This report summarizes the development of a calculation program estimating the profitability of converting a peak-load oil-fired boiler to pellets. To convert an oil-fired boiler to pellets a new fuel handling system must be designed. Changes also have to be made to some other components. Since there are many different techniques for transportation, storage and treatment of the fuel only the most interesting techniques from Swecos experience and interest were included in the study.The capacity of the different parts in the system was dimensioned based on the power of the boiler after conversion. To estimate prices, installed power and dimensions manufacturers and distributers were contacted.

Risk-based sampling program of microorganisms in the water source in northern SwedenAfter several disease outbreaks caused by parasites in the drinking water during the last years, it is more essential than ever to insure that the water supply companies have enough barriers to counteract the presence of microorganisms in the outgoing water. It is also discussed whether climate changes such as increased precipitation can have a connection to the increased cases of parasites in water sources. The water source at GÀddvik is LuleÄ municipality?s largest and provides drinking water to 64 500 of LuleÄ?s 74 000 inhabitants. The investigation of microorganisms in the water source, especially in the Lule River has not been as prioritized as the sampling of chemical parameters.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att ta reda pÄ vilka tankar som finns angÄende helhetsperspektivet i den stundande gymnasiereformen Gymnasieskola 2007 (GY-07). För att fÄ reda pÄ detta intervjuades tvÄ rektorer och Ätta lÀrare som fick ge sin syn pÄ den kommande reformen. De tillhörde tvÄ olika program, ett studieförberedande respektive ett yrkesförberedande och dessa program kontrasteras mot varandra. Resultatet visar att alla informanter har en positiv instÀllning till reformen men att det yrkesförberedande programmet Àr mer positivt instÀllda Àn det studieförberedande programmet som hyser mindre tillförsikt till implementeringen av reformen..

We have studied the differences between people debating on a program in apublic service-channel and a privately-owned channel. We have chosen thetwo biggest debate programs, KvÀllsöppet in the privately-owned channelTV4 and Debatt in the public service-channel SVT 1. We have in aquantitative content analysis studied female and male, how many of each thatare participating, how long time they talk in the program and in what rolethey have in the debate. We have studied 10 episodes of KvÀllsöppet thespring season 2010 and compared with Johanna Paulsson & Patrik Rosellstudy ?30/70.

Stora Enso Skog has a long term contract regarding felling rights and silvicultural activities on forest owned by Bergvik Skog. In the autumn 2006, Bergvik Skog proposed a new thinning program, ?Bergvikgallring?. The new program implied an increased focus on extraction of smaller trees compared to the present thinning program, Stora Enso Skog?s ?Kvalitetsgallring?.

During the nineties, ecological handling of urban storm water became very popular in Sweden. Together with Chalmers University of Technology and two Swedish communities, DHI Water and Environment has been doing research of storm water ponds and constructed wetlands. This thesis work is a part of that research project. The work has been applied at the BÀckaslöv storm water treatment plant in VÀxjö, Sweden. The plant consists of one storm water pond and a downstream constructed wetland.

Youth crime is a subject widely discussed in media as well as in the academic field of criminology. One of the topics within the research field of youth crime discusses how to effectively help young people leave a criminal lifestyle behind. It is within this topic that the focus of this essay lies. This qualitative study examines a community based program in the Swedish city of Malmö called Nya VÀgvalet (The New Choice of Path, own translation), which works with juvenile delinquents and the issues that surround the youths lifestyle. The aim of the essay is to explore the foundations and methodology of the program, how the methods of the program are put into practice and how these methods compare to what current research findings claim to be effective factors in successful interventions.

Syftet med denna undersökning Àr att ta reda pÄ hur lÀrare i gymnasieskolan arbetar med fiktioner av olika slag och om arbetssÀtten skiljer sig Ät beroende pÄ om undervisningen sker i ett yrkesförberedande program eller ett högskoleförberedande program. Fyra verksamma lÀrare intervjuades utifrÄn en halvstrukturerad intervjuguide. Resultatet visar att lÀrarna har frÄngÄtt de gamla traditionella arbetssÀtten dÀr man ofta arbetade i kronologisk ordning och dÀr eleverna fick skriva recensioner. Idag lÀggs fokus pÄ att hitta teman, koppla fiktioner till samhÀllets utveckling och elevernas egna liv och erfarenheter samt att analysera fiktioner via gruppdiskussioner alternativt helklassdiskussioner. Filmens roll i skolan har fÄtt högre status och filmens sprÄk har tagit plats i undervisningen.

The purpose of this essay was to develop a conservation program for the outdoor environment at the Zorn House (ZorngÄrden) in Mora, Dalarna, situated in the upper central part of Sweden. In the conservation program the Zorn House garden?s origins and development process has been studied by historical studies of various kinds. As a result a status report also has been made and a description of the garden's values. This has resulted in an objective discussion that provides guidelines for how the garden can be developed in the future.

Skanska 21 is a student program for university students. The program runs for a year and a half parallel to university studies. It is aimed at those studying a few specific master engineering programs at Lund University, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Chalmers University of Technology or LuleÄ University of Technology. The program consists of a number of program meetings such as company presentations, a boarding school week, rhetoric training and project visits. The aim of the project is to evaluate the Skanska 21 student program.

The purpose of this work is to do an investigation on the customers in the pharmaceutical sector; mainly general physicians who have taken part in the education events have any impact in their prescription behaviour after the participation in the program. The settings for this study are general practitioners in the Swedish market who have taken part in the education program held by Novo Nordisk in the treatment of diabetes disease. Methodology: The methodological approach adopted for this work is quantitative; using secondary data from the internal database from the company. The analytical model is tested through statistical analysis using the data?s obtained from the databases.

Syftet med vÄr studie Àr att lyfta fram Àmnesintegreringens positiva möjligheter för att fÄ ele-verna mer motiverade i kÀrnÀmnena. Med hjÀlp av intervjuer med kÀrnÀmneslÀrare, karaktÀrs-ÀmneslÀrare, resurslÀrare och skolledare samt enkÀtundersökningar med elever pÄ gymnasie-skolor som har yrkesförberedande program har vi försökt att komma fram till gemensamma metoder som skulle kunna öka Àmnesintegrering och dÀrigenom ge eleverna ökad motivation och förstÄelse för att kÀrnÀmnena Àr lika viktiga som karaktÀrsÀmnena. Vi har delat in resulta-tet i fyra olika delar: samtal och intervjuer med lÀrare som undervisar pÄ yrkesförberedande program, en djupintervju med en skolledare pÄ en skola som har yrkesförberedande program, enkÀtundersökningar med elever pÄ yrkesförberedande program samt egna observationer un-der kurser med Àmnesintegrering. Sammanfattningsvis tycker vi att lÀrare pÄ dessa skolor Àr i stort intresserade av att arbeta mer Àmnesintegrerat. KÀrnÀmneslÀrarna tycker att det vore önskvÀrt att karaktÀrsÀmneslÀrarna försöker finna sammankopplingar frÄn karaktÀrsÀmnet till deras kÀrnÀmne sÄ att eleverna ser sambandet mellan praktiken och teorin.

Den hÀr undersökningen syftar till att se hur olika undervisningsmetoder i matematik anvÀnds i dagens gymnasieskola och hur de uppfattas av lÀrare och elever. Finns det nÄgra skillnader/likheter i Äsikter angÄende matematikundervisningen mellan lÀrare, elever frÄn studieförberedande och elever frÄn yrkesförberedande program? Denna frÄgestÀllning Àr mycket aktuell eftersom det förs en stÀndig debatt om behovet av förÀndrade undervisningsformer i matematik för att elevers intresse i Àmnet skall öka. Min studie visar att de sÄ kallade ?traditionella? undervisningsformerna i matematik som t.ex.

The aim of this bachelorŽs thesis ist to analyze the idea progress in the party programs in the swedish Centre-party during the time 1910-1959. The progress in the party program is compared with the evolution of society during the same period.The bachelorŽs aim is also to analyze how each new program is described in newspapers, two newspapers were chosen to make the comparison; Arbetet (a social-democratic newspaper), and SkÄnska Dagbladet (a centre-party newspaper). The result shows that the party in the beginning was conservative and against both capitalism and socialism. The start of the party was a reaction against the new electionsystem which was introduced in Sweden in 1909.The party took a clear standpoint for the Swedish farmers, but after 1933, they were standing for the whole countryside. In the 1940Žs and the 1950Žs the party became more like a social liberal party rather than an agrarian party only for the farmers.The party programs are not given much space in the two newspapers.

Syftet med denna studie Àr dels att undersöka hur eleverna ser pÄ sitt inflytande och sin delaktighet i idrottsundervisningen utformning och genomförande, i gymnasieskolans kurs Idrott och HÀlsa A, och vad de har för attityd och instÀllning till elevinflytande samt att undersöka dels hur deras lÀrare arbetar med elevinflytande och vilka attityder de har till elevernas inflytande. Studien kommer att undersöka skillnader mellan studie- och yrkesförberedande program. Vi har intervjuat elever frÄn fyra olika gymnasieutbildningar, tvÄ studieförberedande och tvÄ yrkesförberedande program, samt deras lÀrare.Resultatet visar att bÄde lÀrare och elever generellt Àr vÀldigt positivt instÀllda till att eleverna har inflytande över idrottsundervisningen men att problematik med att utöva inflytande finns. LÀrare anger tid- och resursbrist som tvÄ viktiga faktorer och det framkommer att elevernas inflytande kan vara begrÀnsat till relativt obetydliga situationer. En majoritet av eleverna ser elevinflytande som viktigt men avsÀger sig i mÄnga fall inflytande med motiveringen att de Àr nöjda med undervisningen och att de har ett stort förtroende för lÀrarna.Skillnader framkom mellan studie- och yrkesförberedande program, men man kan i denna begrÀnsade studie diskutera huruvida dessa kanske snarare kan tillskrivas lÀrarnas olika attityder, arbetsmetoder och ledarstilar..
