The study aims to investigate the feasibility of small-scale electricity production with solar electricity systems, also known as PV (photovoltaic) systems, in Australia. Due to the global warming, sustainable energy has in recent years become an increasingly important issue, both internationally and in Australia. With one of the largest dependencies on fossil energy sources in the world, the country's abundant solar radiation is a possible solution to this issue.Both the technical and the economic feasibility of small-scale PV systems were investigated. On the technological side, the electricity generation, distribution and consumption systems were studied. On the economical side, the parameters that drive the profitability of a PV investment were investigated.

An unpredictable global environment has resulted in high unemployment in Sweden in 2025. To ensure continued positive development of the country's GDP, it is therefore important to promote organizational diversity, as this can in turn contribute to increased innovation. However, unconscious bias among managers and recruiters can lead to distorted recruitment decisions that risk undermining diversity efforts. This study aims to increase understanding of how managers and recruiters handle unconscious bias during recruitment, as well as to identify specific methods organizations can use to improve their diversity. The study includes twelve qualitative interviews with respondents in formal managerial or recruitment roles from eight different organizations, analyzed through theories and previous research.

North of the city of Stockholm lies the area called Södra Roslagen composed of several municipalities. The purpose of this essay is to discover how local informants describe the food culture of the region and analyse why some types of food are mentioned and others are excluded. Several people within the food industry of Södra Roslagen were given surveys asking them to describe the food habits of the area, from commodities and certain dishes to traditions. These answers were analysed using the theories regional food, regiocentrism, revitalisation, placeless food and the idea of viewing culture through the long and the short perspective.One informant mentioned that professionals in the food industry of the region tend to follow trends from the rest of the world and another that many producers work with ecological requirements. Södra Roslagen was also defined by some as having a taste of summer as this coastal area sees an influx of visitors during that season.

I detta arbete undersöks gymnasieelevers fysiska självuppfattning med instrumentet Children and Youth Physical Self-Perception Profile (CY-PSPP) för att reda ut om det finns samband mellan fysisk självkänsla och subdomäner till den fysiska självkänslan och betyg i kursen idrott och hälsa A. Hur förhållandena ser ut mellan dessa variabler är också centralt. Resultaten som analyseras har samlats in från tre gymnasieskolor i Mellansverige. 184 elever, 79 flickor och 106 pojkar, har fyllt i enkäten. Statistisk analys med chi-tvåtest visar samband mellan betyg i kursen idrott och hälsa A och pojkarnas varseblivning av fysisk självkänsla, fysisk kondition, fysisk styrka och idrottslig kompetens där pojkar som avslutat kursen med höga betyg har höga värden och det motsatta förhållandet gäller för elever i den lägre delen av betygskalan.

The climate changes and the global warming have a great impact on the Arctic environments. This partially depends on that the albedo is getting lower when snow and ice is melting and exposes more and more dark surfaces of the land and sea. This leads to a feedback effect; the melting accelerates because dark surfaces attract more sun radiation. Because of the heating the glaciers in Arctic retreat. The purpose of this report is to obtain an eventual change in elevation on the glacier Lomonosovfonna that is located on Svalbard by comparing elevation data collected by NASA and GPS data from 1996-2012.

Målet med denna kandidatuppsats är att kritiskt granska medborgardeltagande inom svensk stadsplanering. Medborgardeltagande studeras i en samhällelig, ekonomisk och politisk kontext, med kritisk teori som utgångspunkt. Uppsatsen bygger på en litteraturstudie. Syftet är att bredda författarens kunskap om och förståelse av medborgardeltagande inför framtida arbetsliv, samt att lägga en teoretisk grund för fortsatta studier av medborgardeltagande. Den huvudsakliga frågeställningen behandlar villkor för medborgardeltagande, med fokus på förutsättningar och hinder för aktivt deltagande.

The subject-matter of the following essay is to investigate the relationship between what is commonly called Deep Ecology or Biocentric Philosophy, as articulated by the co-founder of the Deep Ecology Movement, Arne Naess, and later proponents of the biocentric school of environmentalist thought. I contrast Naess? concept of Self-realization as founded in his Ecosophy T to the ideas of american conservationist and co-founder of the radical green movement Earth First! Dave Foreman, and to the controversial finnish environmentalist and ecofascist Pentti Linkola?s ideological agenda of population-reduction respectively.According to some critics of the movement, especially the social ecologist Murray Bookchin and French liberal philosopher Luc Ferry, the Deep Ecology ideology is essentially misanthropic and totalitarian in structure. A central idea among deep ecologists is that ecosystems and natural entities have intrinsic value in themselves, even outside a human social context. This idea is thought of among deep ecologists to create a philosophically sound basis for counteracting the environmental global crisis.

Bostadsbubblan sprack och huspriserna började falla under 2007. Krisen intensifierades och utvecklades till en global finanskris under 2008 då den amerikanska investmentbanken Lehman Brothers tilläts gå i konkurrs. Botten nåddes sannolikt under 2009 som präglades av en global recession.

This essay is about the history of the Swedish board game-industry from the 1970?s to today. The essay focuses on the companies in the business and how they change during this period and about the causes of this change. This essay aims both at accurately describing the development of the industry as well as asking the question of what influence factors from outside of the industry have upon the change during this period of time. The material used in this essay is mainly extracts from interviews with people who have been working in the industry during the period, as well as literature on the subject and product-catalogues from certain years in the time-frame.From this material I have outlined the basic history of the industry.

This essay started with a describing of Vision2020 that aims to get incoming tourism doubled and to make global travellers choose Sweden as their destination at the first place. Furthermore, we discuss those 12 priority markets that a Swedish leading communications company in the tourism Visit Sweden puts effort and promotes. Poland was not on the list of the selected countries. With our research we aim to show that the Polish market has potential. Compelling factors point to that Sweden and Poland are neighbour countries with good transport connections and, not least, that the countries have long historical relationships with each other.

Dagens ökade internetanvändning har öppnat upp möjligheten till etablering på en global marknad vilket har lett till ett ökat intresse att utforska nya potentiella marknader. Vi har därför gjort en studie av hur potentiella kunder i Polen och Sverige vill få information om en fastighetsmäklarbyrå för att se vilka likheter och skillnader som finns emellan länderna. Vår studie omfattar potentiella svenska och polska kunders inställning till utvalda planerade och oplanerade budskap som företagen använder sig av i sin marknadsföring.Syftet med undersökningen är att se vilka skillnader respektive likheter som finns vid hur första kontakten med ett fastighetsmäklarföretag ser ut för en kund i Polen respektive Sverige. Undersökningen visar även vilka marknadsföringskanaler som är mest önskvärda av potentiella kunder och ger dessutom en översikt över vilka kanaler företagen använder sig av i praktiken. Vi har genomfört både kvalitativa och kvantitativa studier.

Examensarbetet som beskrivs i denna rapport handlar om en ny teknik för att förbättra säkerheten för flygplan i luften och i närheten av flygplatser. Denna teknik benämns ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast), och är tänkt att göra det möjligt för piloter att själva få information om trafik i närområdet. Nuvarande system baserar sig i huvudsak på visuella observationer från flygledare i kontrolltorn samt radarspaning omkring flygplatserna. Med det nuvarande systemet kommer det att bli både dyrt och svårt att upprätthålla en acceptabel nivå på flygsäkerheten när trafiken ökar. The debate on the future of Nuclear power in Sweden has increased with the discussion on global warming. The uncertainty of fossil fuel- and carbonprices the latest years has aroused considerable interest in Nuclear from power companies, industry and politicians. Nuclear power plants have negligible CO2 emissions and are not directly affected by increased price of emission rights and fossil fuels. The future power production needs to reduce its emissions of greenhouse gases to become sustainable. The purpose of this study is to examine the value for power producers to have the option to invest in Nuclear power and how a Nuclear power venture would affect future electricity prices. The study uses two methods, a traditional cash flow model and real option analysis, to estimate the value of Nuclear power.
