The voluntary none-financial sustainability report has become a trend within accounting. The environmental issues used to be driven by activists only, but lately it has moved in to the general agenda in many companies. Investors are starting to put more attention to the sustainability reporting as it is considered to add value to the company. There are several standard Guidelines to be used when producing a sustainability report, one example is the GRI´s Guidelines that takes the following three dimensions in consideration: economy, environment and social. This Guideline is from an international perspective considered to be of good accounting practice (Ljungdahl 2008).

Det ständigt ökande trycket på minskande utsläpp och effektivare energianvändning driver utvecklingen av Scanias produkter. För att varakonkurrenskraftiga på marknaden behöver man leverera lastbilar med högre kvalitet och lägre bränsleförbrukning, det vill säga sänka transportkostnaderna förkunden. Ett steg i detta är att utveckla komponenter i fordonet som är optimerade iförsta hand med avseende på hållfasthet men även mot vikt och pris. En betydande andel av lastbilens komponenter är plåtfästen som ofta underprioriteras i produktutvecklingen. Examensarbetet fokuserade därför på att utveckla metoder för konstruktion av plåtfästen.En metod för att förbättra konstruktionerna är att arbeta med simuleringsdriven konstruktion.

The impact of computer programs in safety-critical systems has increased in the past decades and computer-based systems can now be found in a wide range of applications. A new approach for developing dependable systems is documenting all design rationale that affects safety using Intent Specifications. A recent approach for developing complex systems efficiently and in an upgradeable manner is Component-Based System Engineering. In this thesis, these approaches are combined in the development and upgrade of a Remote Robot Control Unit by using the tool SpecTRM. The case study showed that Intent Specifications and CBSE could successfully be combined.

This thesis examines how role-playing games can be used as an educational tool in after-school programs and identifies the challenges and opportunities perceived by both students and teachers. The study is based on qualitative methods, with interviews with after-school teachers and children in after-school programs with their observations of role-playing activities in a municipality. The results show that role-playing games promote social development, creative thinking, problem-solving, and language development. Students reported increased motivation and engagement, while teachers observed improved relationships and an inclusive environment where students could explore different roles and perspectives. The research links these findings to previous studies that highlight the potential of role-playing games to develop empathy, collaboration skills, and critical thinking (Daniau, 2016; Trespalacios et al., 2011; Suryani et al., 2020). Furthermore, our findings support the curriculum goals of student influence and situational learning, emphasizing the importance of students' own initiatives and responsibility in educational activities (Lgr22, 2022). The study also identifies challenges, such as teachers' uncertainty about introducing and leading role-playing games due to a lack of expertise.

Metso Paper offers a front-running range of solutions and services for the pulp and paper industry. At the baling unit, design solutions are developed for manufacturing and handling of pulp bales. The machines are continuously developed to satisfy customer needs. One big step in the development of the baling line was to remove hydraulics from the machines and replace it with electrical motors and pneumatics. This was not done on the folding machine which is still driven by mainly hydraulics.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate to what extent municipalities in Sweden use democratic innovations to include citizens in the decision making process. Along there are three research questions:? What different forms of democracy innovations are Swedish municipalities applying in order to increase the civic participation between elections and what forms are dominant?? What potential influence in decision-making are citizens getting through these democratic innovations based on the results?? Based on the results ? in what ways is the democracy innovations used in municipalities challenging representative democracy? The method used to fulfill the purpose and answer the research questions is a web survey including 287 of 290 (in total) municipal websites. The theoretic framework includes a model which is called ?Smith?s ladder of participation? and is influenced by the research of Graham Smith and Sherry Arnstein.

This study was made with the incentive to find out the view on advertorials in Swedish press today. Our exploration of advertorials refers not only to adverts that look like editorial texts, as per the definition in the oxford dictionaries, but also to ways that editorial texts use an advertorial style or language similar to adverts. We explored both these sides because we recognized that the existence of advertorials in press today has to do with material which is indistinctive in several ways, and to find out the views on this, we interviewed chief editors and publishers on six local daily newspapers in Västra Götaland, Sweden.Our theories were based in the fact that the press finds itself working in a commercialized landscape, at the same time as journalism has a democratic role to uphold in society.We also considered that there used to be a committee against advertorials in Sweden called Textreklamkommittén, which was disbanded in 2005. That committee had a mandate to govern and try cases of advertorials in the press, but today, the only thing that journalists have to consider is a Guideline of publishing matters. The central part of our study was therefore to find out what actual issues journalists have to consider in their daily work, as they are exposed to various forms of advertorials.After conducting the interviews, we asked four analytical questions to our material using the ECA-method of analysis.

Introduction: A general Guideline was introduced on October first 2010 regarding a mortgage cap, limiting the degree of leverage of housing as collateral. Through the new Guidelines the marked conditions concerning consumers? choice of mortgage has changed. The consumers are limited in the sense that they can?t only use mortgage when purchasing a house.

The filters used today to purify water are often expensive and the need to find new filter materials is substantial. Studies of pine bark have shown that this is a material that may be used as an alternative to conventional filter materials, such as activated carbon. However, the study of pine bark has shown that a leakage of phenolic compounds may occur when using the material for water purification. Therefore, the purpose of this report is to investigate the release of phenols from pine bark, in order to evaluate the use of pine bark as a filter material. Another assignment is to investigate the amount of metals adsorbed by the filter material.

Det finns två stationer på Boxholm Stål AB med produktionssågar. Den ena är en bandsåg och två fasmaskiner med hanteringsutrustning för transport mellan såg och fasar samt en automatisk buntmaskin. Fasarna på den stationen är utslitna och håller inte de toleranser som Boxholm Stål AB har på sina produkter. En önskan att kunna planfräsa ändarna har också tillkommit vilket utrustningen i dagsläget inte klarar av. Det innebär att fasarna ska bytas ut.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien var att undersöka hur tränare och sjukgymnaster/naprapater i Stockholmsregionen arbetar med specifik bålträning. Ett sekundärt syfte var att se på historiska förändringar av träningsmetoder.Hur arbetar tränare med specifik bålträning?Hur arbetar sjukgymnaster/naprapater med specifik bålträning?Hur motiverar de sitt val av träningsmetod?Vad säger forskningen om vilka fördelar/nackdelar olika metoder av bålträning har? MetodVi har i vår studie använt oss av intervjuer. En kvalitativ metod för att få en djupgående inblick i hur personliga tränare och sjukgymnaster/naprapater arbetar med bålträning. Vi har intervjuat sex personer, tre från vardera yrkeskategorin.

 Introduction and research question: In the global media field, global expansion has become more common and is a way for media companies to reach out to a broader audience. Both advantages and disadvantages come with a global expansion and there are several cultural differences that have to be considered. This thesis will deal with the cultural differences and discuss how a Swedish media company efficiently goes about establishing in Vietnam. This leads us to this thesis' research question: How does a Swedish media company succeed in Vietnam? Purpose: This thesis' purpose is to find out what media companies do to successfully acclimate to the Vietnamese culture and the important aspects of the cultural differences to consider.Delimitation: In order to present a thesis with greater depth and acquire a deeper understanding, the study is limited to examine Swedish media companies and what intercultural aspects are important to consider when establishing in Vietnam. Method: The research we have done is based on interviews, which we thought could give us the accurate information and a good base to stand on.

AbstraktBakgrund: Länge har man varit medveten om vikten av god hygien och dess inverkan påsmittspridning. Det mest effektiva sättet att minska postoperativa sårinfektioner (SSI) är att arbetaförebyggande och att ha en god hygien. Frekvensen av SSI ökar, och som en del av den förebyggandevården ingår den preoperativa förberedelsen. Att inte ha kunskap och stöd till att utföra en sådanåtgärd korrekt är en stor brist och kan leda till att patienter drabbas av SSI och därmed ett ökatpostoperativt lidande.Syfte: Studiens syfte var att beskriva vårdpersonalens syn på betydelsen av hygienisk preoperativförberedelse hos ortopedpatienter.Metod: Studien genomfördes på ett länssjukhus i mellersta norrland under våren 2008, där allaortopedavdelningar på sjukhuset deltog. En kvalitativ intervjumetod användes med manifestinnehållsanalys av materialet.Resultat: All personal som ingått i studien anser att den hygieniska preoperativa förberedelsen är avstor vikt.

Ett svenskt universi- tetssjukhus har tagit fram en handlingsplan fo?r omha?ndertagande av va?ldsutsatta kvinnor och det finns evidens fo?r att avdelningschefer spelar en stor roll fo?r implementeringen av hand- lingsplaner.Syfte: Syftet med fo?religgande studie a?r att underso?ka avdelningschefers erfarenheter av att implementera en handlingsplan om va?ldsutsatthet; ?Va?ldsutsatta kvinnor - en handlingsplan fo?r omha?ndertagande?, samt att underso?ka vilka hinder och underla?ttande faktorer som ligger bakom implementeringen.Metod: Studien genomfo?rdes med en kvalitativ metod i form av semistrukturerade intervjuer. Sju avdelningschefer fra?n sju olika avdelningar inom fem divisioner intervjuades vid ett svenskt universitetssjukhus som har en handlingsplan fo?r omha?ndertagande av va?ldsutsatta kvinnor.

SAMMANFATTNINGSjuksköterskan tillämpar omvårdnadsprocessen genom att observera, värdera, prioritera, dokumentera och vid behov åtgärda och hantera förändringar i allmäntillståndet, samt motverka komplikationer i samband med sjukdom, vård och behandling. Andningsfrekvens (AF) är den vitalparameter som först förändras och signalerar en förändring i allmäntillståndet. Vid de flesta hjärtstopp på sjukhus finns tecken till försämring hos patienten redan några timmar eller upp till ett dygn före. Syftet var att undersöka sjuksköterskans inställning och följsamhet till att mäta och bedöma AF hos akuta sjuka patienter, för att tidigt upptäcka en försämring i patientens hälsotillstånd. Genom en litteraturstudie framkom fyra teman. Rutiners betydelse, sjuksköterskans inställning till AF och varför den inte mättes, värdet av förändringsarbete samt möjliga arbetssätt för att undvika vårdskador.
