Background One of the main demands on Swedish and global health care in general is to meet the patient?s need for safety. By general health care law this also comprises district nurses? field of responsibility. Although there are numerous studies describing the concept of safety and its different shapes, no research could be found exploring how safety is, or supposed to be, mediated by district nurses? in a Swedish context.

The purpose of this study is to make a close and critical scrutiny of the EU Lisbon Strategy and the assumption of `sustainable growth´. A basic question is to clarify what is meant by `sustainability´ in the economic and the environmental dimension respectively, and also, to analyse the meaning of `sustainable growth´. Secondly, I try to investigate the relationship between the economical and environmental dimensions of the strategy. Are the goals of the dimensions compatible and mutually supporting or are they conflicting? By illuminating these issues the study moves towards a final set of questions: What are the arguments that encourage or counteract the Lisbon assumption of `sustainable growth´? Is the European Union approaching `sustainable growth´ looking at different economical and ecological indicators? What are the prospects for the Lisbon Strategy as a way towards global `sustainable development´?.

Förståelse för hur vår mat påverkar klimatet blir allt mer viktigt. Grisproduktion har visat sig ha betydligt mindre klimatpåverkan än nötköttsproduktion dock har befintlig forskning visat att all köttproduktion relativt sett leder till stor miljöpåverkan. Att grisen står sig starkt i miljösynpunkt jämfört med nötkött ger inget skäl till att inte försöka göra grisen mer klimatsmart. Syftet med studien är att beräkna potentialen att minska den svenska grisens klimatpåverkan genom olika produktionsförändringar. De produktionsförändringar som undersökts är; användning av förnyelsebar energi till stall(vindkraft), biogasproduktion av gödsel och användning av restprodukter som foder och då matavfall. Detta är en screening-livscykelanalys där endast Global Warming Potential tas i hänsyn med ett 100 års perspektiv. Den funktionella enheten(FE) är 1 kg ben- och fettfritt griskött. Genom att använda förnyelsebar energi i form av vindkraftproducerad el till stall kan klimatpåverkan potentiellt minskas med 3,3 %.

Hållbar utveckling i skolan? en studie om hur lärare arbetar med hållbar utvecklingSustainable development in school? a study about teachers work with sustainable developmentI detta arbete har jag tittat på hur lärare med inriktning mot naturvetenskapliga ämnen arbetar med hållbar utveckling i klassrummet. Jag har i teoriavsnittet valt att börja med en definition av begreppet hållbar utveckling där de tre olika perspektiven miljö, socialt och ekonomi tas upp. Sedan beskrivs det aktuella miljöproblemet global uppvärmning, för att sedan i teori delen ta upp vad som står om hållbar utveckling i läroplanen och i kursplanerna för kemi, biologi och fysik. I det sista teoriavsnittet beskrivs hur två olika skolor har arbetat på olika sätt med hållbar utveckling.Metoden som har använts i undersökningen är kvalitativa intervjuer där fyra naturvetenskapslärare har intervjuats om sin undervisning i hållbar utveckling.

Through a discourse analysis inspired, theoretically and methodically, by Michel Foucault, this essay examines how the idea of food ? that is ?what should be eaten? ? in opposite to what can be eaten, is constructed within by Slow Food members in the Gothenburg area. The essay analysis how Slow Food?s food discourse is structured and what results this formation has on food within this discourse.

To tackle this problem the international community has agreed that action is necessary. WesDyne TRC AB is a fully owned subsidiary of the global WestinghouseElectric Corporation. WesDyne is a world leader in non-invasive methods for theinspection of nuclear power plants. One of the inspection platforms used to scanfor defects in and around the welds in the reactor vessel is called the T-crawler.The T-crawler operates under water in a radioactive environment by stepping onthe vessel (reactor tank) inner wall using suction cups. The environment is harshand many traditional positioning sensors are not suitable for implementation. Thisthesis investigates the possibility to use a gyroscope and a pressure sensor tocreate an alternative and independent positioning system.

The single market is one of the underlying ideas of the European Union. Free movement of goods and efficient competition are central for the function of the union and are therefore carefully protected by the Treaty of Rome. Exclusive rights of trademarks in the EU can be seen as a method of dividing the common market, preventing the free movement of goods and to be anti-competitive. What comes out of this is that there is a conflict between exclusive rights of trademarks and the rules of both free movement of goods and competition. The aim of this work is to see in which kind of situations the exclusive rights of trademarks can be a part of this conflict but also to study how this problem is resolved by the European Court.

This was a turningpoint that is refered to in this dissertation an history-graded critical event, which is assumed tohave a significant impact on peoples lives.The purpose of this dissertation is to examine whether or not political parties in Swedenresponded to this critical event in the way that they, in their party programmes, haveformulated policies related to climate change. Alternatively if media produces an image ofpolitical activity which does not comport with the forming of actual political standpoints.

Första januari år 2013 trädde den senaste versionen av MARPOL Annex V i kraft. Denna studie har genom en litteraturstudie samt intervjuer med nautiska befäl sökt svar på vilka förändringar som skedde, hur dem implementerats ombord samt hur förändringarna upplevts av sjöfarare. Syftet med studien var att bidra med en pusselbit till bilden av hur avfallssortering utövas till sjöss samt hur arbetet med det upplevs. Litteraturstudien kom fram till att den stora skillnaden är att papper, glas, metall samt aska inte längre får slängas i havet. Inom specialområde får endast matavfall destruerat genom avfallskvarn slängas överbord.

DeLaval är en global koncern som tillverkar mjölkningssystem och utrustning för attunderlätta det dagliga arbetet för mjölkbönder. Den första januari 2009 introduceradesen ny utvecklingsmodell för att ta fram produkter och lösningar som kallas DeLavalCorporate Standard 015 (DCS 015). Syftet med detta examensarbete var att utreda hurmiljöaspekter kunde implementeras i DCS 015 och utveckla ett mätbart miljöverktygför att erhålla information om vilken miljöpåverkan utvecklingsprocessen faktiskt bidrartill.Examensarbetet inleddes med en teoristudie av området hållbar utveckling och företagsmiljöarbete vilket resulterade i den teoretiska referensramen i rapporten. Sedan utfördesinterna intervjuer på DeLaval för att utreda hur tidigare och nuvarande miljöarbete harutförts och vilka delar av detta arbete som kunde vara värdefulla att bevara i DCS 015.Samtidigt utfördes intervjuer på stora, internationella företag med en uttaladmiljöprofilering för att utreda vad DeLaval kunde ta till sig från andra företagsmiljöarbete. Informationen som inhämtats från teoristudien och de utförda intervjuernaanvändes sedan för att presentera förslag på hur DeLaval kunde implementeramiljöaspekter i DCS 015.Examensarbetet resulterade i insikten att för att ett företags miljöarbete ska varaframgångsrikt behöver det bestå av en kombination av miljöverktyg ochmiljömanagement.

This study in Environmental Science examines the amendment of the EU-Directive on. Greenhouse gas emission allowance trading. The Directive is to be considered as a tool for fulfilling the obligations that the Union and its member countries have taken on through the 1997 Kyoto agreement together with the protocols proposed at that time. The flexible mechanisms of the protocol are intended as instruments for limiting the climatic changes arising from anthropogenic sources, emission allowance trading being one of these mechanisms. The results presented here consist primarily of an analysis of interviews with various experts in the field of emission control concerning the possibilities and problems attending the process of implementation.
