The purpose of this study is to examine how risk is perceived by the urban architect's in the region Dalarna, as well as how this is reflected in their everyday work with risk and decision- making according to urban planning. The ambition is also to show how their risk awareness could be improved. The study is written in cooperation with Länsstyrelsen Dalarna as a part of their regional long-term goal to improve the region's proactive risk' and crisis management. The study is based upon 12 semi-structured interviews with local urban architects conducted during the summer and autumn 2007. The result shows that some architects are motivated for working with risk and think that risk awareness should be integrated in their everyday work, while others are not motivated and think that risk is more of a passing trend.

This essay deals with the results and observations made during excavations in an iron age cemetery in Alsike hage, located in Alsike parish. The excavations took place in 2005 and 2006 and the investigated area comprised two adjacent, but secluded burial-constructions; a square stone setting with a secondary grave, and a stone-built terrace with at least one secondary grave. The artifacts suggests that the TPQ of the stone setting, and the construction date of the rest of the graves, is 900-950 A.D. Denna uppsats syftar till att undersöka sambandet mellan rättvisa och motivation bland skolelever, då det tidigare saknats specifik forskning inom området. Enkäter delades ut till högstadieelever för att mäta deras upplevelse av distributiv, procedural, informativ respektive interpersonell rättvisa i relationen till läraren samt deras motivation i skolarbetet. Totalt ingick 227 respondenter i studien. Resultatet visade på ett signifikant positivt samband mellan samtliga former av rättvisa och motivation i skolarbetet. Graden av informativ respektive interpersonell rättvisa visade sig även förutsäga graden av motivation i skolarbetet.

Syftet med detta examensarbete är att studera den påverkan som olika typer av mål har på inre motivation för studenter. Hypotesen är att försökspersoner i genomsnitt erhåller högre inre motivation för en uppgift med inlärningsmål än för en identisk uppgift med resultatmål. Uppgiften behandlade det psykologiska begreppet kognitiv dissonans. Uppgiften genomfördes av 30 försökspersoner där15utförde uppgiften med inlärningsmål och 15 med resultatmål. Efter att försökspersonerna hade genomfört uppgiften mättes deras inre motivation för uppgiften med hjälp av en enkät.

Detta arbete analyserar vilket samband det finns mellan kostnaderna för sjukskrivning och motivation utifrån en undersökning av företaget Pacwire. I dagens samhälle blir sjukfrånvaro allt vanligare och har fått stora konsekvenser på företagens ekonomi och anställda. Vid genomförande av denna studie har jag använt mig av metoden deduktion då jag utifrån teorin har bildat mig teorier som i sin tur har undersökts. Vad jag kom fram till är att det fanns ett samband mellan motivation och sjukfrånvaro och rekommenderar därför Pacwire att öka personalens motivation genom att till exempel ha mer varierande arbetsuppgifter..

Purpose: To examine if the management of the public sector organization Sida actively work with how to motivate their employees. We also examine which factors of motivation dominate amongst the employees.Method: A case study with a qualitative approach was conducted, using semi structured interviews and a survey to gather data. By connecting motivation theories with collected data, we analysed the results to find similarities, differences and relations between them.Theory: The study is based on motivation theories and other contributing research.Conclusions: The study shows that management actively work with how to motivate their employees. But the employees are not aware of how management work with motivation. The majority of the motivation factors are highly valued, but the dominating factors are personal growth, stimulating work assignments and the ability to know the results of their work..

Syftet med studien är att undersöka vad lärare anser motivera elever i skolan och hurlärare beskriver att de planerar en motiverad undervisning. Vi valde att utgå frånkvalitativt arbetsätt och i undersökningen har vi intervjuat åtta grundskolelärare medolika antal år i yrket. Resultatet med undersökningen påvisar att relationen mellanlärare och elever har betydelse för elevers motivation i skolan. Under interjuvernaframkom även betydelsen av lärares återkoppling till elever samt skolmiljönsbetydelse för elevers motivation. Resultatet av undersökningen visade betydelsen avatt synliggöra syfte och mål med undervisningen för eleverna.

 Tediousness, fear and boredom are all part of everyday?s life for a student. How can a teacher counteract these feelings of boredom and replace them with a feeling of pleasure of learning? Students have to be motivated and want to go to school every day. By comparing student?s experiences of motivation this essays purpose is to create a theory about factors for motivation in education.

Studiens syfte var att undersöka några elevers och pedagogers uppfattningar om vilka faktorer som påverkar elevernas motivation till skolarbete. För att få svar på dessa frågor gjordes en studie där vi genom kvalitativa intervjuer låtit nio elever och fyra pedagoger från två skolor tala om sina upplevelser av motivation i skolan. Studien innehåller informanternas berättelser om vilka faktorer som inverkar på motivationen, resultatet diskuterades utifrån Jerome Bruners motivationsteori och  John Hatties studie om motivation. När vi sammanfattade resultatet kunde vi ur samtliga informanters svar utläsa att elevers motivation var starkt kopplad till fyra huvudområden; meningsfullhet, delaktighet, variation och upplevelsebaserad inlärning. Nyckelord: motivation, motivation, pedagogik, lärare, learning, elever, klassrum, arbetsformer.

The issue of sick leave and an increase of ill health in the workplace is a social problem inSwedenthat is currently an important topic. Public human service organisations are one of the sectors where this is a major problem. The aim of this study is to examine what significance the leadership in public human service organisations has on the health and sense of well being among the staff within the organisation. We have chosen to look at this issue from a health promoting perspective where we focused on health factors and to what extent the management can influence and promote the possibilities for a healthy workplace with healthy staff. The results of the study are based on interviews with three leaders within the public human service sector.

Motivation kan huvudsakligen indelas i inre och yttre motivation, beroende på vilken avsikt individen haft med sina handlingar. En individ som drivs av inre motivation till en handling, utför den eftersom själva aktiviteten upplevs som intressant eller tillfredsställande. Handlingar baserade på yttre motivation har sin grund i något annat än själva aktiviteten, exempelvis ekonomisk belöning. Syftet med studien var att jämföra möjliga skillnader mellan manliga respektive kvinnliga högskolelärare avseende inre och yttre motivation.

Motivation är en betydelsefull kompontent för en individs utövande utav studier. Studien utgick ifrån motivationsteorin Self- determination theory. Syftet med studien var att redogöra för relationen mellan högskolestudenters demografiska faktorer och vilken typ av motivation som driver dem till att utöva studier, samt relationen mellan motivationstyperna. Med typ av motivation avses amotivation, inre samt yttre motivation. Studien bestod utav 102 studenter, varav 49 män och 53 kvinnor, från en högskola i mellersta Sverige som fick besvara enkäten The Academic Motivation Scale.

This study intends to examine the impact of a well known debate page in one of Sweden?s biggest newspapers, Dagens Nyheter. We have done this by analysing Ekot, Aktuellt, Göteborgs Posten and Västerbottens-Kuriren to see to what extent they ?take? news from the debate page.The method used was content analysis and to describe some of our thoughts about how we placed the hits in different categories we chose eight of our hits to exemplify.The material from the newspapers, radio and television was examined to discover the potential impact from the debate page.To carry out this study we have mainly used theories about how media get influenced by each other?s news and how they do follow-ups and refer to the original media. Other theories of importance for our study are for example those about what kinds of events that become news and how media influences people?s thoughts about what?s important.One of the most important conclusions we were able to draw after carrying out our study was that the debate page in Dagens Nyheter has quite a small impact on what our chosen media reported on.
