This report is about how to decide which method is the most suitable as floor covering at projectKlammerdamm in the centre of Halmstad. The covering has to be fire resistant and soundproof inorder to protect the wood structure and stop noise from traveling between apartments. There aretwo possibilities either traditional gypsum board or gypsum-based self leveling underlayment.The roads around the construction site are narrow. A regular twenty-five meter long truck has nopossibility to reach the site. The construction site is small and the storage area is limited.

High heels ? a fashion that has not gone out of style after hundreds of years. Despite their esthetic advantages, high heels become uncomfortable and harmful after repetitive and long term use. With this as a starting point, Huyen Nguyen ? a student at the Innovation Engineering Program at the University of Halmstad ? decided to make a final thesis project. The project goal has been to combine the esthetic advantages of high heels and bring a comfortable solution to the equation.

In this paper five different commonly used methods of making a mount for a costume in along term display was investigated: The shaping of a mannequin and a polystyrene dressstand, the making of a gypsum torso, support made out of plexiglas and polycarbonte and athree dimensional mount on a board. The materials of the mounts were thoroughly takeninto consideration and described in the paper. One of the methods was put into practice in acase study of a Russian uniform dress coat. A gypsum torso was considered to be the mostappropriate mount in this case. The dress coat was to be displayed at the Garnisons- ochluftvärns museum in Halmstad.

Syftet med undersökningen är att få en bättre förståelse för hur fyra organisationerskriskommunikation kan se ut med dagens kommunikationsteknologi. Kommunikationsteknologidefineras i undersökningen som sociala medier, mer specifikt Facebook. In this master?s thesis real settlements for the over consolidated clay below Arenahallen in Halmstad are compared with two different models for settlement calculations; Chalmersmodellen without creep and Chalmersmodellen with creep. Chalmersmodellen with creep is based on Terzaghi?s consolidation theory with an addition to creep. The purpose has been to find out whether Chalmersmodellen with creep can be used for this clay or if Chalmersmodellen without creep should be used instead.

Furthermore, recently developed storage technologies make it possible to balance energy demand with stored energy and integrate district heating with the local power grid. I Halmstads kommun har det de senaste åren genomförts ett projekt som heter Hälsotramparna. Syftet med detta projekt har främst varit att sänka koldioxidutsläppen inom kommunen, men målet har dessutom varit att visa på vinster ekonomiskt och hälsomässigt.För att se om mål uppnåtts och om den påverkan man velat åstadkomma lett till förändring är det viktigt att projektet utvärderas. Det vi har för avsikt att genomföra är en kvalitativ utvärdering utav Hälsotramparna 2008. Forskningsfrågan har varit varför personerna som deltog valde att antingen fortsätta eller inte fortsätta med den aktivitet projektet syftade till, och vad osm låg bakom detta?.

This thesis has been carried out in collaboration with the IT Company MPQ consulting AB in Halmstad. The task we were assigned by MPQ concerned the development of a scooter that can be used year round. We have with the companydeveloped the criteria and requirements for the product in which the goal is toproduce a primary solution that meets the set criteria and fall within the project'sboundaries.The project involves a wide range of different design methods for idea generationand idea development. The project also addresses engineering methods such asprinciple and primary engineering. Occurringmethods in the project include FredyOlsson principle and primary engineering in cooperation with SVID's - Swedishindustrial design process, etc.The final solution will be presented in the form of sketches, CAD models withassociated drawings and a rendering from the program Keyshot..

Problem: Forskning finns avseende vilka lägespreferenser köpare av småhus vanligen föredrar (Betts & Ely, 2008). Forskning finns även avseende hur marknadsföringspsykologi i form av varumärken påverkar konsumentens val av en vara (Arnold, 1993). Däremot har författarna till denna uppsats inte lyckats hitta annan forskning som kopplar samman marknadsföringsteori och bostadsområden, det vill säga hur varumärket påverkar köparens val av bostadsområde i samspel med praktiska faktorer. Studien vill även undersöka hur trendsättare som exempelvis kända personer och yrkesmän inom bostadsbranschen, kan påverka hur ett bostadsområdes efterfrågan kan komma att öka.Syfte: Studiens syfte är att undersöka vilka faktorer som kan få ett bostadsområde att öka alternativt minska i attraktivitet.Metod: För att komma fram till syftet har både kvalitativa och kvantitativa undersökningar utförts. Genom att noggrant välja ut fastighetsmäklare verksamma i Halmstad, har det genom öppna intervjuer framkommit viktig kunskap om vilka trender som råder på bostadsmarknaden i Halmstad.

Sedan a?r 2008 har installationstakten fo?r solceller i Sverige o?kat. A?r 2012 installerades 8,3 MW solceller och a?r 2013 mer a?n fo?rdubblades den installerade effekten till 19 MW (Lindahl, 2014).

The study has shown that retailers in the mid-price segment differentiate their brand through developing a strong company identity around the brand. The personality involves store atmosphere, merchandise and advertising. Larger companies have chosen to lay the responsibility on management level, which facilitates on store level. By controlling the strategies on a central level the company can make sure that the stores are steered in the direction that the company wants them to be steered in, and also that they follow the positioning-concept. The company can also devote its efforts to working with its core value, which is service.

The point of interest in this study is to identify whether ethnicity is a correlating factor regarding Hungarian immigrants? development of identity in Sweden. The general aim is to increase knowledge and understanding of the conditions for the Hungarian ethnical group in Sweden to reach self-realization. The main question is whether the general view of the background of this ethnical group has a connection to their self-realization in Sweden? Since the study involves a whole group of minority, a limitation has been made to adults living in the city of Halmstad, Sweden.

The purpose of this Master?s thesis is to examine what role the new city library in Halmstad has for its users. The questions posed in this study are: What do the users actually do at the library? What roles are the most significant according to the users? Have the politicians succeeded in their intention of realizing a modern library according to the users? The theoretical starting point is Andersson?s and Skot-Hansen?s theory of four different roles of public libraries. In order to extend the model we added a fifth function; the one of aesthetical experience.

I denna C-uppsats beskriver vi de organisations- och förändringsprocesser i välfärdssamhället som påverkat arbete inom vård och omsorg. Genom en kvalitativ studie av ett gruppboende i Halmstad studerar vi hur förändringsprocesser i välfärdssamhället påverkar enskilda verksamheter inom den offentliga sektorn. Vi belyser förhållandet mellan enhetschef och anställda som arbetar på boendet, hur dessa i samspel med välfärdssystemet hanterar förändringar som sker inom organisationer. Trots minskade hierarkiska nivåer formas arbete inom vård och omsorg fortfarande av direktiv och riktlinjer, vilka är utformade av ledningen för organisationen där bland annat politiker och Socialnämnd ingår. Hur anställda är påverkade av dessa riktlinjer samt enhetschefens arbetsledning belyser vi i studien.  .
