När man utvecklar en ny produkt eller tjänst står man ofta inför valet av dataformat. De mest använda idag är JSON och XML. Formaten ser väldigt olika ut, erbjuder olika funktioner, men används inte sällan till samma sak. Vilket som egentligen är snabbast finns det mycket åsikter om, men inte lika mycket testresultat. Den luckan skall detta arbete täcka. Programmeringsspråken som används är Python och JavaScript, vilka båda är populära på webben. Genom experiment testas hur snabbt JSON och XML kan kodas och avkodas.

En enkätstudie genomförd med en urvalsgrupp av alla föräldrar som hade ett barn inskrivet i Region Gotlands fritidshemsverksamhet i årskurs tre vårterminen 2012 gällande deras tankar för valet av att ha fritidshemsplats i årskurs fyra. Studien har genomförts med en digital enkät i verktyget Google docs och det är 467 respondenter som fått möjlighet att svara på denna enkät. Av dessa inkom det 132 svar. Frågorna i enkäten rör personal, aktiviteter samt övriga aspekter som kan vara av betydelse för valet att ha kvar eller säga upp sin fritidshemsplats till inför övergången till årskurs fyra höstterminen 2012.Studien visar på att det som föreligger att ha störst betydelse för att man skall ha kvar sin plats är personalens bemötande, personalens engagemang, meningsfulla aktiviteter samt att barnen själv vill gå kvar. Det som visar sig ha minst betydelse för valet att både ha kvar eller säga upp sin plats på fritidshemmet i årskurs fyra är avgiftens storlek..

The purpose with this thesis is to investigate how Swedish clothing companies create and communicate a personality for their brand. Case studies were conducted with three companies: Nudie Jeans, Koppartrans and J.Lindeberg. These firms can be considered as established clothing brands nationally as well as internationally. The study found that individualism, logotype and moral standpoints play an important role in the creation and the communication of a brand?s personality.

In order to optimize calf welfare and health it is important to know the behavior of cattle in free ranging conditions. When the cow is about to give birth to a calf she will leave the heard about 12 hours before. It is then rather obvious that isolating the cow about calving time in a single pen is imitating the cows? natural behavior. abstractThe aim of this essay is to try to convince the reader that relativism and postmodernism (the latter implying the former, but not the other way around) can be reasonable methods for the social sciences, rather than the irresponsible play of ?extremes? theories of this kind sometimes are made out to be.The intention is to do this by way of the later Wittgenstein, the philosophy of whom is the foundation for what is termed relativism and postmodernism in this essay (definitions of a kind that are here claimed to be missing from the discourse of the social sciences). The study concentrates on which significance the pre-school?s yard and the outdoor environment has and how it influence the young children regarding their development and learning. The study is carried out through observations of the children complimented by interviews of them. The results show that children?s outdoor environment is important for their development of mobility, language, social competence and learning about nature.

The purpose of the study was to examine what methods and strategies individuals use to maintain their weight loss. Another aim was to explore which factors can complicate or simplify weight loss maintenance. Fifty-four individuals who had maintained their weight loss more than a year, participated by answering a questionnaire. The questionnaire was constructed and distributed through the internet. The answers were registered in the program google docs.  The participants mentioned successful methods and strategies, such as exercising regularly, the majority exercised 30 minutes at least five times per week.

Syftet med min uppsats har varit att undersöka hur nyorden nomofobi och räckviddsångest har etablerat sig i svenskt skriftspråk. De två teoretiska utgångspunkter som jag har utgått från är dels språkets utveckling i relation till samhällets utveckling, dels hur den språkliga utvecklingen ser ut i relation till användandet av detsamma. Som metod har jag använt mig av delar från korpuslingvistiken och därmed av olika korpusdatabaser, det vill säga stora datorbaserade textsamlingar, samt av programmet Wordsmith och, i väldigt begränsad omfattning, sökmotorn Google. För att få fram hur orden har etablerat sig har jag valt att undersöka etableringen utifrån när och var jag kan finna orden samt i vilken utsträckning skribenterna har valt att omnämna dem och vilka ord som är vanliga i samband med de valda orden. Jag har även undersökt om jag kan finna tendenser till vidareordbildning, synonymer, en vidare betydelser för respektive ord samt hur utvecklingen av användandet ser ut över tid.

Shareholder value has its origin in the American corporate governance system and has been the subject of great debate over the last few decades. The proponents claim that it creates economic efficiency while the critics argue that maximization of shareholder value jeopardizes the long term survival of companies. However, the debate in Sweden already seems to have forgotten the question of how embedded the ideology really is and what´s leading its way. This study show that shareholder value has developed and been established in Swedish companies between 1995 and 2005. The study has found evidence that suggests that the development can primarily be linked to board networks and international exposure.

In this thesis recruiter?s attitudes and usage of social media within the media business has been examined. The purpose was to find out whether a certain type of behavior in social media could or could not lead to a future employment. How much weight is put on the virtual identity and what does recruiters look for when the look someone up on the internet. Personal interviews with recruiters were done in six different media companies in Stockholm to find out how they used social media when searching and employing new employers.

In my study I have chosen to examine the mathematics in children's free play and everyday situations, with focus on sorting and classification. The purpose of the study was to see how children express their mathematical knowledge. I have chosen to use a qualitative method in my examination, here I did observations in a children's group where the children were between three and six years old. I also did interviews with the teacher's on the department to see how they relate to the mathematics and how they formulate the department to achieve as good a learning environment as possible.The result shows that the teacher's approach is incredible important to the children's learning ability and that they are always present to challenge and discuss together with the children. The observation indicates that children use mathematics all the time in their everyday situations and that it is the interaction between individuals and environment that affects children's development. .

MobisleApps utvecklar och underhåller en applikation för mobila enheter så som iPhone och Android som heter MobisleNotes. Denna applikation ger användaren möjlighet att skriva anteckningar i mobilen och synkronisera dessa till en extern server. MobisleApps vill erbjuda ytterligare möjligheter för användarna att skriva anteckningarna och har bestämt sig för göra detta med hjälp av en webbläsare och ett gränssnitt mot den externa servern.Detta examensarbete syftar till att ta fram ett sådant webbgränssnitt och att undersöka om detgår att använda något ur de nya standarderna för Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) och Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).Genom att utveckla ett webbgränssnitt som ger användaren möjlighet att logga in, skapa, ändra och ta bort anteckningar som synkroniseras till telefonen via en extern server har jag uppfyllt de krav som ställdes.Slutsatsen av rapporten är att det är möjligt att använda en del nya HTML5 och CSS3 funktionalitet och egenskaper. Detta om det görs för att förstärka webbgränssnittets funktionalitet och utseende medan man inte förlitar sig på att alla användare kommer att ha en uppdaterad webbläsare. Annars är risken stor att man stänger ute användare som inte kan ellervet hur man uppdaterar sin webbläsare..

We where asked to write a webapplication, with similar functionalityas an existing desktop application. The application can todayrecord sounds from a person, mix it together at the optimal place withanother, similar sound and play back the result.The application used mathematical calculation that the developerswhere not familiar with, therefore it was decided to focus on the partsthat involved recording and playing sound, to pave the way for anyfuture implementation.The follwing prototypes where implemneted:1. Read a sound clip from a file.2. Splicing of two sound clips at different points in the clips.3. Generate the sound of a guitar.The result of this evaluation is that web browsers today are notready for this type of application, but that there is potetial as soonas W3C have standardised the use of a microphone as a source to theexisting DSP functions..

Syftet med undersökningen är att undersöka, beskriva och analysera kring hur vida det finns ett bra substitut till bomull. Undersökningen kommer att belysa hur marknaden ser ut i dag och vilka material som används. Vidare utreds parametrarna funktion, kundnytta och hållbarhet, som kan komma att spela roll i valet av material för producenter av yrkeskläder. I dagsläget finns det inget solklart val av material som skulle kunna mäta sig med bomullen gällande de parametrarna som uppsatsen tar upp. Vad man väljer att använda istället för bomull beror mycket på hur företagen väljer att fokusera gällande just funktion, kundnytta och hållbarhet.

The study deals with three questions concerning attitudes to singing: When does the joy of singing with girls and boys change to a feeling of ?I can not sing?? What is it that affects them? Are there any differences between girls and boys attitudes to singing?A questionnaire with 12 questions about singing was distributed to 5 girls and 5 boys in (Swedish) grade 1, 4 and 8. It turned out that the girls in the study ?play with singing? together or by themselves, while the boys are satisfied singing in school on music lessons. Because of this, the singing interest for boys gets lower and lower between 10 and 14 years.
