammanhang - KASAM.

Thermography is the assesment of the surface temperature of the horses body and it falls into the categori of physiological imaging. Thermography allows us to portray inflammation and changes in sympathetic tone in a graphical manner. The purpose of this study was to review thermography in equine medicine and to evaluate thermography as an aid in the diagnosis of lamness in horses. Thermography has been helpful to identyfy sprains, stress fractures, shin splints and soft tissue, tendon, ligamentous and nerv injuries and to monitor Healing processes during rehabilitation. Routine thermography may reveal inflammatory responses prior to clinical signs. In present study thermograpy gave especially valuabel information in two cases. In one horse reduced blood flow in a. saphena due to a thrombosis were visualised and in the other horse bilateral thoracolumbal radiculopati was diagnosed.
