I denna uppsats redovisas en jämförelse av den skriftliga delen mellan tio godkända uppsatser från nationella provet i Svenska som andraspråk B och tio godkända uppsatser från Test i svenska för universitets- och högskolestudier (Tisus). I uppsatsen görs först en analys av två syntaktiska konstruktioner, därefter en undersökning av förekommande bisatstyper och till sist en global bedömning av texternas funktionalitet. Analyserna visar att majoriteten av testtagarna har god behärskning av syntaktiska strukturer i svenskan. Skillnaderna som förekommer, på en syntaktisk nivå, mellan uppsatserna handlar om individuella informanters brister och några generella slutsatser kan inte dras. Däremot finns större skillnader gällande den globala bedömningen.

Mammary tumors are the most frequent type of tumors in bitches in Sweden. Many studies have been published concerning mammary tumors, but there is still much to be learned about this disease. One has, since some time ago, had the knowledge that addition to or removal of methyl groups to genes can inhibit or activate gene-expression. Methylation and demethylation is a normal phenomenon in the body and it is essential for the development and survival of the individual. The risk of developing a tumor disease is increased if the global methylationstatus is changed; if oncogenes demethylates (activates) or if tumor suppressor genes methylates (inactivates). In the human medicine one has seen that there are differences in methylationstatus between different tumors. In this study tumor and normal tissue from ten dogs were examined with regard to methylationstatus.

This is a study about a company in Norrköping, called Stadium AB, and its first steps into the global market. We have studied how the conditions of the company have changed during their expansion. This study is not written from the viewpoint of business economics, it is rather a study from a cultural and social studies perspective. The study deals with subjects such as the globalization of society, organizational theories and leadership. The empiric material consists of Stadium?s staff magazine Tracks, the company?s swedish homepage on the Internet and an interview with Sussi Calås-Jonsson, Chief of the Department of Information at Stadium AB.

Al Gore may have helped put global warming on the agenda. However, it is not a new subject. Neither is so called green marketing a new phenomenon within branding and communication. As more and more companies establish environmental strategies there exist beliefs that the environmental focus is becoming a triviality, which is the reason for this study. Implementation of words such as ?environmentally friendly?, ?green? and ?global warming? is becoming more and more widespread and frequently used within marketing communication.

The purpose of this study is to examine how immigrants are portrayed in the Swedish daily newspapers online reporting. The essay investigates in what context immigrants, as individuals, are made visible and how they and their origins are reproduced. The study focuses on the roles victim and aggressor, and is also investigating potential differences between morning and evening newspapers.Present theories are discursive discrimination, critical discourse analysis, cultural racism, stereotypes and structural discrimination. Adopted methods are qualitative and quantitative content analysis, based on the Global Media Monitoring Project-tool.The results show that immigrants are not individually stereotyped or depicted negatively, but that their immigrant origins often have a central part of the story, that they are mentioned mainly in connection with negative news and that negatively charged words occur frequently. .

The purpose of this study is to describe the traceability of products that protect against counterfeiting and examine how protection against counterfeit products have been developed to date, and to display the opportunity to streamline the protection of products and brands.Nowadays, in the global world, it is getting increasingly more difficult to track the products. Especially for the last link in the chain, which in most cases is the customer and who is constantly exposed to risks. This report deals with the possibilities of preventing and detecting counterfeit products. Fake products are not unusual in an historical perspective. It has been common with counterfeits ever since the Middle Ages continuously until today. Forgers have become more skillful and they are successful in most industries. Many of the fake products are of poor quality and can be downright dangerous to the customer.To answer the question, the author used a qualitative collection method.

Hybrid aspen is a crossbreed between European and North American aspen. It is a fast growing tree species that has shown strong growth in the South of Sweden. The follow-ups that have been made on hybrid aspen stands, have mainly been done on plant material in the South of Sweden. In the North of Sweden, only occasional studies have been made, and the knowledge of Northern hybrid aspen stands is, thus, unsatisfactory.In the South of Norrland, land owners have planted hybrid aspen, but what kind of plants it is, and how well these stands have established, is not ascertained, since data has not been compiled on the subject.The objective of this study is to evaluate practical plantations of hybrid aspen in the South of Norrland regarding height growth, survival and damages. The ambition is to increase the knowledge about practical plantations regarding height growth, survival and damages, and from the conclusions thereof, give recommendations for future establishments of hybrid aspen in the area.For the study, eight hybrid aspen stands in the South of Norrland were localised.

Syftet med detta arbete är att utifrån lärares och elevers upplevelser kring skrivundervisning beskriva hur skrivundervisningen bedrivs i två undervisningsgrupper i gymnasieskolan och jämföra det med aktuell skriv- forskning. I vår bakgrund redovisar vi den forskning som ligger som grund för den processorienterade skrivundervisningen ur sex aspekter: syftet med skrivundervisningen, skrivförberedelsen, skrivfasen, textresponsen, textkvalitén och skrivutvecklingen. Vår metod bestod av att ur ett fenomenologiskt perspektiv intervjua två lärare och tre elever ur respektive lärares klass. Resultatet visar att den ena klassen befinner sig övergripande på den lokala textnivån medan den andra klassen i större utsträckning har nått upp till en global textförståelsenivå. Förklaringen till denna skillnad hittar vi i skrivförberedelsefasen, där lärarnas presentationer skiljer sig åt.

Prior research on the ability of financial ratios to predict bankruptcies has shown a significant difference between the companies that went into bankruptcy and those that survived. This paper investigates whether there is a difference in the prediction ability of financial ratios during the last financial crisis compared to relatively normal macroeconomic environments in which most previous studies have been conducted. We use univariate analysis to compare companies that went into bankruptcy during 2010 and 2011 with companies that remained active. Our dataset consists of 51 failed companies that are matched with 102 companies that remained active. All companies were Swedish limited companies with more than 50 employees and the comparison is made with 26 financial ratios.

The aim of this study is to investigate the components of religion and spirituality in the specific context of "Fryshuset" ? a multicultural and glocal arena. Against the backdrop of contemporary researchers such as Heelas and Woodhead and their hypothesis about the "spiritual revolution" and a "new spirituality", as well as the postmodern discussion about "the return of God", this study discusses how religious change can be understood in the context of Fryshuset.The theoretical point of departure is taken in a hermeneutical method where Fleck´s theory about "thought-collective" and Gidden´s theory about the "duality of structure" are used in order to understand and describe the dialectical relationship between individual and social structure.The method used in this study is qualitative. The interviews are made of six individuals representing different social projects at Fryshuset.By analyzing the material from the field study through theories on religious change, three areas are identified:"The subjective turn"Religion and spiritualityA Cosmopolitan interpretation of life The result of this study is that the religiosity among the interviewed can be described through Taylor?s understanding of the "subjective turn".

The aim of this paper has been to examine personas role in the development phase and whether or not some of the criticism that have aroused against personas is valid or not. In this paper we examine the benefits as well as the downsides of working with personas both from a scientific point of view but also from the experiences of a small company located in the north of Sweden. Since personas much like many other powerful tools have pit falls aswell as do's and don'ts this paper looks to clarify what role personas should take aswell as how to minimize risk and maximize the usefulness of personas..

Det här är min examensarbetes-rapport. Jag arbetade med en liten grupp andra på en teaser och en trailer för ett spel som North Kingdom utvecklade åt Disney. I mitt examensarbete fick jag erfarenhet i att jobba på ett stort projekt för en stor klient under kort tid. I denna rapport kan du läsa om mina med- och motgångar och vad jag/vi gjorde för att lösa problem som uppstod på vägen. During the 19-century a global warming has been observed, which includes increases in global air and ocean temperatures, widespread melting of ice and snow, and rising global sea level. There is a clear connection between emissions of greenhouse gases caused by the human and the increase in temperature. Climatic changes caused by global warming can be stopped trough decreased emission of fossil fuels, for example by an increased use of biogas. Biogas is a renewable energy source which is produced through anaerobic (oxygen free) digestion of organic material. The gas is a mixture of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2) and can be among others used as fuel in vehicles.

Ett förslag på design av gränssnittet på förstasidan av ett intranet är utformat med tanke på användbarhet med utgångspunkt från attityder och motivation.Arbetet är utfört hos Familjen Dafgård AB i Källby, ett företag inom livsmedelsbranschen.Två gränssnitt är designade, ett efter minimalistiska principer med ett fåtal rubriker innehållande både global och lokal information i en djupare struktur för att stimulera till en action-oriented approach och att locka till sig nya, ovana användare. Det andra med utgångspunkt från informativa startsidor eller en maximalistisk design med rubriker i flera nivåer för global information samt ikoner för lokal information.Gränssnitten är utvärderade med tanke på användbarhet med hjälp av REAL metoden, Relevans, Effektivitet, Attityd och Lärbarhet. Som komplement till denna metod som utvärderar på detaljnivå används en definition kallad användbarhet i kontext. Denna hanterar användarvänlighet, användarkompetens, användaracceptans och informa-tionsbehov på en mer global nivå.Utvärderingen baseras på en kvalitativ ansats med intervjuer och observationer av sex försökspersoner som har fått pröva de två versionerna av gränssnittet. Fyra ovana och två vana internetanvändare.Resultatet visar att av de två versionerna är den maximalistiska startsidan är att föredra.

This Master Thesis has been conducted as an assignment of the Swedish Defence MaterialAdministration and the Swedish Armed Forces and aims to examine the Target Location Error(TLE) of a Forward Observer System. The targeting accuracy of the system is vital if the systemis to be used as a sensor for precision munitions. The analyzed system, EOI (FOI 2000), wasdelivered to the Swedish Armed Forces in 2007. The targeting sequence starts with deciding theposition of the system with a GPS-receiver, continues with methods where the north direction issettled and ends by measuring the distance, direction and elevation to the target. When allparameters have been measured the system calculates the position of the target.
