The case method is a relatively new pedagogical method in Sweden that is based on students exercising their skills in the analysis of complex situations and problems that are based in reality and that help students to see a broader perspective and context.The purpose of this study has been to investigate, through interviews with students and teachers, the advantages and disadvantages of the case method in teaching geography.The results of the study show that both teachers and students share almost the same opinion. The conclusion is that the case method is a didactic method that is well suited for teaching geography, as it is based on reality and develops the students? ability to analyze, argue and find solutions in several areas within the subject of geography. If a student is strong in these skill areas they can really benefit from the application of the case method in the teaching of geography, but for students who are weaker in these skills, the case method can be a disadvantage.

Denna uppsats om 15 hp har syftet att undersöka hur man socialiseras in i rollen som student genom aktiviteter vid Ultuna Studentkår. Studentlivet kan sägas vara fullt av profana ritualer, rutiner och bär på ett utvecklat symbolspråk. Under sin studieperiod deltar många av studenterna i dessa aktiviteter. Med hjälp av handling och tal inbegrips de i, förvaltar och formar föreställningar om den egna rollen ? deras identitet som studenter och som blivande yrkesutövare.

AbstractWorking with students who have ADHD are today common in Swedish schools. Approximately 2-3 students per class have been diagnosed with ADHD and require greater demands on their teachers. The pupils have to be included and get the opportunities to develop in the way that suits the students best. The pupils themselves should not have to adapt to the school, it is the school that has to adapt to the pupils. The purpose of this paper is to examine how PE teachers work with students who have ADHD as they need to have adults around them that have insights on their special needs.

Syfte: Syftet var att studera hur lärare verksamma inom grundskolans senare år erfar och hanterar specialpedagogisk handledning.Teori och metod: Studien vilar på hermeneutisk forskningsansats och studien är genomförd som en kvalitativ studie med intervjuer med åtta lärare yrkesverksamma inom grundskolans senare år.Resultat: Handledningens utformning beskrivs av lärarna variera beroende på arbetsplats, uppdrag och handledare. Vissa organisationer har ett inarbetat system för handledning, där handledning finns som ett naturligt inslag i verksamheten, medan andra organisationer normalt inte tillämpar handledning. Studien visar på en distinktion mellan individuell konsultativ handledning och grupphandledning. Dessa två handledningsformer skiljs åt i syfte, initiering och utformning.Denna studie visar att handledarens roll kan ha stor påverkan på lärarnas lärande i relation till handledning. Samtliga lärare beskriver att handledning där handledaren intar en önskad roll fyller en trygghetsskapande funktion både i gruppen och i relation till den egna yrkesrollen, samtidigt som yrkeskompetensen och tilliten till den egna yrkesrollen hos lärarna ökar.

With the volume and availability of information increasing as fast as technological development in society a phenomenon called information overload has emerged. The purpose of our thesis was to investigate how university students experience this increase in volume and ease in access to information. In our study we concentrated our focus on the student?s use of electronic resources. So as not to prejudice our study group our questions focused on different aspects of searching for information.

This essay is an attempt to portray and explain my work as a dance pedagogue as well as an epistemological overview of the skills and knowledge I use when I teach. The study is phenomenologically oriented and the examples used are from the years when I was teaching at the University College of Dance in Stockholm. The primary objective of the study was to illustrate the practical knowledge of my teaching by examining what lies in the mind and gaze of the dance pedagogue while teaching.Having finished my essay I realize that it has come to be primarily about the body. How the knowledge that is imprinted in my body can only be conveyed when I have a student to teach and how I feel that the intermediary of knowledge occurs. Other recurrent themes are the relations of thought and consciousness to the body.

In this thesis we study four groups of students in grade 8, 9 and 10 when they try to solve a classical mathematical problem: Which rectangle with given circumference has the largest area? The aim of the study was too see how the students did to solve a mathematichal problem?The survey shows that students have rather poor strategies to solve mathematical problems. The most common mistake is that students don?t put much energy to understand the problem before trying to solve it. They have no strategies.

Huvudsyftet med denna undersökning har varit att undersöka och jämföra lärares och elevers uppfattningar av lärares arbete med elevinflytande i engelska A-undervisningen på gymnasiet. Det andra syftet har varit att beskriva hur den nya ämnesplanen för engelska (Gy 2011) förändrats vis-a-vis ämnesplanen och kursplanerna för engelska (Gy 2000) och vad dessa förändringar kan få för effekt på lärares fortsatta arbete med elevinflytande i engelskundervisningen. Undersökningen genomfördes med utgångspunkt i följande huvudfrågeställningar: (1) hur förhåller sig lärare respektive elever till begreppet elevinflytande samt (2) vilka förändringar återfinns i de nya styrdokumenten för engelskundervisningen i Gy 2011 och hur kan det påverka lärares arbete med elevinflytande?Metoderna som tillämpats i undersökningen har varit kvalitativa semi-strukturerade intervjuer med lärare och elever, en enkätundersökning som riktades till elever och en jämförande textanalys av ämnesplanen för engelska Gy 2011 och Gy 2000. Dessa tre metoder valdes med utgångspunkten att kunna triangulera och på så vis jämföra det insamlade datamaterialet.

Följande rapport behandlar genomförandet av det examensarbete som utgör avslutet på Civilingenjörsutbilnildningen inom maskinteknik med inriktning mot konstruktion vid Luleå tekniska universitet, Luleå. Arbetet har utförts av Johan Marklund i ett nära samarbete med JAMA Mining Machines, Skelleftehamn. Den största delen av utvecklingsarbetet har skett på plats hos JAMA med endast ett antal avstämningsmöten med extern handledare på LTU i Luleå. Det huvudsakliga målet i arbetet är att skapa en ny konstruktion för midjeleden på det chassie som ett antal av JAMAs maskiner baseras på. This graduation paper treats e-mobbing via the different communication medias of the mobile phone. The purpose of the research has been to describe student?s experience of e-mobbing via the mobile phone?s different integrated functions as phone calls, sms, mms and e-mail.In this poll investigation asked 100 students of 15-20 years of age.The interviews made have shown that girls are more exposed to e-mobbing, e.g. indirect mobbing. In my research it is possible to see that girls are more exposed than boys to threats of violence via sms, the spreading of rumours and the danger of being called different things.It is also possible to see in the result of the interviews that the mobber wants to experience power, something which is not unusual in all types of mobbing.
