In this Master's thesis, a direct-conversion receiver front-end has been designed in a 0.18um CMOS technology. Direct-conversion receivers (DCR) have obvious advantages over the heterodyne counterpart. Since the intermediate frequency (IF) is zero, the problem of image is circumvented. As a result, no front-end image reject filter is required and the channel selection requires only a low-pass filter, which makes it easy to integrate directly on chip. However, the DCR also suffers from several drawbacks such as extreme sensitivity to DC offsets, 1/f noise, local oscillator (LO) leakage/radiation, front-end nonlinearity and I/Q mismatch.

The purpose of this essay is to analyze how the Trojan prince Paris is described in the Iliad and in the movie Troy in regard to love and bravery. Thereafter an analysis of the similarities and differences between the Iliad and the movie Troy will be made. There will also be a discussion why there are differences between an epic story which was made for over two thousand years ago and a modern movie made in the twenty-first century. The differences will be based on the perspective ancient Greek culture versus filmmaking of the twenty-first century. Title: Strokes of music - Harmonic methods for modal music.The aim of this paper is to develop harmonic methods for music based on different modes or scales. It begins with an exploration of the music of Claude Debussy and then goes on with other methods and scales and also includes an analytic chapter and results at the end. With "strokes of music" I mean a musical technique, which has some parallels to how a painter can choose colors and palettes to express what he is looking for ? the freedom to choose between colors and palettes, or in music tones and scales ? to move between them by sudden or leading modulations, from the diatonic scales with alternative formations, to the symmetric spheres, to the melodic pentatonic scales and other alternative new formations, using plateauic solutions or chords in diatonic, functional and non-functional progressions. A scale can be used as tonality or subordinated and the harmonic rhythm can be both with no movement and fast paced.Syftet med detta dokument är att utveckla harmoniska metoder för musik som bygger på olika modus eller skalor.

Syftet med föreliggande uppsats har varit att undersöka den religiösa filmens påverkan på människans, och då främst ungdomars, uppfattning av religion. Studien har inriktat sig främst på två prominenta religiösa filmer, The Passion of the Christ och Kristi Sista Frestelse, men många andra religiösa filmer har tagits med i diskussionen för att göra en mer heltäckande bild möjlig. Mer specifikt har syftet varit att undersöka vilka budskap dessa två ovan nämnda religiösa filmer har och vill förmedla, vilka metoder som man använder för att göra detta och till sista huruvida ungdomarna i den empiriska undersökningen verkligen upplever att filmerna påverkat dem i någon utsträckning eller inte. Denna fråga har besvarats genom såväl undersökning av tidigare forskning, en litteraturstudie, men även genom en särskild empirisk undersökning i form av en kvalitativ enkätundersökning baserad på en visning av filmen The Passion of the Christ för undersökningsgruppen. Slutledningen som baserats på ovan nämnda tillvägagångssätt har blivit att de två filmerna jag valt att analysera båda har tydliga budskap som de vill förmedla till tittaren, dock är dessa huvudsakliga budskap hos filmerna sinsemellan djupt olika.

The task of constructing a transmission has been provided to us by Digital Engineering, which is a company located in Hovmantorp. After meeting with Digital Engineering we started immediately with the brainstorming to find different ideas with pen and paper. After having presented a number of concepts for the company, we had finally chosen a winner. For the gearbox to be able to work in a good way the tension must never exceed the strain limit of the material. A prototype of the gearbox was produced by TKB Modell.

Denna uppsats syftar till att dels skapa förståelse för hur lagidrottsmän upplever sitt yrke och sin vardag men också att skapa förståelse för hur dessa tänker kring framtiden då deras yrken präglas av korta karriärer. För att uppnå undersökningens syfte formulerades fyra frågeställningar: I vilken mån går tankarna om det goda arbetet att applicera på idrottsmän som arbetar inom lagidrott? Inkräktar yrkessfären något på den privata sfären? Om så, på vilka sätt? Hur ser dessa personer på framtiden och livet efter idrottskarriären? Vad motiverar lagidrottare i sitt yrke? Utgångspunkt i undersökningen har varit litteratur kopplad till tankarna om det goda arbetet, exempelvis Svenska metallindustriarbetareförbundets nio principer om det goda arbetet, Karaseks krav- och kontrollmodell samt work-life balance. Tidigare studier och litteratur som berör essensen; att leva som idrottsman berörs dessutom. Vi har använt en kvalitativ metod och utifrån befintliga teorier har sex intervjuer med lagidrottare inom fotboll och ishockey genomförts. Resultatet av intervjuerna redovisas genom övergripande återgivningar samt citat och analyseras därefter utifrån studiens teoretiska referensram. I slutsatsen återges studiens frågeställningar som också besvaras.

The purpose of this essay is to discuss different memory techniques used by pianists so I can feel secure while performing during concerts. How do pianists learn to memorise music? According to me, are certain memorisation techniques more effective than others? Do pianists use different methods depending on repertoire? To find my answers, I have studied two other pianists? outcomes on the subject as well as applied my chosen memorising techniques on five pieces from different epochs. These techniques include visualising my fingers when they play on the keyboard, listening to the pieces many times, practicing short specific parts one hand at a time, singing the melody while playing the accompaniment, studying the scores without playing, as well as analysing the harmonic sequences..
