The practice of residential treatment of youth has been up for debate for quite some time. The debate regarding institutional care has voiced concerns regarding the lack of follow-up and evaluation of treatment and its efficacy. It is especially important with additional research on residential treatment conducted from the perspective of those being treated, as well as the treatment providers. This study aims to add to this field of research. The study is based on two empirical studies conducted through qualitative interviews.

Uppsala universitet The aim of this master?s thesis is to investigate, through text analysis, the role of copyright in development, with particular interest of how the concepts knowledge and access to knowledge are used in Access to Knowledge Draft Treaty and WIPO Development Agenda. The definition of the concept knowledge, as it is used in copyright, is based in a Western historical and philosophical context and therefore excludes knowledge created in another type of society. The consequences of this exclusion have effects on development. Further it is stated that knowledge according to the global copyright scheme will be reduced to a commodity, which will have consequences not only in societies in the global South.

Since the adaption of Common Agricultural Policy in 1995 the Swedish wheat market has been exposed to the world market and Swedish farmers are facing new challenges. A broader knowledge about market integration and price transmission will facilitate Swedish farmers, banks and politicians in making rational decisions. Work environment has been an important part of the Swedish working life for a long time and with the help of the Working Environment Law the work environment is mandatory. The purpose of this study was to gain a deeper insight into how the system of middle managers systematic work environment looks like. The question was: How do six middle managers perceive and deal with systematic work environment? A qualitative study was conducted with six middle managers from a global company. During the analysis, there were three main themes to be recognized (cooperation and support facilitates the work environment, problem with the systematic work and difficulties with staff) and six sub themes.

Introduction and background: The 1990s crisis and the global financial crisis year 2008 shows the same indications that the property market was affected negative. The Swedish Property companies had a difficult time on the market when the crisis led to decreased property trade and financing problems for the Property companies. The Swedish property companies became less attractive on the market and contributed to a drop in prices on investment property.Purpose: The purpose of this essay is to examine if there is any relation between the Swedish Property companies impairments on their investment property and the global financial crisis year 2008.Method: The essay is based on a quantitative study where we examined Swedish Property companies? annual reports. We answered our questions and our purpose from the empirical data that we collected from the annual reports.Conclusions: The study resulted in that we found a correlation between the Swedish Property companies? impairments on their investment properties and the global financial crisis year 2008.

Sedan de borgerliga partierna varit i opposition har man efterlyst förändringar inom den svenska utvecklingspolitiken. Utvecklingspolitiken är samlad i skrivelsen Politik för global utveckling(PGU). Arbetets syfte är att undersöka om det skett några förändringar inom PGU sedan de borgerliga partierna intagit regeringsställning år 2006. Frågorna som är ämnade att besvaras är dels om det går att urskilja några väsentliga skillnader mellan den föregående socialdemokratiska regeringens politik för global utveckling och den nuvarande borgerliga regeringens och dels om den politik för global utveckling som den borgerliga regeringen för, är en del av lösningen på en internationellt ickefungerande utvecklingspolitik. Genom en kvalitativ textanalys är avsikten att utföra en komparation mellan de två regeringarnas PGU för att på så sätt uppvisa eventuella skillnader.

De snabba förändringarna på den globala arbetsmarknaden har medfört att mycket fokus har riktats mot studie- och yrkesvägledningens roll. Syftet med vårt examensarbete är att undersöka hur en mindre grupp studie- och yrkesvägledare kompetensutvecklar sig för att vara ett stöd i skolans arbete att förbereda elever i grundskola och gymnasieskola för en globaliserad arbetsmarknad. Vi vill samtidigt undersöka några elevers förståelse av och framtida tankar om en global arbetsmarknad. Vid genomförandet av denna undersökning har vi använt oss av enskilda, kvalitativa intervjuer med sex studie- och yrkesvägledare, verksamma på olika skolor i Skåne. Dessutom har vi gjort en fokusgruppintervju med fem elever på grundskolor och gymnasieskolor i Skåne.

The purpose of this study is, on the basis of institutional theory, to contribute with moreunderstanding about resistance to management accounting change and also to survey reasonsfor the resistance and how to cope with the resistance.The study is a qualitative case study and semi-structured interviews have been used tocomplement the study?s theoretical area, consisting of scientific articles.The conclusion from the study is that resistance to management accounting change can beunderstood and explained by the institutions of each organisation and its underlying structures. In 2009, the Swedish Basketball Federation started a Region U15 development project in order to change the structure of the regional organization to get into a more transparent and similar operations throughout the country. My purpose is to study the attitudes to the change among the region leaders in the regional operations and evaluate the change from an organizational perspective. The study is primarily based on the following questions: What are the experiences of the change process among the region leaders in the regional organization? How involved have region leaders been in the changing process? Which are the positive and negative aspects with the regional operation today? What can be done further to develop the regional operation and to what extent do the organizational change follow general organizational theories? In my study, a qualitative method was used in terms of interviews with 8 regional leaders to understand their attitude to the project and the changing process. To analyze the results of the region leaders ?responses, a transcription have been made.

Change is a recurring element in society and for sports clubs. When there is a change in society, this change may have an impact and change the condition for sports clubs and its leaders. Changes can be degraded into trends. This study has been delimited to study four social trends that research shows may have an impact on sports club, which are; Increased commercialization, changing demographics, changing communication patterns and increased individualization. To help sports clubs in their development it is of value to find out how these changes are perceived.
