In this bachelor thesis a complete prototype of an industrial vibration measurement platform has been developed. By measuring a number of variables such as acceleration, temperature and speed conclusions can be drawn on machinery health. The aim is to evaluate hardware and software solutions for a possible future product. Based on a requirement specification a proper hardware design has be developed. The hardware consists of a four-layer PCB with an ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller and about 250 other components. The PCB was designed, assembled, tested and finally housed in a box.

This bachelor thesis investigates the discourses on violence among pupils in a school environment. The overall aim is to gain knowledge on how it is researched, interpreted and understood. The methods employed are genealogical analysis, discourse analysis and intersectional analysis. The analyzed texts consist of research reports, articles, dissertations and government authority guidelines. The theoretical framework drawn upon is post modernistic theory, social constructivism and intersectional theory.

This thesis was carried out at Atlas Copco Tools and Assembly Systems. The purpose hasbeen to develop a design tool to be used for development of new electric motors for AtlasCopcos electric nutrunners. The focus of the thesis has been to increase productivity bydecreasing the power losses in an electric tool. The productivity is defined as themaximum number of tightenings a nutrunner can perform without becoming too hot.Before starting the development of this design tool an existing Matlab script, whichcalculates the losses in a slotless electric motor, has been studied and modified torepresent the real losses in a better way. The modification has been made by performingpractical studies of different losses and then adjusting existing parameters in the Matlabscript.Because design changes in one part of a mechatronic system can lead to a decrease inperformance of another part the choice of parameters that can be changed has been madeso that other parts of the system is affected as little as possible.A study of the existing tools efficiency during an entire tightening has been made toincrease the understanding of when and where the different losses appear and to comparethe modified Matlab script with the measured values.The design tool was formed so that it executes the Matlab script, that calculates thelosses, for a number of different design options and stores the alternative which producesthe least losses.

Bakgrund: Ett flertal studier visar på att följsamhet i handhygien bland sjukvårdspersonal är låg.Syfte: Den föreliggande studien syftade till att identifiera vilka hinder som försvårar följsamheten i handdesinfektion för sjuksköterskor och undersköterskor.Metod: Undersökningen utfördes på tre slumpmässigt utvalda vårdavdelningar på ett sjukhus i Mellansverige i mars 2014. Sjuksköterskor och undersköterskor besvarade en enkät som konstruerats för studien.Resultat: Av studiens tilltänkta undersökningsgrupp (n=110) svarade 70 vilket motsvarar en svarsfrekvensen på 64 %. Resultatet visar att det var vanligare att desinfektera händerna efter patientkontakt än före.  Det som i störst utsträckning angavs som hinder till att utföra handdesinfektion var tidsbrist och brist på tillgängligt handdesinfektionsmedel. Sjuksköterskor angav att de utför handdesinfektion i lägre utsträckning till följd av brist på tillgängligt handdesinfektionsmedel än undersköterskorna. Vidare framkom att de med kortare arbetserfarenhet än genomsnittet (14,3 år) angav i större utsträckning än de med längre arbetserfarenhet att de inte utförde handdesinfektion.Slutsats: Vårdpersonal uppger att det är vanligare att desinfektera händerna efter patientkontakt än före, liksom att tidsbrist och brist på tillgängliga handdesinfektionsmedel utgör tydliga hinder för god följsamhet i handdesinfektion.

This is a qualitative interview study about intellectually disabled parents and their children. I have conducted interviews with six professional staff who have some experience working with intellectually disabled persons. In my investigation I used vignettes and those I interviewed had to read the same story about Anders and Britta in preparation for the interview. The six persons whom I interviewed were: a midwife at a mother care centre, a nurse at a child health centre, a social welfare officer at a rehabilitation centre, a "LSS administrator" at a local authority, and two social welfare secretaries. One of the two welfare secretaries works to assess the social situation of children and the other one works with fostercare.The conclusion that I have drawn is that the relationship between intellectually disabled parents and their children is very important.

With a shifting world market and periodically profitability issues, Swedish farmers seekalternative ways to enhance their profitability. One interesting alternative to get a highervalue and enhance products is biodiesel, a way to improve the profitability on a farmscale.The diesel that is produced and sold, already have a mixture of 5% biodiesel, andthere is a possibility to add more biodiesel to it. By developing new engines severalengine-manufacturers now allow a mixture up to 100% biodiesel in their engines. Hencethere is a market for an increased production of biodiesel. The aim of this study were toinvestigate the possibilities and the problems related to farm-scale production ofbiodiesel, and to study the profit margin in the production.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med denna studie var att undersöka om några utvald lärare anser att leken kan bidra till ett lärande och om lärarna använder sig av lek för att nå lärandet, samt undersöka hur lärarna ser på leken i allmänhet. Ett aningen dolt syfte var även att genom studien försöka få lärarna att själva börja reflektera över deras egen undervisning, lek och lärandet.Frågeställningar:? Vad anser lärarna att lek och lärande är?? Anser lärarna att lärande skapas via leken?? Används leken i lärarnas undervisning för att nå ett lärande?MetodEn kvalitativ intervjumetod användes för att försöka få en så närliggande bild av lärarnas syn på om de anser att lek bidrar till ett lärande. De intervjuade var två kvinnor och två män, samtliga är utbildade lärare med allt ifrån 7-34 år inom skolväsendet. Lärarna arbetar på 3 närliggande skolor och är i åldrarna 38-68 år.

This essay examines the poetry of the Swedish writer Ivar Conradson (1885-1968). Itanalyzes his work in the context of the European literary scene of the late 19th century, inparticular symbolism and impressionism. Conradson has been considered a symbolist and amysticist by critics and scholars, who claim that his poetry expresses a strong religious ethos,influenced by biblical rhetoric as regards style.While this study does not refute the common view of Conradson, it argues that his earlyworks differ from his later works, where indeed religious and mystical themes can be found.This difference can thus be seen both on stylistic and thematic levels. Using the structuralistmethod of Roman Jakobson and Jurij Lotman, and a phenomenological analysis based on thephilosophy of Maurice Merleau-Ponty and Hannah Arendt, this study examines bothsymbolist and impressionist stylistic devices and themes in Conradson?s literary debutSkyarne (1906).

Present master of science thesis has been carried out at the Swedish Road Administration consulting services (Vägverket Konsult) in Karlstad. The purpose of the study is to investigate how well the calculated drawdown of the groundwater table predicts the actual drawdown when the road and railway gates at the studied sites are built. For this purpose the groundwater levels at the three bridges were measured during 6 months. The bridges in question are two railway bridges situated in Ölme and Ulvåker and one road bridge crossing a pedestrian and cycling path in Lidköping.In Ölme the calculated area of influence was smaller than the measured one. Denna uppsats undersöker relationen mellan levnadsvanor och attityder till munhälsa hos ungdomar. Syftet har varit att undersöka om det finns skillnader i levnadsvanor och attityder till munhälsa när det gäler kön och ålder, samt om det finns samband mellan olika levnadsvanor och attityder. Jag har gjort en kvantitativ undersökning med fokus på kön och ålder. Undersökningen genomfördes med enkät som datainsamlingsinstrument. Enkäterna lämnades ut till tre högstadieskolor och respondenterna bestod av två klasser år 7 och två klasser år 9 på varje skola.

The main purpose of this master?s thesis is to examine how high school students evaluate the quality of the information available on the online encyclopedia Wikipedia. By doing quantitative research based on questionnaires we expected to find that the means for judging that students use in this situation are most frequently based on a text?s intrinsic qualities in the point of view of its content. It was also our presupposition that 18 and 19 year old high school graduates have received some education in information research and authoritative sources on the Internet.

Research within gender and leadership has often focused on leaders in male dominated work areas, but quite recently interest has arise for examine leadership in female dominated work areas. This thesis analyzes possible differences connected to theories about gender stereotypes that may exist among male and female leaders within a female dominated organization. Further, possible underlying reasons to why or why not differences between genders might be found are investigated. The research question is addressed through a single embedded case study design at the Swedish public organization Försäkringskassan. The primary focus is middle managers, and twenty qualitative interviews were conducted with leaders and co-workers at two local offices and at the organizations headquarter.

This Master?s thesis explores and describes the beliefs, values and norms in a selection of five Swedish municipal cultural policy documents approved 2005-2007. The comprehensive question is: Which ideological traits characterize cultural policy in the chosen municipalities as communicated in their respective cultural policy vision document? The method used is ideology analysis. Ideal types based on a model by Dorte Skot-Hansen are used as a conceptual framework, illustrating three different rationalities in relation to cultural policy: the humanistic, the sociological and the market oriented.

Detta är ett kandidatarbete i trädgårdsdesign som behandlar gestaltning med vinterfägring. Genom ett mentorsprojekt mellan Lomma kommun och SLU fick jag en förfrågan av parkchef Lennart Persson om att utforma gestaltningsförslag med vacker vinterfägring. Syftet med arbetet har således varit att utforma tre intressanta och inspirerande förslag med praktfulla prydnadsplanteringar för området intill Storgatan och Karstorpsvägen i Lomma. I arbetet finns också en platsanalys som bygger på Catherine Dee?s teori The seven-part morphology.
