Historiskt sett har begreppet corporate governance, med svensk term bolagsstyrning, endast haft sekundär betydelse inom det ekonomiska området. Under de senaste åren har dock bolagsstyrning utvecklats till ett av näringslivets viktigaste fokus. För den breda massan är det främst redovisningsskandalerna under början av 2000-talet som bidragit till den allmänna diskussionen. Corporate governance handlar dock till stor del om att styra bolag så att de uppfyller ägarnas krav på avkastning och därigenom bidrar till samhällsekonomisk effektivitet och tillväxt, dvs. en utgångspunkt utöver kriminella handlingar och bedrägligt beteende.

Syfte: Syftet med denna fallstudie av Aptilo Networks är att identifiera kritiska faktorer för företagets framtida tillväxt i branschen för trådlösa nätverk, här benämnd WLAN-branschen. Metod: Metoden i denna uppsats är den kvalitativa fallstudien. Primärdatan består av intervjuer med representanter från fallföretaget. Vidare har ett antal kompletterande intervjuer genomförts med representanter för olika ägare, samarbetspartners, kunder och oberoende analytiker. Sekundärdata består av information från affärstidskrifter, facktidskrifter, pressmeddelanden, nyhetsbrev, informationsmaterial från fallföretaget och dess samarbetspartners samt rapporter från diverse analytiker.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the employees´ duty of loyalty to their employer when making statements on social media networks and if this opposes the employees´ right to freedom of speech. Another purpose of this thesis is to investigate freedom of speech from an EU juridical point of view. Also a discussion concerning gender issues on this subject takes place is presented in the thesis. The questions to answer the purpose of this thesis are the following: Where is the line drawn for what an employee can publish on a social media network without breaching their duty of loyalty towards their employer?, and How does an employee´s freedom of speech relate to these types of statements on a social media network? The method used for this thesis is the classical legal method.The legal inquiry shows that duty of loyalty is a hidden clause in all employment contracts, and it must be respected by the employee.

This thesis explores how the city of Gothenburg integrates and use social capital, defined through factors such as trust and cooperative networks, in its crisis preparedness strategies and how this can enhance the city's collective resilience. The study aims to contribute to the understanding of how social capital can be leveraged to strengthen crisis management and resilience in urban environments. The research analyzes existing quantitative data from the SOM-Institute regarding residents perceptions and self-reported preparedness actions and reviews Gothenburg's official civil defense plan for 2024?2027. By examining various aspects of social capital, including levels of trust and cooperative networks across different city districts and age groups, the analysis focuses on how social bonds and community contexts are considered in planning for handling and recovering from potential crises.

The aim of this study has been to investigate the significance of the newly started project Vimmerbymodellen for unaccompanied young refugees. This regarding to how the unaccompanied young refugees are participating in creating networks and meeting points in the local community. Vimmerbymodellen is described as an integration project where the nonprofit sector collaborates with the municipality. The empirical material has been collected through semi-structured qualitative interviews where five unaccompanied young refugees and four involved adults have been interviewed. The empirical material from these interviews has thereafter been analyzed through the concept of social capital, identity and empowerment.The main result of this study shows that participation in the project is expected to contribute to the creation of networks and meeting points which has significance for unaccompanied young refugees.

Metod: Denna undersökning har en deduktiv ansats och består av dels dataanalys och dels intervjuer. Den kvantitativa dataanalysen undersöker egenskaper hos styrelseledamöterna och kopplingen till företagets börskurser. Den kvalitativa intervjudelen undersöker åsikter hos personer insatta i styrelsearbete. Teoretiska perspektiv: Vi valde att utgå ifrån de teorier om Corporate Governance och team som stödjer antagandet att en heterogent sammansatt grupp presterar bättre än en homogent.

This study test the short-termism of companies listed on the market OMX Stockholm 30. We will use a deductive point of view where the purpose of this study is to investigate whether corporate short-term returns can be explained by the independent variables related to corporate governance and compensation practices. This is to investigate whether there is an intentional action on raising the short-term return in order to achieve a higher CEO compensation. In the study, theories dealing with corporate governance and agency theory have resulted in two hypotheses. Basic Hypothesis H1 is: if short-termism of Swedish industry due to the company's short-term returns can be explained by the independent variables related to the company's management and compensation. This hypothesis could not be verified through the quantitative study. Alternative Hypothesis H2 is: the compensation of a CEO can be explained by the independent variables related to company performance and size.

In this essay, I investigate Swedish possibilities to influence the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union (CAP). After having summarized my findings, I try to explain the structure of influence by using Multi-level governance theory.Ten years have passed since Sweden joined the Union, and many changes have followed in the agricultural sector. By investigating the small country of Sweden's possibilities to influence CAP, I hope to be able to get a notion of the possibilities to influence the EU in general. The essay examines four possible paths for agricultural interests to influence the policy process in Brussels:* Through elected representatives of Sweden in the European Parliament, the Council of Ministers and in the Swedish Parliament* Through subnational institutions, such as the local authorities and regional representatives.* Through the Swedish Agricultural Office* Through the Swedish pressure group within the agricultural area, LRFThese four groups all have very different channels to the policy process on agricultural issues. The differences are mostly in terms of decisive power or advisory power and institutional contacts or lobby contacts.

The purpose of this research was to examine the current field of management in non-profit organizations, mainly focusing on managerial approaches, but also the impact of organizational size on the shaping of governance. Non-profits are widely discussed in contemporary research, particularly due to the increasing external pressure on voluntary organization to professionalize the way they work in line with standards in the private sector. Due to this our thesis aims to investigate whether professional, bureaucratic approaches are useful when governing a non-profit organization, or if social structures are enough to ensure goal congruence and efficiency. To conduct this research qualitative interviews were carried out and a case- study was made, using the Swedish Karate Federation as object of study. Results show that formal and more professional structures are useable to achieve efficiency and prevent inertia within the organization.

The advancements of Internet have contributed to the expansion of social networks and new communities online where people are given an opportunity to get help and support. Social media is nowadays an important part of our society. In this study, we will focus on investigating the interaction in closed communities online and blogs. The study aims to investigate whether social media and social networks online can be a support for young adults with cancer in the same way as physical meeting places.

Det lagstadgade kravet att granska förvaltningen av bolaget återfinns inte i något annat land, med undantag av Finland. Vilken innebörd förvaltningsrevisionen har är dock inte tydligt definierad i lagen och frågan är även huruvida den svenska förvaltningsrevisionen har någon framtid i den alltmer internationaliserade värld som revisorn arbetar i.SyfteUppsatsens syfte är att beskriva och analysera den svenskaförvaltningsrevisionens innebörd, de historiska orsakerna till varförförvaltningsrevisionen ser ut som den gör idag samt utreda vilken framtid den går till mötes. Using Varshney's theory about intra- and interethnic networks, this thesis examines how civil society in southern Thailand is built up.During 2004 the violence between Muslims and Buddhists rose in southern Thailand. The government tried to fight the insurgency using violent police and military forces, resulting in hundreds of deaths and part of reason why Thailand is loosing rank in Freedom House's democracy index. Varshney means that a civil society built up on intraethnic networks works favourable to violence between different ethnic groups. Sorting out and defining what is meant by ?ethnic? and ?civil society?, this thesis shows why to look at the insurgency in southern Thailand as an ethnic conflict surviving partly because of an intraethnic civil society.
