Partiet som utflöde av samhället : En argumentationsanalys av det nyuppkomna partiet Feministiskt Initiativ
This thesis is a study of Parties as an outflow of societal changes where the aim has been to find out how parties are affected by societal changes and how they justify to new party formation. This is done by using a theory called Parties as an outflow of societal changes which is a theory developed by Swedish researchers in Political Science. To confirm the theory it is necessary to do an argumentation analysis of one external developed party?s electoral program. In this case the party selected is Feminist Initiative which brings a different view on how the society of Sweden should look like.Selected parts of the argumentative analysis will be examined with the purpose to give a perspective on how Feminist Initiative values the changes in society and how they describe their role as a new party.The main question of this study is; Are new parties an outflow of societal changes? The basic arguments includes that along with societal changes in Western Europe also changes the view of a representative democracy in which political parties play a central role.

Engineers are a group of individuals who are attractive when companies are in need for competence in technology. Today it is a shortage of these competences in the labor market. Because of this there has grown a competition among companies when they strive to recruit the best engineers. Therefore companies spend more resources on marketing themselves as an attractive employer. This study was set out to find what engineers think is an attractive employer through a demographic perspective.

This study aims to describe the conditions, of which some youths who live in a segregated area in Sweden, see as important for their development of an identity. The study have been conducted in a manner where we put the youths own words in focus. The youths are in charge of deciding what they regard as important for their own development of their own identity. In this study we assume certain contexts, of which we base the study. These contexts include the society, the urban districts, the school, the family, and the language.
Empowerment på Posten? : En fallstudie om Postens personalpolitik ur ett empowermentperspektiv
På dagens marknad måste företagen kunna möta både de yttre och inre kraven som ställs på marknaden för att maximera sin avkastning. Ett företag som i allra högsta grad står inför förändrade yttre krav är Posten. Hur kan Posten kombinera yttre krav och omständigheter från kunder, marknadsförhållanden och ägarnas vinstintresse med de inre kraven, det vill säga en tillfredställd personal? Hur kan man skapa en bra företagskultur som gynnar både ägarna och de anställda?En teori som hävdar att det går att möta de yttre kraven samtidigt som de inre kraven uppfylls benämns: empowerment. Syftet med denna uppsats är att utifrån ett empowermentperspektiv analysera hur några lokala chefer på Posten jobbar med sin personalpolitik rent praktiskt.Empowermentbegreppet operationaliserades till att gälla tre nycklar angående ?information?, ?gränser/riktlinjer? och ?självgående lag?.

When Vladimir Putin in the year 2000 came to power in Russia many believed that the Russian civil society were weak and had very little influence and with Putin people say that the situation have deteriorated. The purpose of this paper is to establish what kind of relationship exists between the Russian state and the civil society and to analyze this from a top-down perspective. We are looking at Russia during Putins first term in office from the year 2000 until 2004. In order to establish the relationship we have used John S. Dryzeks theory of inclusive and exclusive state and whether it?s active or passive in this process.
Kan man minska bilåkandet i staden? : sett ur ett stadsplanerarperspektiv
The reason why this essay is written can be parted in two, whereas one would be the global trend of urbanization that occurs to this moment and forward, whereas the other would be the debate of how motorism has come to be an issue of sustainable management of our cities and our environment. In purpose to deliver a thorough understanding of how the car and its capacity has come to shape the society of today, and to emphasize the problems it´s brought, a historical survey has been made, followed by the report of problems to the society formed by the needs of the car, discussed in several environmental issues, such as jamming, noise and air pollution. This is followed by the discussion of potential solutions for how city planning could return to the focus of the human scale and perspective, in purpose to correspond with the issue of ways to decrease the car use in towns. In conclusion, the given solutions are discussed, where examples like shared space, investment in public transport, mobility management and the theory of the assembled city are included, with aid from literature, to finally conclude the essay with personal thoughts of how the planning of today, or the given solutions, really are the result of sustainability for city planning from a human perspective.
Mavian eller Rica-själ? : En analys av servicekulturen på Malmö Aviation och Rica Talk Hotel
Purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to compare and analyze Malmö Aviation and Rica Talk Hotel's service culture. This is done by examining three themes, the organizations ways of working with training, motivation and empowerment of frontline employees.Method: The essay is a case study-based qualitative research which mainly focuses on semi-structured, qualitative interviews with various people within the two organizations.Theory: The theoretical framework considers theory within two sections. The first section, the organizations importance in service quality, focuses on service culture or service climate and different management strategies. Section two, the employees? importance in service quality, focuses on three themes: training, motivation and empowerment of frontline employeesResults: Both Malmö Aviation and Rica Talk Hotel are companies that put great emphasis on developing and maintaining a quality service culture within the organization.

The purpose of this study is to look into what part libraries take in the integration of mentally disabled persons into the society. What I wanted to know more about was how the mentally disabled persons experience the library. I also wanted to find out what librarians and persons working with mentally disabled persons have to say about the part libraries take in the integration of mentally disabled into the society. The study is based on interviews and literature studies. I have interviewed two librarians, four mentally disabled persons and two persons working with mentally disabled people.
Datoriseringen i samhället : Äldres upplevelser
As technology have continued to develop over the latest decades and become more advanced the pressure on the general citizens understanding of technology becomes a essential part to live in our society today. The transition have affected our society in great ways and have made a great impact on different groups, one of them being the elderly population in our society. The purpose of this study is to examine how the fast technological development in the latest decades have affected the elderly in our society. This from their perspective by gathering empirical data through semi-structured interviews with elderly people involved in the Agnes-project, a research project focused on improving the general quality of life for older people and increase their knowledge about technology. The study has shown that after the older peoples time involved in the Agnes-project their quality of life had improved in different areas. Areas such as increased cognitive activity, increased interest in new technology and an improvement in their communication with friends and family.
Med tiden som insats. En studie av TidsNätverket i Bergsjön
Syfte och frågeställningar : TidsNätverket i Bergsjön, upprättat i augusti år 2007 i Göteborg, är en verksamhet grundad på time bank-modell. Syftet med undersökningen är ?att studera vilka positiva och negativa erfarenheter av TidsNätverket i Bergsjön som dess deltagare ger uttryck för samt vilka konsekvenser verksamheten har fått för dem med avseende på empowerment och socialt kapital?. Mina frågeställningar är: 1) Vilka positiva och negativa erfarenheter av TidsNätverket i Bergsjön ger dess deltagare uttryck för? 2) Vilka konsekvenser har TidsNätverket i Bergsjön haft för uppkomsten av empowerment och socialt kapital hos deltagarna?Metod och material : Studien använder sig av semi-strukturerade intervjuer med deltagare, ostrukturerade intervjuer med den verksamhetsansvarige, liksom studier av intern dokumentation.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze and question the government survey 1956:43 Zigenarfrågan based on the theory of internal colonialism. An important question for the study is to elucidate and gain an understanding of the factors that led to Roma inclusion in the compulsory school. This survey of the goverment investigation is necessary because the state management of the Roma had to start the investigation, that led to a number of difficulties for the community. The investigation put also a lot of demands on the roma society. The state wanted at all means to influence and change the group's way of life.

In modern dairy production, the newborn calf generally is separated from its mother and put in a single pen for some time before it is introduced to group housing. Group housing is becoming more and more common because it saves the farmer a lot of valuable time. Even thought group housing has a lot of benefits it is often associated with a higher morbidity and mortality in the young calves. Therefore, knowing the optimal way to use the group pen lies in many farmers? interests and the importance of different factors such as the optimal age of introduction is important to evaluate.
The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of age at introduction to group housing on the health of the calves in the group pen.

Having the right executive group is vital for the success of a company. The complex context, in which the company operates, makes it difficult to create a well functioning and high performing group. This study aims to investigate how the executive group should be composed in terms of externally and internally recruited people, in order to take full advantage of the positive aspects associated with each one. Furthermore, we will discuss why and when a company chooses to recruit people to the executive group either externally or internally..
Empowerment ? i en organisatorisk förändring
Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att identifiera hur nivån av empowerment
utvecklats i en organisation som utsatts för högre krav av effektivitet, hur
det förändrat ledarskapet och de anställdas situation, som en ansats till att
bidra till den organisationsteoretiska forskningen.
Metod: Metodvalet byggde på undersökningens syfte att undersöka nivån av
empowerment inom ett företag som genomgått en stor organisatorisk förändring.
Metoden som användes för att tillgodose syftet var kvalitativ. Den kvalitativa
studien genomfördes med en hermeneutisk utgångspunkt, där den enskilde
individen fick beskriva sin upplevelse och erfarenhet av empowerment, för att
ge svar på hur empowerment påverkats i en organisation som gått från monopol
till konkurrens. Uppsats har en deduktiv ansats, då befintliga teorier som
behandlar empowerment legat som grund för utformandet av intervjuunderlaget,
som sedan kopplats ihop med det empiriska materialet, utifrån detta har sedan
slutsatserna dragits.
Slutsatser: Slutsatserna som dragits av författarna till denna studie, är att
empowerment nivån i en organisation som gått från monopol till konkurrens höjs.
Dessutom verkar en organisation, som gått från monopol till en konkurrensutsatt
situation, utvecklas likt en empowermentkultur, för att kunna anpassas till
marknadens krav.
