Mammary tumors are the most frequent type of tumors in bitches in Sweden. Many studies have been published concerning mammary tumors, but there is still much to be learned about this disease. One has, since some time ago, had the knowledge that addition to or removal of methyl groups to genes can inhibit or activate gene-expression. Methylation and demethylation is a normal phenomenon in the body and it is essential for the development and survival of the individual. The risk of developing a tumor disease is increased if the global methylationstatus is changed; if oncogenes demethylates (activates) or if tumor suppressor genes methylates (inactivates). In the human medicine one has seen that there are differences in methylationstatus between different tumors. In this study tumor and normal tissue from ten dogs were examined with regard to methylationstatus.

Begreppet Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), som är företagens sociala samhällsansvar har blivit allt viktigare i dagens samhälle. Den grundar sig på företagens frivilliga samhällsansvar och är indelat i tre ansvarsområden: ekonomisk, miljömässigt och socialt ansvarstagande. Syftet med CSR är att företag ska driva sin verksamhet på ett långsiktigt hållbart sätt för att kunna uppnå det måste det finnas en optimal balans mellan de tre områdena.Ett omtalat begrepp inom CSR är hållbar utveckling, som definieras enligt (World Commission on Environment and Development, 1998:57) som en ? utveckling som tillfredsställer dagens behov utan att äventyra kommande generationers möjligheter att tillfredsställa sina behov?. I takt med att CSR blev allt viktigare ville företag redovisa sitt arbete och med tiden utvecklades en del riktlinjer för redovisning av CSR arbetet.

This is a study about a company in Norrköping, called Stadium AB, and its first steps into the global market. We have studied how the conditions of the company have changed during their expansion. This study is not written from the viewpoint of business economics, it is rather a study from a cultural and social studies perspective. The study deals with subjects such as the globalization of society, organizational theories and leadership. The empiric material consists of Stadium?s staff magazine Tracks, the company?s swedish homepage on the Internet and an interview with Sussi Calås-Jonsson, Chief of the Department of Information at Stadium AB.

Al Gore may have helped put global warming on the agenda. However, it is not a new subject. Neither is so called green marketing a new phenomenon within branding and communication. As more and more companies establish environmental strategies there exist beliefs that the environmental focus is becoming a triviality, which is the reason for this study. Implementation of words such as ?environmentally friendly?, ?green? and ?global warming? is becoming more and more widespread and frequently used within marketing communication.

The introduction is to create a transparent and consistent reporting. Mainly to provide companies, investors and financiers the same access to world capital markets. Since the introduction of IFRS, the goodwill value is determined by annual impairment tests. If an impairment of goodwill is a fact the goodwill decreases in value.

The purpose of this study is to describe the traceability of products that protect against counterfeiting and examine how protection against counterfeit products have been developed to date, and to display the opportunity to streamline the protection of products and brands.Nowadays, in the global world, it is getting increasingly more difficult to track the products. Especially for the last link in the chain, which in most cases is the customer and who is constantly exposed to risks. This report deals with the possibilities of preventing and detecting counterfeit products. Fake products are not unusual in an historical perspective. It has been common with counterfeits ever since the Middle Ages continuously until today. Forgers have become more skillful and they are successful in most industries. Many of the fake products are of poor quality and can be downright dangerous to the customer.To answer the question, the author used a qualitative collection method.

Syftet med detta arbete är att utifrån lärares och elevers upplevelser kring skrivundervisning beskriva hur skrivundervisningen bedrivs i två undervisningsgrupper i gymnasieskolan och jämföra det med aktuell skriv- forskning. I vår bakgrund redovisar vi den forskning som ligger som grund för den processorienterade skrivundervisningen ur sex aspekter: syftet med skrivundervisningen, skrivförberedelsen, skrivfasen, textresponsen, textkvalitén och skrivutvecklingen. Vår metod bestod av att ur ett fenomenologiskt perspektiv intervjua två lärare och tre elever ur respektive lärares klass. Resultatet visar att den ena klassen befinner sig övergripande på den lokala textnivån medan den andra klassen i större utsträckning har nått upp till en global textförståelsenivå. Förklaringen till denna skillnad hittar vi i skrivförberedelsefasen, där lärarnas presentationer skiljer sig åt.

Prior research on the ability of financial ratios to predict bankruptcies has shown a significant difference between the companies that went into bankruptcy and those that survived. This paper investigates whether there is a difference in the prediction ability of financial ratios during the last financial crisis compared to relatively normal macroeconomic environments in which most previous studies have been conducted. We use univariate analysis to compare companies that went into bankruptcy during 2010 and 2011 with companies that remained active. Our dataset consists of 51 failed companies that are matched with 102 companies that remained active. All companies were Swedish limited companies with more than 50 employees and the comparison is made with 26 financial ratios.

The aim of this study is to investigate the components of religion and spirituality in the specific context of "Fryshuset" ? a multicultural and glocal arena. Against the backdrop of contemporary researchers such as Heelas and Woodhead and their hypothesis about the "spiritual revolution" and a "new spirituality", as well as the postmodern discussion about "the return of God", this study discusses how religious change can be understood in the context of Fryshuset.The theoretical point of departure is taken in a hermeneutical method where Fleck´s theory about "thought-collective" and Gidden´s theory about the "duality of structure" are used in order to understand and describe the dialectical relationship between individual and social structure.The method used in this study is qualitative. The interviews are made of six individuals representing different social projects at Fryshuset.By analyzing the material from the field study through theories on religious change, three areas are identified:"The subjective turn"Religion and spiritualityA Cosmopolitan interpretation of life The result of this study is that the religiosity among the interviewed can be described through Taylor?s understanding of the "subjective turn".

Problem: After several corporate scandals concerning accounting around the world a discussion concerning corporate governance arose. The public demanded greater insight and better corporate governance in public companies. The discussions led to the development of codes of corporate governance, codes such as the Sarbanes Oxley Act, the Combined Code and the Swedish Code of Corporate Governance. The Swedish code is a clarifying of the Swedish law, a codification of praxis and in some cases an increase in the demands on reporting of information from the companies.Purpose: The purpose of the thesis is to describe what effects the Swedish Code of Corporate Governance has had on the content of annual reports of listed companies and if different types of companies have been affected in different ways.Method: The investigation was conducted using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Through a preliminary study knowledge about the subject was gathered.

Samhället har i en allt större utsträckning utvecklats till att bli ett informationssamhälle, där intressenterna ställer allt högre krav på företagen. Företag världen över har börjat fokusera på hur de påverkar den omgivande miljön, och rapporterar detta genom att upprätta en hållbarhetsredovisning. Förutom miljön, rapporterar även företaget i redovisningen hur de arbetar med de sociala och ekonomiska aspekterna för att nå en hållbar utveckling. I Sverige finns det idag inga lagar som reglerar de separata hållbarhetsredovisningarna, vilket gör att företagen åtar sig ett arbete som sträcker sig utöver vad lagen kräver. Syftet med den här studien har varit att undersöka vilka motiv som ligger bakom ett företags val att framställa en separat hållbarhetsredovisning, samt att ta reda på vilka riktlinjer som används vid upprättandet.

The aim of the study was to examine individual staff experience and management of threats and violence in the acute psychiatric department for children and teenagers in Uppsala. Previous research shows that the experience of threats and/or violence is individual, and that it is difficult to distinguish between these concepts. Research shows that it is particularly vulnerable to work in psychiatry when mental illness is a cause when threats and violence occurs. Threats and violence can result in different consequences for the individual. The study is based on qualitative interviews and the material was collected in the autumn of 2012 at Akademiska sjukhuset.

Hållbarhetsredovisning har blivit en alltmer accepterad och etablerad redovisningsform bland företag. Detta har visat sig inte minst genom att den svenska regeringen införde ett krav år 2008 på att samtliga företag med statligt ägande ska upprätta en hållbarhetsredovisning samt få den externt granskad. Denna redovisningsform har successivt börjat vinna mark och allt fler företag har börjat upprätta hållbarhetsredovisning vilket revisionsbranschen känt av i form av ett ökat antal granskningsuppdrag. Revisionsbranschen tillämpar idag granskningsstandarden Revisionsrekommendation 6 (RevR 6) för granskning av hållbarhetsredovisningar och med anledning av att företag allt oftare önskar ett externt bestyrkande av sin hållbarhetsredovisning finns det ett behov av en väl fungerande granskningsstandard. I denna studie strävar vi efter att kartlägga drivkrafterna bakom företags upprättande av hållbarhetsredovisning.

Introduction:A good work environment and good resources among district nurses? and general nurses? are important in the provision of good nursing care. For patient security it is also very important that resources and time are used in an appropriate way. A lot of time is spent on non-core activity, for example administration takes more and more time, which can result in feelings of stress.Aim:The aim was to describe how district nurses? and nurses? in primary care perceived their work environment, how their worktime content was distributed and if there was some connection between perceived work environment and the distribution of work time.Methods:A mapping of the content of the work was made in two parts.
