This thesis analyzes the effects of export subsidies on Swedish cereal export. The analyzes are based on data on cereal export from Sweden to countries outside the EU from 1990 to 2003. In 1995 Sweden became a member of the European Union. Before the membership, the Swedish agricultural policy was decoupled in a larger sense than the European CAP was, which means that the Swedish producers had decreased their production more than the European farmers. When Sweden became a member of the EU the production started to increase again to an EU level.

Anledningen till att examensarbetet ?Mångkultur, historia och samhälle? gått från tanke till handling är en gryende insikt om ett komplext cirkulärt förhållande där orsak och verkan går hand i hand. Ett förhållande som medför att samhället påverkar skolan som i sin tur påverkar samhället. Insikten om skolans och lärarens roll i denna förändringsprocess är drivkraften i detta examensarbete. Sedan en längre tid tillbaka är Sverige ett mångkulturellt samhälle.

Denna uppsats syfte är att undersöka tvåspråkiga elevers syn på sin egen tvåspråkighet och hur de upplever att den blir bemött i skolan. Vidare var vårt syfte att undersöka hur lärarna ser på elevernas tvåspråkighet och ställer dessa attityder och föreställningar mot varandra. För att uppnå detta syfte har det gjorts sju kvalitativa forskningsintervjuer varav fyra är med pedagoger och tre är med två elever åt gången. Intervjuerna utfördes i en mångkulturell skola i en av de största städerna i Sverige. Resultaten som framkommit genom denna studie går hand i hand med studier utförda av bland andra Otterup (2008).

Syftet med studien är att få ta del av verksamma lärares upplevelse av arbetet med LTG-metoden, ljudmetoden samt metoden att skriva sig till läsning. Likaså är studiens syfte att kartlägga lärares inställning till olika hjälpmedel som finns att använda i läs- och skrivinlärningen såsom läromedel, elevproducerat material, skön- och facklitteratur, medier, populärkultur och IKT. Vi intervjuade sex lärare verksamma i årskurs ett till tre för att ta del av deras tankar och upplevelser.Intervjuerna visade att alla lärare använder sig av samtliga läs- och skrivmetoder och tycker att de bör gå hand i hand för att eleverna ska får bästa möjliga förutsättningar att lära sig läsa och skriva och känna glädje inför skriftspråket. Som en röd tråd genom samtliga metoder nämns den glädje som vissa delmoment i metoderna ger inför skrivandet och läsandet. Även lärarens betydelse är genomgående; är inte läraren positiv och engagerande sker inget lärande oavsett metod.

AimThe aim of this study was to try to understand youngsters and their attitude to alcohol in the countryside and in a large city. The questions at issue have been: How do youngsters from the countryside, who drink, and do not drink alcohol, view the school- family- and friendsituation? How do youngsters from a large city, who drink, and do not drink alcohol, view the school- family- and friendsituation? Can we understand youths? attitude to alcohol on basis of the factors: School, family and friends? Are there any differences and similarities?MethodInterviews have been implemented with four youngsters in a large city and in the countryside. To gain as much as possible from the interviews a questionnaire was distributed to two classes in year nine in the countryside, and one class in the large city. The interview material was analysed on the basis from earlier research and two theoretical models.ResultsAccording to the youngsters that drink, both in the countryside and the large city, the most common view in school was that high demands are put on the youngsters and that they should study more then they do.

With the globalization, companies in the West chose to shift production to developing countries to cut down costs. This had a major impact when child labor and very poor working conditions in these factories were discovered and led many companies to take responsibility for their suppliers and the employees by adopting voluntary so-called Codes of Conduct.There is a subtle balance to enforce improvement of working conditions for employees at suppliers´ factories and to keep costs down. On the one hand, companies would like to conduct extensive audits at their suppliers to ensure code of conduct compliance and thus protect their legitimacy. On the other hand, audits are expensive so companies would like to minimize audits to keep costs down. Companies thus have to strike a delicate balance in relation to how many and what suppliers they choose to audit.

The purpose of this research has been to find out whether and how teachers stimulate and motivate well achievers in the elementary school to reach a higher level. To gather information I visited two different schools within the same county in Stockholm and on each school I met and interviewed with two teachers. The answers received from these interviews are presented in this study as my results. I found that the teachers feel that students that do well in the classroom many times work as role models for the other students. Often these students require extra material as they usually finish their workload ahead of others.

Projektanställningen är en av de atypiska anställningsformer som faller under begreppet tidsbegränsade anställningar och anses vara den mest gynnade gruppen inom samlingsnamnet. Genom en kvalitativ intervjustudie baserad på 8 djupintervjuer ämnar uppsatsen ge en ökad bild av intervjupersonernas upplevelser av hur arbetslivets sfär och den privata sfären kombineras och inverkar på varandra. Analysen utgår från en teoretisk referensram bestående av sociologerna Sennett, Giddens, Castells, Beck, Berger & Luckmann samt Bauman. Resultaten tyder på att arbetslivet har en starkt identitetsskapande effekt och att anknytningen till arbetet, de sociala relationerna i individernas kontaktnät, upplevs som starka. I studien framkommer att intervjupersonerna som under lång tid arbetat som projektanställda inom mediebranschen upplever arbetet som givande, intressant och möjlighetsskapande.

Microsoftdomen grundar sig i att Microsoft vägrat lämna ut interoperabilitetsinformation till en av sina konkurrenter (Sun). Sun menar att detta konstituerar ett missbruk av dominerande ställning och lämnar in ett klagomål till Kommissionen som påbörjar en utredning. Kommissionen börjar dessutom på egen hand utreda huruvida Microsofts integration av Windows Media Player i sitt operativsystem (Windows) kan utgöra ett missbruk. Den 17 september 2007 blev Microsoft dömda av Förstainstansrätten för missbruk av dominerande ställning. Detta ledde till ett par påföljder för Microsofts del.

On board ships different type of maintenance activities take place. Some of those require working with vibrating handheld tools. Traditionally there is a high awareness of the risks with different type of duties such as protecting the skin from oil or other chemicals, the eyes from splashes and hearing from high noise levels. The experience we have from our time as on-board cadets are that there is less information about vibration hazards available compared to the information concerning other hazards on board.There are threshold values that workers, by law, are not allowed to exceed when working with handheld vibrating tools. The purpose of this study is to investigate how common the use of this type of equipment that can cause damage by vibrations, to the hands and arm amongst the deck crew, and if the crew informed about the risks involved.

On Nasdaq OMX Nordic Stockholm there has been a large increase in issues of preferred stocks since the financial crisis 2008. Aiming to explain whether preferred stocks have most of their characteristics relating to debt or equity, we answer four sub questions. Do all preferred stocks share the same features, or do they differ from each other? Our population is similar in characteristics, except for the preferred stock of Swedbank which is convertible and deviates when it comes to participation in dividends - instead of convertible the others are limited and redeemable. Further, the second sub question treats preferred stock in relation to the common stock quantitatively, in market data.

Abstrakt Produkten som jag har utvecklat är en mjukvarubaserad 3D-renderare. För att göra en sådan produkt är man tvungen att gå djupt in i området 3D och utföra alla beräkningar på egen hand. Dessa tar annars grafikkortet hand om. Denna rapport förklarar varför jag har valt att göra en egen mjukvarubaserad 3D- renderare och vad den är för något och i vilka områden den används. Här förklaras även min syn på programmering, digitala spel, vad programmering innebär för mig och hur min syn på spel har påverkat mig med tiden. Jag tar även upp mina tankar om spelindustrin och samhällets misstolkade värderingar av spel samt vad för sorts spel jag anser skulle gynna mänskligheten i framtiden. Vad jag tycker om utbildningen Digitala spel nämns också samt hur jag tror att den skulle kunna förbättras. Slutligen följer en kortfattad beskrivning av hur mitt projekt har genomförts.
