The aim of this study was to describe and analyse the constructions andinterplay of gender, ethnicity and sexuality between female and male careworkersand residents in a nursing home. To explore this from a qualitativeeveryday life?s approach, material was collected through participating observations,interviews, and informal conversation with careworkers and residents.The result points out that historical patterns of gender and caring relatedto this context still matter and affect both careworkers and residents. Forexample, female careworkers talked about the concept of caring as a genuinefemale experience, while male careworkers, who were in a minority, insteadtalked about caring in more gender-neutral words. The result also indicatesthat a larger number of male careworkers not necessarily leads to a highergrade of gender equality.

Today more effective computer programs are in use, regarding design of geotechnicalconstructions. There is a risk that the theoretical background of the computerprograms, its limitations and the signification of the choice of soil parameter isforgotten when the computer programs become more user-friendly.This Master thesis deals with simulation and analysis regarding three computerprograms, FEM-design, with the addition Raft, Plaxis and BE-slab. Comparisons aremade for settlement and maximum moment in a concrete-plate. FEM-design is a threedimensional FEM-program, foremost created for design engineers. Plaxis is a twodimensional FEM-program, intended for geotechnical engineers while BE-Slab is aBoundary elements program in two dimensions that is mainly used by designengineers.

The purpose of this essay is to discuss different memory techniques used by pianists so I can feel secure while performing during concerts. How do pianists learn to memorise music? According to me, are certain memorisation techniques more effective than others? Do pianists use different methods depending on repertoire? To find my answers, I have studied two other pianists? outcomes on the subject as well as applied my chosen memorising techniques on five pieces from different epochs. These techniques include visualising my fingers when they play on the keyboard, listening to the pieces many times, practicing short specific parts one hand at a time, singing the melody while playing the accompaniment, studying the scores without playing, as well as analysing the harmonic sequences..

The purpose of this paper is to test a procedure that would be useful for a certain, more final purpose. Assume that you want to know if the differences in the result of a certain effort in health care have any connection with differences between the life situations of the patients. This would be easier to investigate if the life situations of the patients had connection to the easily available variable Health Care Cost (in Swedish VK). In that case the searching for connections between VK of patient groups and the result of health care efforts would be sufficient to gain knowledge of possible connection between health care efforts and life situations. Detta arbete behandlar strategisk ekonomistyrning i företag som har projekt som generell arbetsform. Generellt sett har ekonomistyrning utvecklats för att dels försäkra sig om att, och dels för att inspirera, medlemmarna i organisationen att sträva mot verksamhetens mål. Hur använder sig projektföretag av ekonomistyrningen? Finns det skillnader mellan hur företagen styr ?över? sina projekt och ?styr i? sina projektgrupper? Hur kan man uppnå högre målkongruens? Syftet med arbetet har varit att i första hand beskriva ekonomistyrnings aktiviteter i ett företag som har projekt som generell arbetsform och i andra hand försöka ge de generella principerna för användandet av ett ekonomistyrningssystem för att hjälpa ledningen att nå högre målkongruens i sina projekt. Det är ytterst viktigt att tillämpa styrning av medlemmarna för att uppnå målkongruens och styrning förutsätter individer, som medverkar i processen, där en individ styr en annan eller flera andra individer.

Sammanfattningsvis pekar resultaten av mina intervjuer på att de intervjuade pedagogerna i första hand anger att skälen till att de söker specialpedagogisk handledning är på grund av ett eller flera barns avvikande beteende. De söker stöd och bekräftelse i sitt arbete med barnen och de förväntar sig pedagogiska råd och tips för att bättre kunna hantera olika situationer. Jag kunde också konstatera att effekterna av handledningen gav pedagogerna ett ökat självförtroende som i flera fall ledde till en generell pedagogisk utveckling till följd av handledningens rum för reflektion..

The purpose of this thesis is to study how swedishness is constructed and narrated in two Swedish documentary series that picture the Swedish participation in the international ISAF mission in Afghanistan. The main focus lies on how the Swedish soldier as such is portrayed, on which values, characteristics and qualities that they are said to embody and how these are linked to notions of swedishness, particularly the strong historical narrative, formed during the second half of the twentieth century, that defines Sweden as a peaceful, neutral and humanitarian state, with peaceful, enlightened and democratically minded citizens. Theoretically it draws on the concept of metanarrative to explain how ideas of shared national origin translates in to a broad organizing discourse, that defines, interprets and communicates notions of what it means to be a Swede and what is needed to make claims on swedishness. Another concept, that of national bodyscape, is also used to further define and explain how ideas of nationality are embodied and take the form of specific characteristics and  personal qualities. The meaning-making in these two series makes use of the above mentioned definition of swedishness as defined by humanitarian concerns, democratic ideals and moral superiority to construct an image of the Swedish soldiers as on the one hand soft, humanitarians, who are needed in Afghanistan because of their especially strong sense of justice and moral, and, on the other, as tough soldiers, who are able to participate in every aspect of the war as fighters.

Modellen betraktas numera i princip som utmönstrad och culpa­bedömningen anses istället ta sin utgångpunkt i akt­samhets­­­normer uttryckta i lag, före­skrifter, praxis och sedvana (där BPF används som tankemodell). Om inte ovanstående ger svar görs en fri bedömning som utgår från The Learned Hand Formula (LHF) där hänsyn tas till risken för skada, den eventuella skadans storlek och skade­vållarens möjligheter till att före­­komma skadan.

Arbetets huvudsakliga syfte har varit att jämföra ett antal olika bergarters förmåga att binda till sig bitumen. I dag levereras stora mängder makadam till tillverkning av asfalt. Ett av de krav som ställs på materialet är just vidhäftningsförmågan vilken har stor betydelse för beläggningens funktion. Eftersom detta är en så pass viktig fråga, om en viss sten lämpar sig till asfaltstillverkning har vi valt att titta närmare på en metod som tillåter att testas på en ren sten. Detta möjliggör att man inte behöver tillverka en asfaltsmassa först.

The thesis explores how the category religion is used discursively in Swedish public debates and in what way the discourses can be related to debate-positions. The thesis also exploresquestions of power and how social identities are negotiated: which identities are madepossible ? and encouraged ? by the discourse, and which are being excluded?The specific cases chosen are: (i) the election of Omar Mustafa as a substitute member of the governing board of the Social Democratic party in April 2013, (ii) the appointment of Elisabeth Svantesson as Minister of employment in September 2013, (iii) the debate concerning male circumcision (2011-2013), and, (iv) the debate about Jewish home education(2012-2013).The theoretical and methodological perspectives used in the thesis are discourse analysis and Pierre Bourdieu?s theory of social fields, usually interwoven together. Discourse analysis is mainly used to explore how the category of religion is attached to central binaries in the debates such as faith/politics, private/public, secularism/fundamentalism, etc., and also how chains of equivalences are established. Bourdieu?s theory of social fields is used tocontextualize the discourses in the specific debates and relate them to orthodox and heterodox debate-positions.

Numera kallas de flesta personer som tillämpar avancerad matematik inom finans för kvantanalytiker. I dagsläget är merparten av större analyshus, banker, försäkringsbolag och hedgefonder beroende av kvantanalytikerDen här uppsatsen behandlar följande frågeställning:Hur fungerar kunskapshantering och innovation inom kvantgruppen hos Länsförsäkringar AB?För att besvara denna frågeställning har en litteraturstudie och en fallstudie utförts.

Varför jag valde att skriva detta arbete var för att jag ville få igång en diskussion, med i första hand barnen men också med pedagogerna och mellan pedagogerna, om hur viktigt det är att vi spar på naturens energi. Jag tror också att med dagen slit och släng samhälle mår barnen bra av att lära sig att man kan ge något tillbaka till naturen genom att återanvända gammalt material. Sortering är något barn ofta tycker är roligt och detta bör vi ta till vara på inom förskolan. Jag hoppas att det här ger barnen en rutin och att de i framtiden kommer att kännas självklart för dem att sortera sina sopor..

Syftet med vår uppsats är att undersöka hur yrkesrollen ser ut för LSS-/funktions¬hinder¬hand¬läggare i Göteborg. Vi har även tittat närmare på relationen till den egna organisationen samt relationen till andra yrkesgrupper.Våra frågeställningar är:Hur ser LSS-/funktionshinderhandläggarnas relation till den egna verksamheten ut?I hur stor utsträckning anser LSS-/funktionshinderhandläggarna att deras gränser och ansvarsområden är tydligt definierade gentemot andra yrkesgrupper?I hur stor utsträckning anser LSS-/funktionshinderhandläggarna att de har en tydligt definierad formell respektive informell yrkesroll?Vi har använt oss av kvantitativ metod i form av en webbenkät riktad till alla LSS-/funktions¬hinder¬hand¬läggare i Göteborg. Vi har i vår analys av materialet använt oss av rollteori, pro-fessionsteori samt tidigare forskning. Uppsatsen är till stor del kvantitativ i sitt upplägg men har kvalitativa inslag i analysen.
