This master thesis is about Augmented Reality (AR), a phenomenon that has existed since the mid-fifties but only recently has become available for the general public. This report is a knowledge compilation about AR, focusing on AR in cell phones and the use of the technology in traffic related situations.AR is usually described as adding a digital layer of information onto the real world. There are different technologies to make virtual images; in cell phones sensor-based and camera-based technologies are the most common ones.In this report, the market of AR applications for cell phones has been investigated. Three use cases have also been investigated in order to get more knowledge about the designers' thoughts and visions.In order to analyze the technology and the applications in a broader and more scientific perspective, two theories has been used: Situation Awareness (SA) and the Service Dominant Logic (SDL). These theories seem useful when reflecting on the Swedish road administrations vision, and to investigate what the applications and the AR technology can contribute to the traffic domain.The conclusions of this thesis are that:- AR can be applied on most of the human senses, but augmenting by visualization is most common.- The market for cell phone applications is growing rapidly: AR applications are relatively new but on the rise.

A totally mixed ration (TMR) is a mixture of all the necessary feed components for the cow. She will eat the exact same feed in every bite which will make the rumen pH more stable and always supply her with a constant proportion between roughage and concentrate. This will make it possible for the cow to eat more dry matter (DM) a day because the fibre requirements are fulfilled. If a part of the concentrate is given separated from the mixture it is called partly mixed rations (PMR) and is almost always used when using an automatic milking system (AMS). When using TMR and PMR it is important to have a high hygiene, be accurate when mixing the feed and to look after cows in a good and strict way. The aim of this study was to document different farms with PMR in an AMS to see which routines they have and how they are managing their production.

Bakgrund: Cancer är idag en av de vanligaste sjukdomarna i svenska samhället och klassas som en folksjukdom. Hälften av de personer som får en cancerdiagnos, får obotlig cancer. Att dela med sig av upplevelser via bloggar kan hjälpa individer med obotlig cancer att hantera sin sjukdom. Sjukdomsbloggar kan även ha betydelse för omvårdnaden av patienter gällande förståelse och bemötande från sjukvården. Syfte: Att utifrån bloggar, beskriva individers upplevelser av att ha obotlig cancer samt beskriva vilken betydelse bloggen har för individerna.

Syfte och frågeställningarSyftet med studien är att undersöka om elever på gymnasiet får tillräcklig utbildning och kunskap om sömn inom ämnet idrott och hälsa. Frågeställningar: Vilken inställning har gymnasieelever till sömn? Utbildas gymnasieelever inom sömn under idrottslektionerna? Vilken betydelse har ämnet idrott och hälsa för gymnasieelevers kunskaper inom området sömn? Hur påverkas eleverna av mindre respektive mer sömn än vanligt?MetodStudien är en tvärsnittsstudie som gjorts på tre gymnasieskolor i Eskilstuna och Stockholm. Datainsamlingen gjordes via enkäter på skolorna och sammanställdes på Internet via Google docs. De som svarade på enkäten var gymnasieelever som gick årskurs tre.

In Sweden exist a Swedish institute for children?s book which is a national information center. They have an annual "Book tasting" where they present statistics and trends from the latest publications of literature for youth and children.In their ?book tasting?? from 2010 a number of picture books had, as they say, children who descend from non-Swedish culture (Swedish institute for children?s book, 2010). The aim of this thesis is to investigate how the ethnical diversity describes in these picture books from 2010. To understand how the ethnical diversity describes in these books I had two questions which helped me in my research.

Att känna sig ledsen, olycklig och nedstämd ibland är helt naturligt. För att nedstämdheten ska kallas depression ur medicinsk synvinkel krävs att man dagligen under minst två veckor känner sig nedstämd och upplever minskad glädje och intresse för vanliga aktiviteter. I dag behandlas depression med kognitiv terapi eller medicinering. Några exempel på läkemedelsgrupper är Monoaminoxidashämmare (MAO-hämmare), Tricykliska antidepressiva (TCA) och Selektiva Serotoninåterupptagshämmare (SSRI). SSRI-läkemedlen verkar genom att hämma återupptaget av serotonin i CNS-neuronen.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka om svagpresterande ? högpresterande, tysta ? pratiga, pojkar - flickor missgynnas av befintliga läromedel och arbets/lärosätt. Är det relevant att läsa språk när det finns verktyg som Google ?translate? och mer avancerade talsyntesprogram. Hur motiveras eleverna när det inom 5 år beräknas att alla böcker finns i en Laptop som både kan översätta och läsa upp texten på olika språk och dialekter.

Bakgrund: Att beröra någon annan ger känslor och känslouttryck hos både individen som utför handlingen och mottagaren. Mellanmänsklig beröring är ett uttryck för kärlek eller tillgivenhet inom familjer och även i andra miljöer. I kliniska sammanhang är beröring viktigt p.g.a. den lugnande effekt och emotionella påverkan som sker. Att lägga handen på någon som lider kan skapa trygghet.

Cover Story is a project, which students at Lillholms - and Ekholms School worked in during spring and fall of 2009. Several school subjects were integrated in project; social studies, art and Swedish, to empower the students to create, implement and design a magazine. The purpose of the project was to give the students the opportunity to fantasize about the future and their dreams by creating their very own Cover Story. During the project I realized that the student?s selection of magazine genre had a direct relation to the gender of the students themselves.

Sedan år 1998 har det i Nollvisionens fotspår startats ett utvecklingsprogram i Sverige som syftar till att omvandla gamla 13 meters landsvägar och motortrafikleder till mötesfria. Implementeringen var tänkt att påtagligt reducera antalet mötes- och omkörningsolyckor samt singelolyckor med svåra konsekvenser i form av svårt skadade och dödade utan att försämra trafiksäkerheten i övrigt. Syftet med denna studie är att göra en effektmätning av de mötesfria vägarnas införande i Karlstadsregionen samt att göra en sammanställning av de olycksrisker mötesfria vägar omfattas av. Frågeställningarna som används i studien är:- Har det blivit säkrare på vägarna sedan implementeringen av mötesfria vägar i Karlstadsregionen?- Hur sker olyckor på mötesfria vägar inom Karlstadsregionen? För att beskriva hur olyckor sker på mötesfria vägar inom Karlstadsregionen har en deskriptiv analys tillämpats som grundats på de beskrivningar av händelseförlopp som dokumenterats i STRADA och CORE, mellan åren 2010-2013.

I den urbana miljön finns det inte alltid rum för alla träd, många arter blir för stora för att kunna få plats. De täcker fönster, skuggar samt konkurrerar med fasader och ledningar om utrymmet. Att forma träd i Sverige idag är något som jag har hört kostar mer än vad det smakar, varför är det så? För att ta reda på hur olika städer arbetar med formade träd tog jag kontakt med Göteborg, Helsingborg, Malmö och Stockholm. Med dem hörde jag mig för om kostnader och vilka arter de använder sig utav.
