Every year many dogs in Sweden are bitten by the adder, a venomous snake (Vipera berus). Despite the fact that adder bites are so common in dogs there have been few investigations made that study the effects of treatment with glucocorticoids, a drug that is commonly used. We have carried out a literature study concerning adder bites in dogs and a prospective study where case history, clinical signs and treatment have been recorded in dogs that were presented at two veterinary hospitals after a confirmed or suspected adder bite. Fifty three dogs were included in the study out of which 22 were treated with glucocorticoids. In our study, the group of dogs treated with glucocorticoids was compared with the group of dogs that did not receive glucocorticoid treatment by the owner or on arrival at the clinic.

Höftleds- och armbågsledsdysplasi samt osteochondros orsakar stora problem inom många hundraser, däribland labrador retriever. Syftet med denna enkätundersökning var att studera utfodring, motion och levnadsvanor hos en grupp svenska labradorer och mot denna bakgrund indikera faktorer som utöver ärftlighet skulle kunna påverka utvecklingen av höftledsdysplasi (HD) respektive armbågsledsdysplasi (AD). En stor grupp labradorer (n=292) har ingått i enkätundersökningen, som utformats som fall-kontrollstudier, där hundar med respektive utan HD och AD har kunnat jämföras. Undersökningen har genomförts genom telefonintervjuer. Enkäten innehöll 39 frågor om demografiska data, kost, levnadsvanor samt hälsa och svarsfrekvensen var 90%. Syftet var att undersöka vilka faktorer i hundens kost och levnadsvanor som kan påverka utvecklandet av HD och AD.

Sverige är under 2010 ett av de länder som satsar mest resurser på FoU. Den svenska lagstiftningen erbjuder icke-noterade bolag tre olika regelverk. Varje regelverk ger i sin tur olika möjligheter för företaget att kostnadsföra alternativt aktivera FoU-kostnader. Tidigare studier har påvisat samband mellan faktorer så som räntabilitet på totalt kapital, aktiekurs, inkomst samt storlek och valet mellan att kostnadsföra alternativt aktivera FoU-kostnader. Denna bakgrund har lett fram till vår forskningsfråga: Vilka av faktorerna omsättning, soliditet och total FoU- kostnad som andel av omsättning kan påverka valet av aktivering alternativt kostnadsföring vid redovisning av FoU i forskningsintensiva icke noterade bolag? Syftet med studien har varit att beskriva hur företag redovisar sina FoU-kostnader och pröva sambandet mellan de tre faktorerna hos forskningsintensiva icke-noterade bolag.

Frågeställning: Påverkas en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse av revisionsarvodets storlek, om så på vilket sätt?Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att fördjupa tidigare genomförd forskning inom detta ämnesområde, genom att undersöka om det finns ett samband mellan revisionsarvodets storlek och en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse, och i så fall på vilket sätt?Metod: Studien bygger på en kvantitativ metod där primärdata samlades in från databasen Retriever och omfattar 300 västmanländska mikroföretags årsredovisningar ifrån år 2009. I studien tillämpades även ett deduktivt tillvägagångssätt, vilket innebar att sekundärdata i form av etablerade teorier och tidigare forskning inom ämnet låg till grund för skapandet av studiens hypoteser. Efter insamling av primärdata sammanställdes datamaterialet i Microsoft Excel och därefter analyserades datan med hjälp av bivariat- och multivariat logistisk regressionsanalys i SPSS.Slutsats: I den bivariata logistiska regressionsanalysen återfanns inget signifikant samband mellan revisionsarvodets storlek och en revisors benägenhet att avge en ren eller oren revisionsberättelse. Däremot, påträffades ett positivt signifikant samband mellan dessa variabler i den multivariata logistiska regressionsanalysen.
